We have used Valvoline three times before and have had high satisfactory service each visit. This last visit was below par. Upon arrival, not a single employee was visible, the one there was in the lobby sitting and still took 2/3 minute to walk out and greet us and ask how they could help. After communicating the service needed, we pulled into the service bay and still waiting 5-10 minutes before other employees arrived to assist the employee working. No one was rude, but the atmosphere and vibe was no one wanted to be at their job and work. Just very poor experience and upon arriving back home, the car is now leaking oil, which it has never leaked oil in the entire 7 years of my ownership. Will reconsider using VIOC next time.

For many years, across state lines, I've used Valvoline for my oil change service. The consistency of the service has always been very good. Unfortunately, this has changed in Wilmington, NC where they will do the absolute bare minimum even if you're the only customer there. Gone are the days of checking your lights, showing you the oil stick before and after the oil change, resetting your oil change light, showing you your air filter, and going over any other maintenance and services you may need. They pointed out one thing which I've known about for years, I appreciated that regardless, but nothing else and I know I need other things. They were not rude, but just not anywhere near the level of service I've become accustomed to at all the other Valvolines I've visited previously.

Just had our GMC Denali serviced by Manager Amy and her awesome crew. Synthetic Oil change, wipers and filters replaced. Lights checked. In and out in under 30 min. Thank you very much.

Very unprofessional staff and they lost my registration. They did not find it important to let me know about the registration either. Had they been up front with me, I wouldn't have been upset, but they handled the situation very poorly.

Ben is a true leader. He did such a good job and was very detailed. He takes his job seriously. Everyone was friendly. I came in 15 mins to closing and most other oil change shops turned me away in the past. They got me and 5 other cars out of there really quickly. They also say what they are checking and doing and will show you that the oil level is safe (I have had another shop put in too much) I will never go anywhere else for my peace of mind.

Great new business, I have used a similar company just down the road for 5 years, they were fine, but this time I decided to give Valvoline Instant Oil Change for a change. I was very pleased with a veteran owned company. I had a complete valve line ultra oil change, tires rotated, new wiper blades and cabin air filter. Took 30 minutes and cost $146. That's a good deal for my car. Only recommend idea would be to place a sticker with when service will be needed again. Very satisfied new customer. Mitch Klein

This was my first time going to this place, and I had a very good experience. I had actually called a different Valvoline on the other side of town before going to this one to ask about prices, and the guy answering my questions kept calling me darling, which as a young woman is a red flag to me that the place isn't reputable. But the guys at this location felt very sincere, they were very friendly, I can't remember the name of the guy who helped me but he was wearing a news cap with black finger nail polish, and he actually broke it down for me why my car is burning through oil and making knocking sounds. He also actually pulled out my air filter to show it to me, and never pressured me to add services I couldn't afford. He did however give me a list of recommended services for the future, listing the mileage you should have them done by, and what could go wrong with your car if not, plus prices. I feel more educated about my vehicle, and confident knowing I already know what I should plan to save for.Service: Oil change

Waited for over an hour to start our service(basic oil change) and the workers were loud and obnoxious. A "15 minute service guarante" ended up being nearly 30.

The people in mgmt at this location are dense. They argue with you about how much oil goes in the car. Then instead of charging by the qt, the price is a set 5 qt whether your car takes that or not. It s hard to get a straight answer out of them on how much the oil change is. My car, from the day it was new took 4.75 qts. They argued with me saying the book says 5.4 qts. The car has 351000 miles on it, and I m the original owner. I should know by now how much oil my car takes. It is a 1995 Mazda MPV, V6. They owed me for a $15 overcharge, from my previous visit. Said the tech that made that note on my receipt no longer works there. That doesn t matter, they still owe me $15 off my next oil change. Then on top of it all the attitude I received was ott, and I can give it as good as I get it having been a truck driver for 35 yrs. I know my stuff! And the icing on the cake, I m disabled, I can t hardly walk, and they were belligerent when it came to certain things I needed help with. I m going to have everything checked now, cuz there is always the chance of sabotage when you have to deal with people like that. I m sorry, but I have no patience for stupidity and condescending attitudes. Colin was the only employee that was respectful in attitude and service. I know it s hard to soar with eagles when you fly with turkeys, Colin. I feel for you. Kudos to Colin!

