These guys are fantastic! Always honest. My car was ticking, Doug said " let's check the oil"we did, it was low. I put oil in he Didn't charge me anything. Great service and really great folks

Went with a friend who was picking up her car as it is a well-known place to go for UMary students with car troubles. Wonderful staff and service with the most adorable greeter!

I am an Italian travel blogger. I travel with my van. The transmission of my van was broke. I spent 2346 dollars to rebuild. Three month later the transmission was broke again. He give a warranty of 20000 miles. The transmission worked for 2000. Now I am in Pennsylvania and i phoned to him asking about the warranty. And The owner told me that the warranty is good only if I got problems with the transmission in North Dakota. It's a shame!!!Don't go in that place if you want your car in good conditions.

2013 equinox transfer case went out. Finding a local mechanic who treats you with respect and does not take advantage of you. The Folks at northland performance replaced the transfer case a day ahead of time and stayed within the quoted price. VERY fast, very professional, clean shop, fair prices. I would give more stars if I could. The very least I can do is give them a good review. I highly recommend them! Services: Transmission replacement, Oil change

I was first told I would not get my car back until June 8th and they had it ready on May 31st. They explained everything they did and the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Had a wheel bearing go out an hour outside of town 1300 miles from home. This crew is absolutely incredible. You feel at home in the shop and they did everything to get me back on the road and back to work. If I could give 100 Stars I would. Great people. Great shop.

Very professional, very clean mechanic's, I had my little GMC four-wheel drive pickup timing chain replaced there very happy with the service they left the engine compartment spotless. A fair price for a good job in my opinion. I will be taking my 77 Ford pickup to them for old school work.

I was recommended by my father-in-law to bring our Equinox here and I am glad I took his advice! The staff is very knowledgable and trustworthy. I suddenly had major issues with how our vehicle drove and by the next afternoon it was ready for pickup. (Electrical/Engine) I will be back again for all our vehicles. Last November my daughter was having car troubles. Since I am not from ND, I called Northland Performance to see if they could help her out. Doug went above and beyond to get her car in and fix what was wrong for a very reasonable price. Then, a few weeks back, I was heading to ND and had an engine light come on. Doug again went out of his way to get my car in and fixed by the next day, so I could make it home safely. He does amazing work and goes that extra mile for his customers! I showed up without an appointment, and the staff exceeded my expectations of getting our car looked at the same day. I was referred to Northland Performance by a co-worker who has been coming here for several years. I can tell you I was extremely satisfied. Doug and his staff were very professional, thorough, honest and fair. Doug kept us updated all along the way. They alerted us to a failed battery load test, which was crucial considering temperatures are expected to fall below zero next week. In addition, they noticed a rear license plate bulb was out. They replaced both the battery and bulb. Very thorough inspection, which is exactly what I wanted. Doug and staff were completely honest and correct when they could not detect any leaks from our vehicle, which we thought were occurring. Thus, total honestly and no unnecessary work was done - which in my opinion is rare to find. Doug was kind enough also to provide a ride home when I left my vehicle at his shop. I will definitely return for all our maintenance services in the future. Thanks much Doug to you and your professional staff!

Everyone was very nice here, and my vehicle was turned around very quickly with the issue fixed after multiple visits to another shop. I will be coming back. Their four legged helper was also very prompt in greeting me as soon as I walked in!

I was traveling from Washington state to Michigan 60 miles west of Bismarck my engine sputtered and shut off, not to start again. AAA recommended Total Auto. I had the vehicle towed to there. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing. I intended to leave the vehicle there for them to determine the problem rent a car to finish my journey, and decide on a course of action when I was told the cost of the repair. Doug convinced me it could be a minor problem and committed to have someone on it first thing the next day. Doug was true to his word. By 9:30 the following morning my vehicle was parked outside ready to go. The cost was very reasonable. Doug could have easily taken advantage of my situation. If I lived in the area, I would have all my vehicle servicing done by Doug and his crew. Thank you Doug and Jeff.

