First time at MobileTech. My 2000 Jeep Cherokee had an alternator fail so I took it to MobileTech which was very close to my home. Had a great experience with this shop. They kept me informed of the issues and got the Jeep fixed quickly. Thank you for the great service.

From the start, the staff there was absolutely amazing. Both knowledgeable and personable; they really cared about my family and vehicle issue. Their diagnostics are extremely thorough, with photos and supportive notations, as well as a breakdown by urgency with estimates. Even though it is a business, I did not feel treated like a $ sign. I felt like they treated me as how they would want someone in their family treated. Fair, honest, friendly.i highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you all so much for your service & kindness!

Never have I wanted to write a one star review so much in my life, oh boy where do I begin?? Perhaps the beginning , I first went to this place about two years ago for an inspection. One can say it s my fault for not knowing I only needed a safety inspection due to the year of my vehicle (01 ). Still newish to the state I thought I had to wipe the service engine light and that s what the guy behind the counter said when I only mentioned the light was on. That was either incompetence or flat out robbery cause it cost me over a grand for a part that doesn t even effect driving (EVAP control canister) Turns out my system is faulty due to age as that same read will come up for the service light. Hence why a car over 20 years old doesn t need to remove said light only a safety inspection!Something didn t sit right with me after that so I tried other places nearby for a while so I can just walk home. As of right now I wish I stuck with that said place because they may use lesser parts but the prices are far lower and they honor warranties and work with you a bit like actual ppl. To my dismay I returned to MT for another inspection recently. The guy I dealt with the first time wasn t there and the dude on the right actually said for the age you don t need to get the light off. Think I popped in for oil change and some small jobs after that, in-between or before and ok no problems there.This is where it gets pretty incompetent, I recently passed a safety inspection on December 23 here and came back end of February for misfiring cylinders. They basically won t do what you ask them without charging you the ridiculous 150 dollar fee even if you know what spark plugs are out. I need my car to make $ and they probably know that and don t seem to care. Couldn t single out the problem so I had to pay 900 for all new spark plugs and wires plus ignition coil. It s like these ppl can t communicate they just wanna rip rip rip you off for whatever they can and it should ve been waived anyway(the fee). Told me something I already know there pal without singling out the problem and charging me maximum for said problem. They did tell me the loud noise in my engine was from a crack by my cat but tried to charge me close to 3k to get that fixed, it was a 150 $ weld! Also I mention a squeak that I thought was the water shield they did nothing to remedy that or bother to check the front and that leads to my next point that got me in a serious bind now.Not a month after that last visit my front starts to feel like a boat. Figured it was just the struts so I tried a new place all the way down market. They offer a free 15 min wrench free once over with driving and lifting. The mechanic calls me back and shows me my ball joints have no boots on them at all and are likely to pop off soon due to play in the knuckle, also my sway bar link has movement. Probably something a safety inspection only 2 months ago and a 150 $ diagnostic just a month before should ve spotted! So by this time my car stopped squeaking because the joints ground away so much. This all happened within my last visit with MT so it s likely most of this damage could ve been saved. My car was running great then all of a sudden not safe due to this mistake I could ve got into a very bad accident!When I confronted the robots behind the desk they took literally no accountability and didn t even apologize once it s like they were just programmed to try and rip me off again. They did offer to look at it no charge! (Yippe!) lucky me so I let them just to see how well they d work with me this time after I went over how they screwed me. Wanted to charge me 1400 to do the ball joints and sway bar and that was the favor price I wanted to flip out but just went grabbed my keys without saying much and left. The place I got my struts from this past week were 200 dollars cheaper and they are on the expensive side.I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NEVER RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS SHOP NO MATTER WHAT probably the worst auto experience in my life and I been T-Boned before!

Absolutely amazing experience. They were able to get me in quickly and even though dealing with insurance was difficult, they really made everything on their end run completely smoothly. Danny was so kind and accommodating, kept me in the loop the entire time. I will def be coming back anytime I need work on my car.

