Love how efficient and detailed they were. We went in thinking we had to get a new transmission and any other place probably would have just charged us a new transmission plus the time but they were thankfully very honest and told us it was a few valves and leaks and saved us a ton of money! I highly recommend them and will definitely be back for any future services.

Took our truck here and wished we hadn't. First off the lady that communicates for the shop has trouble remembering the things she says, I would highly recommend recording every single word out of her mouth. Secondly the work that was performed had to be redone to some extent as once we did get the vehicle back it smoked and smelled like burning oil so we had to take it back for them to redo the gaskets because it was pinched and leaking on the exhaust. They ran something over during the test drive and the guy that did it told me "oh no that was already there" we had to get the owner involved to get our tire fixed at another shop. All in all my suggestion is to find another shop if it's anything other than oil changes. Don't forget record the lady in the office she forgets what she says and everything that's wrong was already wrong even if it was caused by the hacks there.

I am not one to leave reviews but I was beyond pleased with the treatment I received from Ms. Cindy and her staff! They are honest and very thorough. They were able to diagnose my problem and give me options which led to far better results. I am so happy I took my car to them. I feel like I am driving a new car! I definitely recommend going to AAMCO in Greenville you won t be disappointed!

I took my truck here on a recommendation as I didn't know anything about this place. I can sure say I've learned a lot about them over the last month. I took my truck in thinking I had a transmission problem to find out it was a timing issue. Cindy called the warranty company and got everything approved so they could do the repair. She called me and said everything was approved and I still had $200 left on my engine warranty. When the repair was completed I went to pick my truck up only to be told that I owed a balance of $489.00. how do I have a balance when there was $200.00 left on my warranty?? Who knows. So I paid the ridiculous balance and drive the truck off the lot only to find the job was done incorrectly. The truck smoked like crazy and was leaking oil onto the exhaust. I took it back to them complaining and was told it was like that just keep driving it and see if it gets better. Not to mention when I first picked the truck up they had ran something over during a test drive and flattened my rear tire. I was told the tire was like that until the owner got involved and called another shop to have it repaired. Now I'm stuck with a $400 tire that is patched on the inside. Along with the second repair they damaged my oil pressure sensor so now when driving the truck will all the sudden drop oil pressure and ding as if there is a problem. Needless to say I left out of ammco with more issues than I started with. I would never recommend these folks for anything not even a simple oil change because if they damaged something they won't take responsibility for it. Best advice I can give is find a better garage.

Cindy was so helpful when I brought in my 2017 Surburban that I had recently purchased I needed a transmission fluid change.She compassionately let me know that the transmission was bad.She walked me through what I had to do. Aamco got the parts to Winterville in record time and I was on the road in no time. Thanks to all for the excellent service we received

They are awesome. I replaced my transmission in my pathfinder at a reasonable time, and they take multiple extended warranties. Great company, and the customer service lady has a great personality and stays in contact while your vehicle is with them

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional team at AAMCO in Greenville, North Carolina. After recently moving from South Africa, we bought a Jeep from a dealership in Raleigh but began experiencing issues within a month of ownership. With limited technical knowledge, we turned to AAMCO for repairs.Cindy and her team at AAMCO went above and beyond to fix our vehicle, which was not an easy task given its overheating issue. When the problem persisted, the owner, George, stepped in and ensured that our Jeep was returned to us in top condition. I cannot praise the excellent service we received from everyone at AAMCO enough. It's rare to find a company that places customer needs first.I highly recommend anyone who faces vehicle issues to visit their local AAMCO repair center. You won't regret it. Because of an experience my husband had here with a transmission repair several years ago, I took my car in for what I thought was a transmission problem. As it turned out, I was wrong. After much checking, they sent me on my way with no bill at all. Their honesty was amazing, considering that I was willing to shell out about $3000 for a repair. Every one was courteous and extremely helpful. I would recommend them to anyone. Nice people, great service.

These guys did an awesome job diagnosing and repairing a transmission issue that I've taken to 2 other places with no luck. Absolutely amazed by how my vehicle rides now and would definitely recommend this shop to anybody! Dropped the vehicle of was told it would be a week to fix and cost $3500. None of this was a problem. A week goes by and I call to see about the vehicle and was told it would be an additional 2 days, frustrating but understandable. After 2 days called and was told it would be another 2 days (due to a wrong part ordered even though I was told the only item remaining was to test drive it) Not open on Saturday, so it would not be completed until the next week. Complete joke. The people seem nice enough but apparently only have one person working on vehicles.Update: requested an oil change at drop off and reminded them about the oil change on the phone during the second two day delay. Got the car back and no oil change. Absolutely unacceptable.Service: Transmission

