My wife and I purchased a 2013 2.4L Chevy Equinox on 11/10/2023 from Gateway Clearance with approx 134,000 miles on it. We really liked the car and the purchase experience was great. Unfortunately after approx 1,000 miles driving we brought it in to Gateway Service for a check engine light on March 19, 2024 and discovered the engine repairs would be very costly. I contacted Andrew McDonnell, Sales Manager at Gateway Clearance, and after reviewing the situation he agreed to work with me on resolving the issue. I would also like to compliment Shane Monjeau, Service Adviser at Gateway Chevrolet Service and anyone else who was involved in producing a positive outcome out of a negative situation.

I have to say that these guys went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of.My service advisor Shane set me up in a car while mine is still being fixed. That took a huge weight off of my chest!To make things even more convenient, Cody Pratschner from the Clearance Center (where I bought my car,) made sure to call me and ask what was happening, and figured out a plan to get this taken care of! All thanks to my salesman Ryan Graham, for bringing it to his and Ryan Payson s attention and getting the ball rolling in the right direction!You 4 ROCK!I appreciate each and every one of you that had a say in this! You guys are great at what you do and really care about the customers.Thank you so much.

I really hate doing this but this is the second time in a row this has happened. I had an appointment in the morning for an oil change and differential fluid change and spent over 8 hours waiting for my pickup. I was offered a ride but had nowhere to go so I spent my whole day at a store nearby and at dealership. I was going to have them fix an oil leak that was estimated at 30 dollars the trip before where they previously took 3.5 hours to rotate my tires. This oil leak turned into what they said would be a 3,000 dollar repair because they would have to remove my engine to fix. I didn't get this estimate until 4.5 hours into my appointment today and waited the additional 3.5 for the oil/fluid change. I didn't get my pickup back until I walked to service area and asked if it was done and forgotten about. Nice Service man but as I said before the amount of time these trips have taken has been far too long in my opinion and think there should be more efficient service.Service: Auto maintenance

Felt like I was lied to for what was being repaired. I was told that a wire harness was being replaced. I had no idea that that meant 2 feet of wire being spliced into my ABS wire harness in an easily accessible area. Had I known what the fix actually was I wouldn t have done the repairs at all, 2 feet of wire and one connector for $200 and $350 in labor. I was told that GM sets the prices well I wasn t given photos of old, I didn t even sign off on the work just a phone call that asked is it okay if we replace the wire harness which to me meant more than what it was. I ve bought vehicles here and was planning on buying more but the service just left a bad taste in my mouth. GM sets the prices well some clarity on what s actually being installed would be great.

Paid a whole hell of a lot of money on repairs to make my car slightly safer. One of the repairs was a oil leak repair. When I finally got the car back and drove it home. I noticed oil spots on my drive way as well as a dripping noise hitting the skid plate.The shop has great customer service BUT lacks good mechanics. Or lacks the due diligence of management to follow through to check work or verify it was done correctly.If you go here Take Pictures prior to work done. Ask questions. Mark components that need replacement so you can see it the work was done.I hope I make it to my destination. I thought ahead and got extra oil.To the shop do better.To the customers be safe.

I was treated well and and everyone was very polite clean bathrooms and clean store. Complimentary coffee and espresso along with other treats. I was kept informed of my vehicles progress through the process. And physically shown printed reports. Thank you for the great service!

Oh you know, called to get a headlight replaced. Was told to just come on over. Waited for 20 minutes for a person to even talk to me to inform me that they wouldn't have an opening until Tuesday (it's Friday today). Not a huge fan of having my time wasted so I'll try somewhere else next time. Being the busiest doesn't mean being the best I guess.

He is very disappointed with the service I had received They said they fixed the problem drove it home had to turn around and go back because the same codes on my vehicle popped up again so in addition to the money I spent prior I had to throw more money at it They said it was the fuel pump while the thing that they fixed, they fixed causes codes for the fuel pump so I could imagine that that never even needed to be replaced