These guys were great and very knowledgeable .. My truck was having issues and they checked everything top to bottom. They tell you about everything they are doing and are more than thorough when diagnosing an issue. Couldn t be happier and definitely going to be my main mechanic from now on.Special thanks to Danny and the mechanic that I talked to but didn t get his name.10 star review

10+ years of exceptional service for all of my vehicles and myself. Explanation of repairs needed are explained in detail through the process with grade A products and warranty on repairs. Entire staff cares about your experience and goes above and beyond to make sure your vehicle is done right! A little tricky to find but once I did I realized how easy it is for me to get there, across the street from NH High school. Car repairs can be scary but I felt very well taken care of and not bamboozled into unnecessary repairs. I'll be back whenever my vehicle is in need. And because they did such a good job that shouldn't be anytime soon!! My car drives like she was new again!!!!Thank you everyone at the downtown mobile tech!!Both locations are excellent and have very helpful staff FYI.

Doug, Rena, Rob, Stephen & Conrad were outstanding in helping me to find that the problem I was expecting to be coming in for wasn t it at all! Turned out to be much minor! Very detailed and organized quote electronically sent to your phone! They are top notch service in town. Great and fast customer service everyone was super friendly. I just needed a battery changed on my key fob in and out in less than 5 minutes and it didn t cost me anything everyone I talked to was super nice. If I ever have any other issues with my car definitely would come here!!

I use Mobile Tech on Market Street for all of the maintenance and repair needs on my BMW. I have tried three other shops in the Wilmington area, but I am so grateful to have discovered this establishment. They are extremely knowledgeable, even over some dealerships, and are completely trustworthy. Issues are accurately identified and repaired, and the cost does not drain my savings account! I have also just discovered that they will complete extended warranty maintenance from dealerships not located in the Wilmington area. These guys were great professional and friendly they fixed the problem for me and I was able to drive all the way home feeling rest assured that my car was going to make it I put 425 miles on it so these guys did a great job on my mini Cooper thank you mobile tech it ran great and my air conditioner was brand new what a pleasure it was driving home lol Dan thank you Doug and the young lady that was there. Seamless online appt setup. Courtesy reminders of your appt was nice. Trina & Danny service writers were knowledgeable and very friendly. I wanted to inquire if there was a transmission update for my Lexus ( my baby).Danny says confidently he believes MobileTech downtown can help with the search & install of the update of to my car. They also included a overall checkup of my car with a very clear detail of what technicians found along with accompanying pictures for viewing the concerns. They send a complete estimate of repairs with options to select which you d like done.The manager even gave me a phone call to affirm the what work I came in for. I just can t tell you the burden Ive had for years with my baby s flaring transmission shifts all gone now due to MobileTech downtown Wilmington NC.Really very satisfied with all work and procedures of their operation. And may I add I m am a bit of a critic, for I m a car care nut who know a bit about cars but with a little patience, for they are busy, all in all, they did their best for meThanks Mobile Tech downtown! I had rodents chew wiring in the engine compartment. I talked my insurance company who encouraged me to take it to an insurance authorized body shop. The body shop told the insurance company that MobileTech is who does their electrical repairs. Communication was great, office is very organized. It is dealer quality service at a cheaper price. This is the best garage in the area by far. The team at MobileTech always does great work. We go to them for everything from routine work and extensive repairs. Every time, they clearly communicate to set our expectations and keep us updated on what work is needed, how long it will take, etc. They ve even come in under-budget on several repairs, all while providing service that goes far above and beyond most quality garages. Can t say enough about how great this team is!

While traveling to visit family, my car started to shift really hard in low gear. I tried a local dealer in Wilmington and a garage they recommended when they couldn't schedule me for a diagnosis. The garage couldn't see me till the next week but when I walked into Mobiltech, they were able to see my car the next morning. Keep in mind this was during the 4th of July week. I dropped my car off promptly at 8am and they gave it a thorough inspection and a clear explanation of what they found. The hard shifting was due to the transfer case, not the transmission. The car was using 4wd. We were able to continue our travels in 2wd safely and without issue. I appreciated the service and integrity of the staff. Daniel was extremely friendly and helpful.

Went in first thing in the morning for an inspection on the last day of the month. I completely expected a long wait, but I was in and out in an hour! The folks there were a lot of fun to chat with and very professional. Will definitely come back.