Doug is extremely nice and i feel like he genuinely wants to help people. My vehicle had some issues when in for a routine brake change. Doug and his employee stayed two hours past closing time to get my car done so i wouldn't be without a vehicle and didn't charge me any extra than he quoted me, I will definitely be going back!!

Exceptional customer service. My vehicle was leaking fluid and the replace the water pump. Two weeks later I'm leaking fluid again and they said to bring it in immediately. They looked at it again and tried numerous techniques to find the new leak. I have an older vehicle which I want to continue to drive for a few more years. Having a great mechanic who knows what they are doing and willing to take the time to explain the situation is so valuable. Highly recommend for all of your vehicle needs.Service: Transmission

My car broke down outside Bismarck. i had to get it towed to the AAA recommended repair place. I had to get a rental and go back home, so my car was left there overnight. the owner called me in the morning and said he would have a chance to look at it later in the day. he called back a couple hours later and quoted me at $600 repairs. When I came back he billed me $375 after the services. I was helped and attended to quickly and efficiently. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This is not my first visit to Northland. I am a repeat customer because Northland is quick. They do a good job. They communicate well during the process and let you know what options there might be for treating any issues your vehicle might have. And, they don't try to upsell you on parts or services just to pad the bill. I am very pleased with my experiences with Northland Performance.

Had to be towed by AAA from interstate. He went way out of his way to get my car done by the weekend ,even finding the part that Chrysler was in no hurry to get to him. Very fair cost. Would recommend him wholeheartedly. Tough to find a reliable mechanic when traveling, so save yourself some trouble & just go here.

The owner is a nice person and I believe they do good work although they just finished so that may be more of just a guess. The issue I have with this place is he was upfront with the costs except that it changed when I got the bill. He said he misspoke on the phone is that my fault, I should have to pay for that. If you are counting on the total to be $500 and It turns out to be 795.90 I'm going to say that's a bit of a misquote. Lets be honest the prices are atrocious out in ND in general for shop work, but I heard good reviews so I went. BE VERY CLEAR AS TO A TOTAL. Don't get burned like I did. If I would have known it was going to be that high I would have gone somewhere else or bought the damn parts myself and had a buddy fix it up. If your going to Misquote your Total.... HONOR YOUR WORD. Notice how most of the good reviews are from years past nothing current.

With truck failure 1000 miles from home Northland provided excellent service the same day I phoned them. How many repair garages offer that kind of service? I am deeply grateful for your kindness and willingness to help a fellow traveller. You folks rock.

Fast and friendly service, and they do a good job. No complaints. I had a tricky problem with my vehicle that would have taken many attempts to find. They didn't want to throw parts at it (as I obviously didn't either). They did get it fixed. They pointed out some future issues that will need to be addressed but weren't crucial. They didn't just fix them without my ok.

I highly recommend Northland Performance for any auto service repairs.Doug and his staff are very professional and very good mechanics. They have repaired a couple of our vehicles and we were very pleased with the work that was done. I will refer any of my friends that need any vehicle repairs to Northland Performance.

Being from out of town I have been to a couple places in the Bisman area for my auto repair needs. After coming across Northland Performance I will not do business anywhere else. I feel very lucky to have found a place that is not only clean and professional but treats its customers like friends and family. If you are looking for honest auto work at a fair price look no further.

Feel completely taken advantage of. I am new in town and needed a mechanic so I found one with several good reviews. What a mistake. I had to take the car back for the same problem twice. He charged me $255 just to tell me that I needed a head gasket in my daughters car..oh..but he replaced my thermostat which wasn't broken obviously. I have a headlight and a taillight out and just haven't been able to find the time to do it so I asked him if he could do it for under $25 (I supplied the lights) and he said no. Wow. But he's quick to say God bless you after he takes your money. Time to find another mechanic,,,this guy is ridiculous and doesn't represent us Christians very well,

I have been going here for years, I always get great service, the quality of work is great and I have always been dealt with honestly. Northland Performance is the only auto repair place I have been to where I truly feel like they are looking out for my best interest rather than a quick buck. I would stand behind their honesty and integrity. I have tried others, this is the only place I go now.

We've been taking our 99 truck to them for years. The mechanics know there jobs and are dependable. And the pricing is fair.
