Rob was incredibly helpful and extremely conscientious. My college-student daughter s car, an older model Honda CR-V, began acting strange as she was driving on a Sunday evening. She had it dropped off at Almost New Auto and left it, having never visited the shop before. Beginning the next morning, Rob worked with me (from 350 miles away) and my daughter, then diagnosed and repaired the immediate problem (it was brakes) and also made sure to do a thorough check of everything else to ensure my daughter could be confident in driving it again. I cannot express what a pleasure it was to do business with the shop and what a comfort it is for a Dad-from-a-distance to now have someone I can trust to look after my daughter s car!

Rob is by far the best mechanic I've ever met. He is incredibly thorough, honest, and runs Almost New Auto with the highest level of integrity. Communication is excellent and pricing is most fair. The repair process was transparent from the onset and I knew exactly the work to be performed and the cost associated with said repair. I trust Rob explicitly for all my Mercedes repair/service needs as he is a true professional in his field. Update: Been using ANA for many years. Rob cares about his customers and takes the time to explain auto issues. He is dependable and his work is top quality. We take all of our vehicles to Rob.Even when I am out of state and have an issue with my very used car Rob is there. He always gauges my needs against my budget and then gives practical advice about what to fix first. :) Glad to have discovered him years ago. Highly recommend Rob and Almost New Auto.

I recently bought a '70's Merecedes. I am so thankful I found Rob at Almost New Auto. He is so knowledgeable and helpful. My car is old and needs TLC. Rob has been able to explain exactly what my car needs needs and why (without trying to do extras that I don't need just to increase the price). Prices are very reasonable and the service is personalized. I highly recommend Almost New Auto. Communication is great and Rob is pleasure to do business with.You certainly cannot get the same individualized service or price at a dealership.

I just purchased a used vehicle from Rob and it was such a pleasant experience. I was completely comfortable in the purchase because Rob had personally serviced and drove the car (minimum of 300 miles) before he even offered it for sale. Also, I experienced a small defect the day after the purchase and Rob had me bring it in and he corrected the issue in a matter of an hour and did not charge me for the service. I would highly recommend Almost New Auto to anyone looking to purchase a used vehicle.

We have used Rob at Almost New Automotive since he opened shop in Winterville. He has keep all our vehicles running in tip top shape. Rob is like having a doctor that you can trust. Rob always gives our cars a good going over whenever we have a car in the shop for any reason. He always what needs to be repaired now and what we will need to consider to repaired in the future. He has always been there for us and his work is top notch and reliable. I would recommend Almost New Automotive to everyone.

I have always always always had bad luck with cars and car salesman!! Almost New Auto has changed my mind about that. The owner Rob is more than nice. He is honest, trustworthy, and really has your best interest at heart. I purchased a 2006 Toyota Camry from ANA. The absolute BEST car I have ever had!! When I picked it up it was beyond spotless he even put a little extra gas in it for me!! I was 36 weeks pregnant and had just got a car somewhere else that broke down in 2 days smh he got me set up and on my way in my Camry!! Rob is a very honest man unlike most salesman who just want your money. Rob really cares about his customers!! All he wants with you at the end of the day is A Good Car Story and thanks to ANA I finally have mine!!-Heather Holden

If you are looking for trustworthy, knowledgeable, and skilled automotive technicians, Almost New Auto is at the top of the list. Rob has repaired my father's 1988 Mercedes Benz (engine, brakes, body) and serviced my primary vehicle (ignition coil, routine service). I am continually impressed by the care, knowledge-base, and precision of the service. He researches problems when the solutions aren't readily available. If you're interested, Rob will educate you on the mechanics of the vehicle. Almost New Auto is committed the highest industry standard- and beyond when it is achievable. I am not only pleased with the work, I also feel safe and confident when driving the vehicle. The icing on the cake- the fees are more than reasonable. I give Almost New Auto my highest recommendation.

Rob was recommended to me by a friend after a recent car purchase. My encounter with him thus far has been nothing short of amazing. Although, I have not yet had any major car repair done at his shop, I have had a few major concerns with my car - which turned out to be a minor fix. After sharing my concerns, Rob s attention to detail & diligence allowed him to discover something that had obviously been over looked by previous mechanics. The time, patience & persistence he was willing to go to showed me that he genuinely cared & was determined to get to the bottom of things. Upon discovery of my minor problem & after 2+ hours of driving my car with me & as well in depth discussion & explanation he was willing to fix the issue on the spot! I left feeling very comfortable & satisfied. I know that I will return with any future needs for my car. Thanks Rob! :)

My wife and I took our 2010 BMW X5 to Rob at Almost New Auto to diagnose some issues. I received the most thorough and comprehensive diagnostics I have ever seen. They made the repairs, and even gave advice on what to do based on expertise. Don't hesitate to take your BMW's and foreign cars especially to Almost New Auto.

I take all my auto needs to Rob for service. He does everything you need for any type of vehicle. Very upfront and honest and works with you to make sure what needs to be done gets done right the first time. Impeccable communication skills, outstanding workmanship, and reliable service. Don't trust anyone else with your vehicle!

