We were on a short bus trip with Judy's Leisure Tours from Fargo..We spent only one night at the motel but were very pleased with it... Our room was very clean with a fridge & microwave.. Bed was comfortable and service at front desk was great.. Clerk was friendly and outgoing--- a real asset to the place.. Location is great---just a short walk to the gospel brunch & also small mini mall with many types of shops..

There are not many options in Medora but these accommodations were surprisingly cozy and quieter than expected for a motor inn vibe. Our room was clean and spacious and each room had a fabulous copy of a Theodore Roosevelt book to peruse along with a stuffed teddy.

Staff were super friendly at check-in, and we were very impressed with our rooms. They were comfortable, clean, and so dark and quiet, we had the best night s sleep. Location was great, cute little row of shops right across the street where we walked to for coffee and breakfast, and very accessible to the rest of the town and Teddy Roosevelt National Park.

Beds felt like heaven. The bedding was extra comfy and the bath linens were ridiculously soft. (I even took a photo of the tag on the towels and my husband asked the lobby clerk where to source them) If we had had the time we would have extended our trip purely because we slept so well. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Loved the added touch of the Teddy Teddy bear on our bed.

The stay and everything was fine. The issue was when I returned home and found out that the amount I was charged for the room was $110 instead of the $78 that I was supposedly charged the night I reserved a room at the front desk. Some of the fault falls on me as I did not make sure I received a receipt. I do not believe that I was given one, but if I had, I did not keep it. Please make sure you do this AND keep it.After finding this out I initially called the company and was told that even if I provided a receipt that $110 was the amount that I was "supposed" to be charged. After a few emails back and forth with the motel it was apparent that I was in the wrong and they had no interest in rectifying this. I made suggestions that they talk to the lady who worked that night to try to find out what could have happened, but I don't feel that they ever cared or wanted to look into the issue. I'm working through my credit card company to see if there is anything they can do about it now. I'm writing this review as a courtesy warning for others.

We had a very long drive and needed a nice inexpensive place to stay for the night with our dog and child. This was definitely on my top stay list! The man on the phone was very accommodating and even though we were to arrive at 3 am, he said he would leave the key on the dresser in the room for us when we got there. The beds were super comfy and firm. And we woke up to such a spectacular view!!! If you need a homey place to stay the night, stay here!

We've been staying here every summer for years and we adore this little gem. It has a nostalgic feel but is up to date and very well kept. The pool is fabulous and the mini golf us super fun!

Medora is a wonderful little western town and really caters to tourists. Stayed 1 night at the Badlands Motel. Clean, cute and accommodating. The bed sucked! Hard, small for a queen, pillows were hard, so glad it was just 1 night. Didnt get much sleep.

This Motel has been fully renovated since I was last here. The beds are comfortable, the room is spacious, the bathroom is extremely clean and modernized and the location is perfect to walk anything you want to go to. you could feel comfortable weather here as a single, a couple, or a family group.

Got to late to the campground we were supposed to stay at. Came here. Great price! Check in guy was nice! Soft beds soft pillows. They just redid the bathrooms they were nice. Glad we were able to find a decent motel with short notice. Also small fridge in room and cafe :)

Reasonable, and great pool volunteer staff with some modern updates to room. Wifi okay. Not so good:Poor inter-room sound insulation (can easily understand neighbor quietly talking through the pass through doors (maybe not insulated?),Air conditioning kicks on every 10 min runs 2 minutes during 65 degree night (too narrow 0.5 degree threshold? Poor thermal insulation?).Light switch inside the door turns on nothing (so stumble into pitch black room).Bathroom door doesn't lock.No light outside bathroom in closet area.

The motel is very western, but very clean and comfortable! I would highly recommend it Rooms: The rooms were very clean and had a refrigerator, no microwave, but there was one in the office area.Walkability: Medora is easy to walk around in. It is a very small town.

The restaurant was very busy but we were seated quickly. There was absolutely no attempt at social distancing and no staff were in masks. We were able to find a table that allowed us to isolate a bit but overall it was concerning. The food was mediocre at best-my husband didn t get the fries with his meal and my sons meal was cold; they did replace it for him. Our server was great and did correct the issues but all in all it was a disappointing, expensive meal.
