My spouse and I played the back 8 tonight. The real Hole 16 is under renovation; club house staff represented that it would be available for play next season. Even with one hole missing from the round there was nothing to complain about. Power carts are clean and GPS equipped. Staff was courteous and friendly. The amount of merchandise available in the pro shop was surreal. You could play a poor round here but you would forget your play quality because of the surrounding beauty of the Badlands. If you crave elevated tee boxes the the back 9 is undoubtedly the place to go.The regular season is forecasted to end September 29. Take a break from whatever you are doing and come enjoy this remote treasure; you will have no regrets.

We had an amazing day here. What a great afternoon of golf. 75 and sunny with a slight breeze early in May, early in the golf seasonThe course was in good shape. It would be fun to play it in July or August when the course has had a nice summer to really manicure it.The first 10 holes are solid and fun. Nice layout. Hard but not too hard.It is very important to play the correct tees for ability because there are many holes you have to carry your drive.Holes 14-18 are some of the best I have ever played. Amazing in every way. Beautiful. Unique. Challenging and spectacular. Wow.Good service. Pro shop has a lot of very nice merchandise too.

4.75 . Had an excellent experience at Bully Pulpit with three other golf buddies. We all compared notes and came to the same conclusion that this is a fun and scenic golf course that lives up to our expectations. The fairways and tee boxes were all in good shape. The greens and fringes were manicured well also. Some holes were understandably designated cart path only due to rain from the night before. Our occasional errant shots that managed to find the rough usually produced more than a fist full of extra lost balls we happen to stumble upon. The drive in was nice. Seeing the dozens of bison along the interstate was just a plus in the experience. Would ve given five stars but there was just a couple greens that had some dry spots maybe from winter mold, but it was very minimal and didn t affect our play. Thanks and happy golfing.

There are TWO golf courses I've played in my life that I remember as the most beautiful/memorable that I've ever stepped foot on. The first is a Jack Nicklaus signature course in Cabo, Mexico, that costs $400+ per round (worth every penny...really!), and this course, which runs considerably less. The stark contrast of the badlands with the emerald green fairways and greens on this course is nothing short of breathtaking, and there are just enough challenges (16th hole will challenge anyone) to make you want to come back, but not frustrate you into wanting to quit. Well worth the trip!!

Phenomenal. The back 9 is especially spectacular. I'm a plus 20 handicap but I did fine and thoroughly enjoyed the course and the spectacular beauty. Hole 16 is breathtaking - I hit into the bunker and was happy with that (took a drop instead of trying to get out). The landscape is so different and there's a small river running through the course at one point. Theodore Roosevelt national park is nearby and we visited that on the way out.

Absolutely amazing!!!!! I would say probably one of the best public courses in the United States. The back nine is unbelievable. Friendly staff all around #1 course.

Absolutely the best course I ve played. You don t notice the slow play or even the aerated greens, 30mph swirling winds all you notice is the absolutely beautiful landscaping and natural wonders hundreds of feet in the air (on the back nine). Truly awe inspiring.September 2021

August 2023. I visited from Michigan, rented clubs and jumped in an open spot because I was by myself. New cart paths on the front 9: Concrete! Were nice. The course was in great shape. Hole 16 was closed, so an extra hole on the front was used to replace it. Holes up in the elevation were great. Maybe I like it because I got a par on the Par 3 Elevated hole (not typical for me) Fun to play, I would recommend. My favorite part of one week visiting ND for the first time.

Fun track in a beautiful setting. The service was just ok. The starter tried to push us out early cause he was running ahead of schedule. When I pay $100 or so for a round of golf I ll tee off at the time I chose. I made that tee time for a reason. He was ok with that but I feel like the approach from him should have been asking, or letting us know earlier was an option. Not trying to be a boss and attempting to order us to tee off early. Minor issue. The manicuring of the course was lackluster. Think nice muni. There s not much competition in the area and the setting is spectacular so I think they feel like they don t need to have exceptionally accommodating service. I won t go out of my way to play it again. If I happen to be in the area I d go but that s about it. Honestly the Dickinson municipal had better fairways and greens and friendlier staff. I guess worth the experience but that s all. Now that I ve been there and can say I played it I don t need to go back.

One of the most beautiful golf courses we've ever played. It's like playing golf in the Badlands. We played in mid-September and the fall colors added to the beauty. Holes and views from the back 9 are especially stunning. No water challenges but some forced carries. Greens were recently aerated but still played relatively fast and true. You will not be disappointed.

Played 36 on Thursday, 36 on Friday... Yes I love it. My favorite course ever and the staff at this course and Medora at large are fantastic. Hole in one on #13 Friday morning. They gave me this pin flag that made me cry, ?Who dose that anymore? :()()()

103 degree golf, thank goodness for the occasional breeze. The employees did a great job hydrating players with coolers of iced bottled water at several holes.Fun and challenging course with many lost balls lol. The back has amazing views and imaginative holes. Would highly recommend golf here.

Disappointed we could not play all 18 holes as under construction, but the 9 holes we played were amazing. Course in great shape and views were incredible. Club house staff very pleasant. Hope to get back in a couple years to play the whole course.

The course in major rehab, fairways have numerous ground under repair, three holes replaced by temporary par 3's, greens not consistent. Signature holes on back "8" nice, but paying full price for a course in this condition was disappointing to someone driving 3 1/5 hours. When making reservation was not advised of how bad course was.

I recommend golfing in the twilight hours. Less people, better views with a setting sun, and less expensive. Not sure if I would pay $100 right now with the renovations but the twilight times aren't bad. I usually try to golf once a year when my work schedule allows and even by myself it's enjoyable.

I don t like to write negative reviews because I never want to hurt feelings to start, I will say the course is very well maintained. The landscape is very pretty. The staff was kind and helpful . But none of that could make up for the ridiculous amount of grasshoppers and other crawling creatures all along the cart paths, tee boxes and elsewhere. I m not saying a few here and there.. I m talking full infestation. Absolute swarms of them. It s absolutely ridiculous to pay $125/person to deal with that for 18 holes and there s no reason for it. There are multiple sprays that get rid of grasshoppers without harming vegetation. We left after 5 holes. Complete waste of money. I will never be back.

We ve played the course three times on our way west to vacation. It s a great course, spectacular views and well maintained. It s a tough course, lots of placement shots, bring extra balls. We look forward to seeing the Medora musical on one of our future visits.

I have golfed in 47 of the lower 48 states, and of all the courses I have played this one is my favorite. This has the most beautiful scenery you will ever find on a golf course. Besides the beauty, it's just a really nice golf course.
