Had a catalytic converter go bad while on a job. These heros got me in and out same day and I didn't lose the position.I hope I don't have any more car prthis winter, but if I do then Hometown will be my first choice. They even gave me a ride to the hotel, and offered to come get me as well when it was ready. One week later and it's running great!( I was the green Subaru forester with the pilot car rig. Thanks again guys!)

Lightning fast service! Brought my car in unsure of exactly what was causing the issue. Car was looked at within an hour, diagnosed, repaired and back in my possession in 2 hours! Most places won t even look at your car within that time frame.Clean environment, knowledgeable & friendly staff. Reasonable prices.Highly recommend Hometown Automotive!Great service all around!

I can not speak highly enough of this business. My vehicle was experiencing coolant system issues on a drive across the continent and I was on a tight timeline. The shop took me in right away. I was treated with the utmost kindness and professionalism and they got me back on the road faster than I imagined possible. They didn't even charge me for the inspection. I count myself as fortunate to have found the shop in such a pinch. My gratitude cannot be sufficiently expressed in a review but I have a smile ear-to-ear as I resume my drive out east.

A/C had been acting up, my dealership back home in the cities had botched the fix three times. AC went out again on my way to GF and these guys got me in the very next day! I dropped off at 9 and they had a follow up call to me by 11. Prompt and friendly service, from both the owner who I talked to on the phone, and Matt who was working on Friday. The fix turned out to be very easy, and they charged me NOTHING, not even the hour of labor it takes to get behind the dash of this generation of ford truck. Wish you guys were in Minneapolis! If you re local, this should be the only place you bring your automotive issues.Service: Electrical repair

I would like to give a shout out to Hometown Auto Repair in Grand Forks!Being a business owner ourselves, we know how important it is to find a good, reliable automotive shop.My son was on his way back to UND from Bismarck when his truck started to have some issues. My husband contacted Hometown Repair and said to have my son bring it right over and they would work him in. They were reasonably priced and very nice to work with my son said.Being away from home and having car troubles can definitely be a pain. It is nice to know there is a place like Hometown Repair that is willing to help our kids out.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went to 5 other repair shops in town was in panic mode. The wife's car was throwing codes for cylinder misfire. No other shop could help me due to us leaving the state the next day someone recommended I go over to hometown. Walked in ran down my problem and deadline got brought right in . Not only did they fix my main problem but found out I had bad wheel bearings as well was also able to get both front wheel bearings replaced and had my car back road worthy ready for our move. Very grateful and appreciative for them. Anyone looking for auto repairs should definitely go here well worth it for the service alone. A+++ I showed up during lunch hour on a Friday, the first clear day after a fierce 3 day blizzard, parking lot was full of vehicles awaiting repair, my truck is in limp mode and I am from out of town...not a good situation. The owner diagnosed issue within the hour and had his guys stay well past 5 to get me on the road, he even borrowed me his personal vehicle so I wouldn't have to sit in the shop all day. I can't say enough about the above and beyond customer service I received and fair prompt repair. The shop had all the latest tools and computers for late model vehicles. The GMC stealership down the road told me good luck we might be able to look at it Monday or Tuesday as they had cars out the doors as well.

I had an issue with my vehicle while driving through the area. I called around to shops in Grand Forks and many couldn't get me in or didn't want to. Hometown Auto told me they would fit me in right away. I went in and they took the time to find out what was wrong and fixed it. I was on my way in a couple of hours. The owner was great to deal with and prices were fair even though they knew I was desperate. I would highly recommend.

I was really happy with my experience with Hometown. They were friendly, fair and efficient. My car broke down in the morning and it was ready for me by the end of the day. This was priceless as I have 2 little ones that I tote around!

Can trust these guys to give you quality service at the lowest price possible.Will do their best to get your vehicle in and out so you dont have to wait a week for an appt if time is of the essence.

Great place to go to have your vehicle fixed only to be charged over what was quoted, car smelt like drugs when picked up, job incorrectly done in more than one instance, including not installed parts that were part of the service and doesnt give me a bill or follow up with phone calls until 3 weeks later, then send the bill (300 over quote) to collections. Very accurately described what the problem was and addressed it. Did not try to upsale in any way. Warned me about potential complications, but were relieved also when it really was just the belt that broke and not more.

Anytime I visit this repair shop. I get good feedback. Someone could be in the middle of another project. They will stop what they doing to see what's the problem with your request. Great staff!

PLEASE HELP Car ran wonderful when I got it back so far so I thought.. I noticed that I had some white smoke come from my driver headlight I didn't think anything of it because it just had the intake gaskets timing cover and a bunch of other stuff I need to find the receipt for the work it added up to over 2000 dollars on all of this. I appreciate you guys doing the work but when you guys tell me I don't have any leaks but if it does to bring it back. No problem OK? Well I noticed not even a week later TRANNY FLUID AND OILAND MY MAIN PROBLEM EM WITH MY ANTIFREEZE WAS NOT FIXED AND AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER MY PROBLEM EAST NOT AS BAD AS ITS GOT AFTER I GOT IT BACK FROM THESE GUYS. SO 2000 DOLLARS ON MY FIRST CAR WHICH IS A GRAND PRIX GT THAT THE ENGINE RAN BEAUTIFUL TILL I LET YOU GUYS TOUCH AND NOE YOU WON'T EVEN DIAGNOSE WHAT HAPPENED TO IT. SO I JUST HAVE TO. DEAL WITH MY CAR LIKE THIS AND EXPECT IT TO BE SENT TO THE JUNK YARD AND MY FRIENDS DAD CHARGED IT ON HIS CREDIT CARD AND NOW IT IS SITTING OUTSIDE MY HOUSE ON THE STREET PLEASE HELP.