I received an Emissions inspection from this location and I wish that I would ve took my oil change at this location instead of Oleander. They know what they re doing but they have GREAT customer service here and that s what made the difference. Brandon and Sharmaine were great!

Went in today not sure what to expect, but a fella named HOLT was super professional and understanding, and went above and beyond to get me taken care of. He was easy to work with and gave me a good experience, and I'd honestly rather go here than the dealer. They take precautions to make sure things are done 100% correct. I change my own oil in my cars and trucks, but this is the only place I trust my wife to take her car, when I can't get to it. What the man makes is none of my business, but if I owned the business, I'd give him a raise.Service: Oil change

Won t be back was a regular customer with my fleet company vehicle. After being told they couldn t (or just lazy) rotate my tires after being here last week and having them rotated (bay 1!) on my personal vehicle but instead wanted to shooo me off to another location up the road . Which they failed to tell me they didn t open until 9. I am on my personal time trying to take care of my company vehicle. Great job at losing a return customer. Came for an oil change and was in and out in like 10 minutes. Holt was nice and professional chatted with me while my car was being serviced and recommended (did not PRESSURE ME) into getting other service. Most ppl will hound you until you cave in. I had a great experience here!

Needed to get a quick oil change. Went first thing in the morning and there was a small wait. I didn't mind because that meant that people like their service and are willing to get up early to get it to avoid possibly longer lines later. Service was quick and I was able to stay in my car. Will definitely be going back with our other cars.

Today was my first time using Valvoline and it won t be my last. The service was quick, efficient, and thorough. The gentlemen working there were also very polite and I appreciated that they didn t try to convince me that all these other things were needed. They definitely have my business from now on. It was also about 20 dollars cheaper than the other places I ve been.Service: Oil change

Came here at 7 and felt bad holding up Alquan and Mariah but they were super pleasant and patient.Had great conversations which pass the time since I have a Volkswagen which takes forever to change the oil.Definitely worth driving 30 minutes for great service.Service: Oil change

Casey and his whole Crew went above and beyond today. They worked quickly but carefully as a Team, were courteous, and respectful. They even drew my attention to a mechanical issue I didn t even realize was happening with the Jeep (and verified by another shop). Excellent job all around!

His name was Yeremiya Andrews.Besides being very polite and letting me know exactly what he was doing every step of the way he was funny. I want to have him for every oil change. The people working here will insult you with your windows down.I've been going to this location since I moved to Wilmington, thought the guys working the shop were great, I was oh so wrong. I came in about 1000-1300 miles early for an oil change, not feeling like I needed to explain myself I was happy to just pay for a service to be on my way. Apparently I should have. As they were checking over my vehicle the mechanics said to another "it's women like her that keep us in business" laughed with another co-worker. Excuse me you pathetic mechanics, not that I needed to explain myself but I was about to start a 3000+ mile road trip across the country, and believe it or not, I'm good at math. Just in case you're not, I'd love to educate you. The value of 3000+ is much much higher than 1000-1300 miles, but it's completely okay that you didn't know that, here to help with basic subtraction.It's of no shock to me they weren't educated, these men also claimed that Tesla is the only company with an all electric vehicle, clearly these men don't watch the news because right down the road from them in Raleigh a new plant is being built for an all electric line. In your defense you all didn't seem like people that would watch the news, just the kinda men that get their news on talk radio and Facebook click bait. So it really all makes so much sense to me. It's become very clear to me this location just simply has rude, uneducated, misogynistic men. What an absolute combination to have while running a business. Maybe me getting an oil change early gave you an extra $50 for the day buy BOYS don't be mistaken, listen up. It's small minded comments like that, that will put you out of it faster than that $50 can last.Service: Oil change

Yeremiya Andrews and his crew delivered exceptional work with exceedingly personable, friendly, and positive customer service. I would not normally review an oil change, but Yeremiya provided a warm and welcoming attitude that I am certain will carry him far. By far the best oil change and inspection I have gotten. They were quick, knew what they were talking about, didn't try to sell me things I didn't need! And it was super cost effective compared to other places!! 10/10!! Owner was awesome and Nick (he works on the nice cars) was super nice as well!
