My transmission failed, brought my truck here and it is back in business and we did a rebuild as the replacement would've been almost 6k. So I opted for the rebuild. Went great and truck is driving like a dream.

Great experience with Al over at fargo auto and transmission. Rebuilt my transmission for half the price it was gonna cost for remanufactured. Best price in town, I called around. Al is fair, honest, and a great mechanic. Highly recommendService: TransmissionService: Transmission

Absolute best transmission shop in town. I had him rebuild and install some upgrades to a transmission over a year ago and I have just rolled over 10,000 miles on it and it s running as strong as can be. Highly recommend!!

They're all very nice people here, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Maybe my overall experience was atypical. However, everything after the initial drop off was not confidence inspiring. I called ahead and asked if they could install an aftermarket transmission into my vehicle, which they assured me could be done. I dropped off the vehicle, and the installation was really quick. Afterward however, when I asked if they could ship my old transmission back to the shop to cover the core charge, they acted like I had asked them to move a mountain. I said I would still cover the shipping cost, I just have no idea about freight shipping or how any of that works, and they still said "no, no I think you should do that" almost like they were afraid. I still haven't done anything because I don't know where to begin for that. They also mentioned not having a dolly, which is crazy because they're a transmission shop. The install was fine for a few days, until the ground cable for my vehicles electrical system came loose. The ground for my specific vehicle is located on the transmission, and maybe it was unrelated and coincidental, but I feel it was worthy of note. All in all, they did ok, and I would possibly consider them again for in-house only work, but trying to coordinate between them and aftermarket companies was not great.Service: Transmission

Called multiple places to price check, happened to come across Al s number from a good friend. I Happened to call him on his off time yet he was still very professional. He quoted $400 cheaper then everywhere else to rebuild my 4l60e with a 2 day turn around. So I Took my truck to him because my 3rd to 4th gear clutches were burnt out, and he called me 2 days later to come pick it up and it was like driving a new truck.. couldn t have been any more happy.. he even warranties his work for a year so that was icing on the cake.. will definitely be hanging on to his number for future reference

Yes. Al is the most honest straight forward car technician I have ever met. And his work is top quality. You can't beat the prices anywhere. More so you can not beat the quality. Highly recommend

I was sure my transmission was blown. Al diagnosed a $50 part that I could replace myself. He saved me thousands of dollars with his honesty. Highly recommended.

THIS IS DAVID MCCRACKIN FROM FARGO N.D. I OWN J&J REPAIR &ROOFING LLC. MY 2008 F450 WAS LEAKING TRANS FLUID SO I TOOK IT TO AL AT FARGO TRANS HE FIX MY TRUCK AND IT RUNS &DRIVE LIKE NEW SO IF YOU HAVE A TRANS PROVLEM. THANK YOU DAVID MCCRACKIN FOR J&J REPAIR AND ROOFING LLC FARGO FARGO N.D.

Have an 01 Chevy Silverado 1500. Had the transmission done a little over 3 years ago. Put 35,000 on it and the transmission is shot. Worst place