Let me tell you something about Rob at almost new. This man is the most trustworthy mechanic I know. And I have worked with them all. I have worked for an AutoParts store for 13 years.and I can tell you out of all the shops i have worked with he is the best.if you want your automobile in the care of someone you trust at a reasonable price he is the guy!!! Rob has been servicing my 2010 X5 for 2 years now. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to diagnose the issue. Like another post stated integrity is the word that comes to mind when thinking about Rob. He always covers repair estimates and the why with you prior to any work being done. In addition to my vehicle he also provided exceptional service to my parents 2002 SLK Mercedes. For import vehicle maintenance he is a must in the area.

I had a great experience with Almost New Auto. Staff was honest and helpful. The car, an inherited Mercedes that I knew little to nothing about, had sat for a long time. But the maintenance and repairs they performed have it running and driving great! He went above and beyond by obtaining specific details of the vehicle so I could sell it. Almost New Auto will be the only place I take my car for work that I won't be doing myself. Rob was extremely friendly, explained in great detail what the issue was and fixed it in a timely manner. The email contact form was very efficient. I also appreciate the appointment options. I would recommend to anyone.

I was fortunate to have found Rob and Almost New Auto shortly after moving to the area. He has been excellent to work with and always treated me fairly and done great work. My 7 series BMW will be under his professional care as long as I own it. I would highly recommend Almost New Auto.

I have been blessed with three thing that every man needs. A wonderful wife, a Doctor who takes great care of me. Last but certainly not least a Mechanic who is knowledgeable, fair and trust worthy. People like this do not grow on trees. I have been a customer of Rob for years. If you need any work done on your car, you will not find anybody better. I have sent other members of my family to Rob and they feel the same way. You can rest easy knowing he will do what he says. In a small way Rob has made my life just a little bit easier. I took my 2003 VW Passat Wagon in because of some engine shuddering and misfiring. Rob didn't have an opening for an appointment, but took my car over the weekend anyway to run some diagnostics. He fixed a small part on the car and gave me some great advice as to what to do next as there were much bigger problems underlying this small fix. He was kind enough to not charge me for labor (only parts) and was very honest with me about the other issues. I will definitely be taking my cars here from now on. Honesty goes a long way and Rob knows what he's talking about and is responsive when you need him.

A good friend of ours recommended us to visit Rob at Almost New Auto in Winterville. Rob did a fantastic job repairing our son's 2008 VW Jetta with a radiator issue. His communication was stellar and pricing was completely fair. Provided an easy to use online payment option. We are glad our son now has a local Jetta maintenance resource while away at school in Greenville. Definitely give Rob a try, you will be happy. Thanks, Rob!!

If you're like me and are mostly ignorant to the inner workings of your vehicle, you probably have a difficult time trusting mechanics (I can locate the oil dipstick and windshield fluid). I inevitably feel like I'm being ripped off every time I have an automotive issue. That is until I found Rob. Rob is nothing short of amazing. I learn something every time I bring my car in. He takes the time to explain issues/problems in a way that is easily understood. He also services cars by appointment, so I know my vehicle is a priority when I drop it off. As a added bonus, Rob is hilarious. It is not uncommon for me to laugh so hard that my face hurts when I visit with him.

I wouldn't take my '03 BMW Z4 to any other service place. Rob is analytical, technical, friendly, professional, and well versed in diagnosing, communicating and executing appropriate service. There is no pressure sells or spitballing. He knows his stuff. You will not be disappointed. So glad I found Rob's shop.

I found myself in quite the predicament when my a belt suddenly breaks and my car gets overheated causing it to become non-drivable. Fortunately, I was not far from Almost New when this happened. Rob looked at my car immediately, and recognizing the severity of the situation squeezed my repair into his already full schedule. My car was fixed at a reasonable price within 3 hours! I was impressed by the flexibility, kindness, and willingness to accommodate my needs.

Integrity, honesty and knowledgeable. No need to say more. I wouldn't let anyone else work on my cars. I've even had one towed a long way rather than have someone else work on it. Rob is the best, and closely supervises those that work for him so that quality work is consistent. You won't make a mistake by going to Almost New Auto.

My 05 Tundra is my baby, but for the last 3 months, it has had a big problem with the exhaust. I searched high and low for a solution and finally decided to bring in the experts. I took it in today to see if Rob could help me brainstorm what might be wrong, and within 15 minutes Rob pinpointed the exact vacuum switch that was malfunctioning, provided a temporary solution and showed me exactly what I needed to do to permanently solve my problem.Being new to the area, I have been looking for a knowledgeable mechanic for me and my family, and I found one. Rob was very professional, extremely helpful and was able to explain in layman's terms exactly what was wrong.Rob, you are awesome. Thank you again for your help. This is the 2nd Porsche that Rob has restored to operations for me. I transported this Porsche from Cincinnati Ohio to be mechanically restored by Rob. He did an excellent job. Actually he did a superb job. This 1988 Porsche now runs like "new". I will use Rob and Almost New for all of my repair needs.

I highly recommend this shop. I called Robert and he took time out of his day to give me some mechanical advice which means a lot nowadays since everybody and anybody tend to refuse. Robert obviously knew what he was talking about and helped educate me on the possible causes of our misfiring cylinders even after a tune-up. Definitely coming here if I need quality work done.