I went here 2 months ago to get my transmission rebuilt and I'm just not satisfied. The secretary cindy really keeps this place professional otherwise..she did work with me on the price however I was told I would pay less than what was quoted when my car got there I ended up paying 3000. That was not the issue for me as I wanted my car fixed!! I paid the money in 3 weeks time less then expected and I was told to come get the car when I got there it was not ready. I still was courteous being that cindy told me they were short staffed so I took that in consideration. So when my car was finally ready I drove away the car was silent running smoothly in about 3 days there was a loud rattling and the engine was shaking!!! I panicked called back ahead told me to drop it back off they told me that I would need a tune up!! Heres my issue if yall did a 5 star diagnosis wouldnt that have came up then I thought they would inform of this so I couldve taken care of it they gave me a price I didnt think was reasonable for a tune up and I told them so. Went to pick up.the car I get there turn it over it didn't start parts were not assembled and unplugged and on top of it all It was raining and I was standing there clueless...cindy calmed me down told me apparently there was a miscommunication with the mechanic and I had to pay for another rental and be late for work that day!! My car has not ran properly ever since I got the tune up still hesitates when accelerating and the engine is loud as it wasnt before even with a faulty transmission!! The only pros of this place is the 3year warranty and ms cindy. Disappointed and I feel my money wasnt spent well for the service which being it's a pandemic and money is hard to come by I think they should treat their customers better!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I had an issue with this place and the previous ownership wanted to do nothing to help resolve the issue. After some time I had just moved on from it until i was contacted by George, who had recently taken over ownership of this establishment. George had seen my previous Google review and made it a priority to work with me to get my issue resolved. I would gladly do business with anywhere George Love is involved

This is crazy my husband just picked his Cadillac up it sounds 5 times worst than it did before we brought it. This is our second time there less than a month and spent about $900. I'm in tears because hard earned money just thrown away. I just can't believe they drove the car out and it sounds like that. Lord help us this is crazy. They will mess you're car up. It will be worst than before. All these negative reviews I can relate. I don't want nobody else to go through this. Please take you're car else where. Christmas is around the corner almost 900$ thrown away

Only trust them to work on transmissions. Had my front brake pads & rotors replaced on the auto store group dime. I heard a funny noise coming from the front brakes just repaired, went back explained to the manager what I heard, and he ups and walked away from me not giving a damn! Went to Barbour Hendrick Honda to get it check again and come to find out they put the wrong equipment on my car. You would think the manager who ordered the parts would have gotten that right at least! Brought my car back with paperwork from Barbour Hendrick Honda and made them put the correct parts on my car. One of the worst experiences yet! The mechanic apologized to me and corrected the problem but the manager said nothing, go figure. Guest he couldn't handle the truth.

I was told I could bring my truck in to get a line pressure test and a governor pressure test done. So I bring my truck in Monday morning waste my time and gas and late to work just for them to tell me they can't do these tests. I was very specific on telling the lady what I needed done over the phone and she said they could do it, even gave me a price. And now they can't provide that servic.your a trans shop this is what yall specialize in. How do you test transmissions if you can't proforma these two simple tests.and if your the lady i talked to on the phone doesn't know what she's talking about she should ask more questions rather then waste peoples time

Picked up our vehicle and there was severe body damage to it, there was some damage to the interior as well. Not to mention the contents of my center console and glovebox were thrown all inside of the car. Extremely dissatisfied As of today 11/17/2020 none of the damages that were done to my vehicle at this "place of business" have been repaired. After numerous calls and contacting the cooperate office the manager and owner are still not reaching out to us to discuss this matter. It's sad and disturbing that as a customer we are receiving this treatment.

I had my transmission replaced by AMMCO. They rebuilt it and had me back on the road within a couple days. I did go back several times for a rare underlying problem with the wheel bearing and sensor (not transmission related) and they worked diligently to get it fixed without unnecessary costs. Richie at the shop is an honest guy and has earned my respect. They are one of the few honest repair shops in Greenville and they care about you as a customer. I recommend this place.

Miss Cindy is first class she is very knowledgeable and the transmission sector and they have a first class transmission technician they have done all my transmission work and I'm very funny about who works on my vehicles I trust their transmission guy with anything I have I was very pleased I don't give five stars very often That's for sure I can only speak for the transmission side That guy has 40 plus years and he's definitely a pro not a Joe!!!

Helping a friend out. He had work done on his truck. Expensive cost for part's and labor .I wouldn't have used this shop. Better shop's available in the area.

AAMCO in Winterville, NC is the best!!I had a 03 Chevy Malibu in dire need of some work as the car had sat in driveway fro a long time. I needed the vehicle fixed for a trip to CA to give to my son in the Marine Corps. TRIPPS TIRE in Ayden told me it was the transmission and with other work would be $6-7000 to get it highway ready. It was not the transmission and AAMCO of Winterville did an awesome AND HONEST job getting the vehicle ready for the cross country trip. I drove to CA with no issues and my son is happy to have transportation to see something besides the barracks. Thank you sooooo much AAMCO for the time and effort to be HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY.
