They are quick and efficient at their job. They quoted us 2-4 weeks on a transmission rebuild on my 2012 GMC Yukon and had it done in 4 days. Highly recommend then for all your transmission needs.

I love this place. I have multiple vehicles and these guys are the best around. They are quick to get vehicles in and gone through. They might have a time period to wait before they get your vehicle out the door but they wouldn't have that many slots booked if so many people didn't trust them to do the quality work that they do. They have always honored their warranty if something went wrong with the new parts. Never had i encountered a workmanship issue. If you need transmission, transfer case or rear end work done, this is the place to be. Thank you to all your staff for your diligent work and professionalism!

This company will not return my calls or e mails. At least 5 phone calls and 4 e mails. I paid them to install an additional transmission cooler and upon picking up my truck I noticed right away transmission fluid leaking from the front end. I investigated and found the fitting they install was leaking. I took a picture of that and sent it to them. In addition, before I picked up the truck I called ahead and asked if they needed to add fluid due to the fact that the additional cooler would increase the capacity for fluid. The woman who answered the phone put me on hold and then upon getting back on the phone with me said "they said it had plenty of fluid". To me this means the fluid level is proper. I subsequently found out that too much transmission fluid is damaging to the transmission. As I drove the vehicle the day I picked it up it kept overheating. So I properly checked the fluid level and found it had too much fluid. I subsequently stopped at a shop and had the fluid changed and set to the proper level. No problems after that, except for the leak. I asked for a small compensation for my time to fix there incompetent work ( I didn't say it that way). They are ignoring me. Any transmission shop who can't install a fitting, can't check for leaks and doesn't know how to properly check or fix fluid levels doesn't deserve your business.

Outstanding!! I was passing through, my transmission failed. The team at Schmidt helped to make this situation pleasant. I felt cared for, informed and confident in them from start to finish. It took a few days, waiting for the shipping of the tranny from dodge, but they were on it once it was in. Thank you!!

Worst experience I ve ever had left my transmission there for 2 months kept getting excuses finally give up and went and got it not only had they not touched it they left it out in a snow bank!!!! Had trouble with my Ford F-150 not shifting into 5th. Was sent here by another repair shop that didn't do transmission work. Schmidt identified the problem was not my transmission and was most likely a clogged catalytic converter. It sounded very odd that that could be the problem but I did some research and found it was possible. Called some other shops around town and they all quoted me at 1-2 thousand more than Schmidt did for a replacement. How a transmission shop is able to identify a non transmission problem that Chads automotive clinic couldn't, and do a cat replacement cheaper than midas muffler could, is beyond me but they did great. Truck is running perfect now and I couldn't be happier. They did install longer bolts than I would like but I will just angle grind those off. Thank you so much Schmidt Transmission!

Fixed my leaks very well, though they didn't find all of them. Would give 5 stars except that it's a little annoying to have to take my truck in twice for transmission leaks.

I think they did a great job on the transmission on my friend's van it shifts nice well driving down the road shifts in gear real easy no not no clock when the engine ships turn people off the desk all around good guys

I was traveling through Dickinson on a long-distance move on a Friday when my clutch and bearing finally went. The guys at Schmidt transmission were extremely helpful and were able to take down the transmission on the same day while waiting for the clutch assembly to come in. After they worked overtime to install the clutch, I was back on the road after a day and a half. The work was very timely, especially since I was a no-notice Friday drop in and the quote was spot on. Shout out to the guys at Schmidt for going out of their way to get me back on the road. If I lived in the area, I'd be a dedicated customer for any powertrain issues.

They did an amazing job on my truck, they were honest and didnt charge me a ridiculous amount of money. Very friendly and helpful staff there. I recommend this place to anyone having transmission problems.

Personally wouldn't come here. Their mechanic, Ryan Cole, is all over Facebook bashing small business owners. Wouldn't come to a small business that bashes other small businesses.....

I had a bad UJoint in my dodge. I had the parts and had the driveline out and just needed someone to install them. Everywhere I called was book for a week or so. I called and they squeezed me in and even stayed late to make sure it was right and only charged me what they quoted on the phone.!! Great people!

Rick and the guys helped me at the racetrack figure out an issue while they were still racing themselves. Great customer service and nicest guys you could meet. Would send anyone to them.

After the first leak i ran into another where o was told by sschmidt that it was a vibration issue after further looking into it bolts were not torrqedService: TransmissionService: Transmission

No matter what chance I've given them it's been a bad experience. Lack of communication major lack. If you don't have to use em I recommend finding someone else! Good luck

Had them put a Transmission in my truck that they built and it lasted 14 months with 18k miles on it and the bairing went out because they never replaced them and didn't stand behind there work

I brought my 2006 impala SS to get repaired and fixed they said it was going to take them one week to do they had my car for 3 1/2 weeks and then they stop answering my phone calls these people these people are terrible with handling their business so if I had to recommend this place I would not look somewhere else
