I love this place even thats my umbias opinion. Staff is very friendly and informative. Price is great for the quality you get. Compared to the high end shops you can't tell the difference if placed side by side

They put a new top on my '05 Chrysler Crossfire. Fair prices and good work. Still looks good months later and no more leaks! I will be back for my leather seats fixed, THANK YOU

I brought my car there for a vinyl convertible top replacement. There team was very disorganized during the entire process and there lack of communication left much to be desired. I had to literally drive to there shop to get answers about progress and completion times. I would call and leave messages but rarely received a call back. Finally after months of wasted time and poor communication I received a call that my car was ready to go. Upon pickup I noticed that there was damage to the new parts installed due to improper installation. When I alerted the staff of these problems I was assured everything was done correctly. After a week or so of back and forth with the owner she decided she would discount the work and apologized for all the miss communication and errors in there work. So at the end of the day, my car still needed many adjustments and parts to complete the job correctly but aleast I was able to recoupe most of the funds to have this service done at a different shop. I would recommend using caution when trusting this shop with your projects. This is just my experience. Good luck and take care!

Absolute trash. I have tried twice to do business with them and they never gave a followup call to get the work done. IF the phone number works, they will not return your call. Go somewhere your business is appreciated

I ve debated for over a year whether or not I would write this review. I ve finally decided to say something, because I still see my wasted investment sitting in my garage. Last year, I invested in 4 midcentury modern chairs and I dropped the top portions off to your business to be upholstered by you and still do not have the tops of my chairs and now have 4 unusable chairs. When I brought the tops to you, I asked if you could accomplish recovering the chairs with the fabric I had in hand. You felt the fabric and said it was no trouble at all. I asked if you could recover the chair like it was originally done (which had no seams) throughout the arch of the back. You said no problem. Then after having my chairs for over 3 weeks you asked if I could acquire another yard of the fabric. I said I couldn t and asked why. You said it was because you were getting close to running out (which surprised me) because I gave you all of the fabric the day you confirmed you could complete the job, and I asked if you would need more fabric because I could of gotten more at the time. Fast forward to that call, you told me not to worry and you would make it work with the fabric I gave you. Two months after the initial drop of the chair tops, I received a call stating my chair tops were ready. When I picked them up I could see you did the exact thing I asked you not to do. You added 7 seams and didn t even line up the pattern of the print with the seams. After numerous and extremely polite phone calls to your staff, I never received a call back from you. I even told your lady you could take off the upholstery job you did as long as I received my chair tops back. If I do not get my chair tops back, I m going to finally file a civil suit to have the entire cost of my chairs reimbursed, because it is not right to treat people this way simply because you think you can. I ve been more than polite and kind, but you ve taken advantage.Service: Upholstery installation

I have had my car repaired at Upholstery 1 and my experience was wonderful! I was given several options for repairs and I was very happy with the quality of the work. I was offered a ride home on the day of my appointment and was offered a ride back to the shop when they were done. I also had a chair recovered months later and was thrilled with the work on that as well. Top notch customer service!

In the past I had a tear in my car seat repaired by Eve. She convinced me to let her fix the tear without replacing the entire seat cover. It cost me $25. So here we are 17 years later and I wanted to install leather seats in my Subaru Outback. I was thrilled to bring them business again. They knew what they were doing and did a great job. What more can I say. Excellent job! Thank you so much

Brought van in for a headliner, price about what I expected and work done was satisfactory. however I was told probably one day service, brought car in 9am Tuesday, that evening was told in would take until tomorrow. Next day they had power outage and couldn't finish until next day Thursday. Barely an apology.

Six months ago I had my top replaced on my Toyota Solara also on my front driver seat reupholsteredEileen called me and explained to me that she had to leave town unexpectedly due to an illness and her family if I would come in and let her review the work and see how she could make it rightAnd boy did she ever make it right she rebuilt the whole front seat from top to bottom at no cost to me . Going way beyond what I asked for in the first place . She refitted the top make it look better than new !!She told me this is how the job should always leave her shopShe did a great job and I'm glad I went back

I've been working with Elaine at Upholstery 1 Trim Shop for over 10 years now! She has always done fantastic work for me at a fair price! She has done thousands and thousands in boat cushions for me! She has recovered my dining room chairs, my master bedroom chairs, headboard, and bedskirt for my home. She is the best professional in Wilmington for upholstery and boat cushions! Thanks Elaine!

My wife showed up to have a headliner replaced. This was a rescheduled appointment as one of the techs had called in sick the week before. When my wife showed up (early by about 5 minutes), the employee that let her in shouted at her to close the door and was extremely rude to her. The employee curtly asked what she wanted and when my wife explained we had an appointment, the employee said "We did just have a hurricane" in a very deprecatory tone and told her that she'd have to leave and reschedule. They may no attempt to call us, despite the fact that the phones never stopped working during the storm. We don't mind rescheduling, but won't tolerate being shouted at and having people be rude for no reason. I've tried to call all day to talk with the owner, but no one will answer the phone. We will have the work done elsewhere.

I have been a customer of Upholstery One for years. I would not go anywhere else. A couple of years ago, I went in for new leather seats and carpet replacement. Upon removing the carpet, severely rusted floor pans were found. They helped me find a local shop to do the repair which wound up including a paint job. Months had passed but they were still able to put my car back together. When the paint shop was unable to source a piece of exterior trim, Elaine, the owner of Upholstery One, stepped in and found the rubber trim pieces. Just recently, I went back to have my convertible top replaced. This will be the third top on my baby and it is BETTER than the factory original. They have also re-upholstered several chairs for me and I could not be more pleased. Upholstery One rules, I would not go anywhere else and you should not either!

When you're the only one that does this type work in the city...I guess people think they can treat people any kind of way...Elaine hands down RUDE, unprofessional, and communication skills are POOR. After contacting her several times by phone and email (ONE YEAR LATER) the work was never done and she would not even speak with me face to face to explain why! I would not recommend anyone to this establishment!

A year ago they replaced my convertible top motor. They did that fine, but reversed the top switch which caused the side windows to go up as the top goes up, causing the left rear window to eventually crack. (Windows are supposed to be down as top goes up so the top doesn't hit the windows). I talked to the techs, the owner, and they each insisted everything worked fine. They tech even became argumentative. I even showed them the manual that shows how the top is supposed to function and it was now doing the exact opposite the manual shows. Essentially the owner told me there was nothing they could do. I would never return as they don't stand behind their work.

Had them redo fabric and fill on my 12 year old tundra drivers seat. They also fixed an annoying squeak from the same seat. Awesome. Highly recommended.

We love these guys and wouldn't go anywhere else! They are always really responsive to even our most outrageous requests and always have the work ready early or when promised. Wouldn't use anybody else.
