Nate was a pleasure to work with. He helped me find the biggest all-terrain tires I could get on my Jeep without a lift. My new tires look mean! Love them. Thank you Hughes Bros!

I'm giving them one star because I can't give them negative Stars. I have bought tires from these people for over 20 years close to 30. All the good people have retired I can't believe they tried to sell over $1,000 worth of work to my father on his truck that didn't need it. Had it checked out by somebody said there was nothing wrong with it. I had others tell me they weren't any good anymore now that I've experienced it first hand I have to say sadly it's true. Beware it's become a den of Thieves

Even in the worst weeks of my life, God always manages to turn a negative situation into a miracle. I had an incident where my breaks went out and my rotors were too grooved beyond repair. It was estimated cost to fix of: $500 at an anonymous shop. Instead of accepting that offer, I took matters into my own hands and found quality products at an O'Reilly's Auto store for $150. I needed to replace the front two breaks/break pads, and front two rotors. After purchasing the materials, I seeked an auto shop that could install them. I shopped around at five different shops, and the most amazing miracle happened. I was told by a maintenance man at UNCW that this place was the best place to go. Being a UNCW employee, I was very appreciative. The guys at Hughes Brother's Tire & Auto were absolute blessings. An act of God. They gave me a very affordable quote (much lower than anywhere I have been) and provided the most absolute best customer service. So, instead of spending $500, I only spent a total of $250 (for absolutely everything). I am so gracious for God's amazing blessings and the guys at Hughes Brothers. This is an absolute miracle. If I could rate this wonderful company more than five stars, I truly would. 5/5 stars.- Seth Rollins

I've been using them for years, and I have never felt like they were trying to run up the bill, or exaggerate the problem. Trust them for all my repairs.

Been taking our vehicles here (College Rd.) since the early 2000s. Always reliable, reasonable, and professional.

Worst experience I ve ever had. Waited 4 hours for a tire rotate and plug. Nobody wanted to talk to me or let me know what the issue was. The old man looked in his 80 s and was clueless as to how to even work a computer. Go to Firestone down the road, so much easier, cheaper and better service.

First, I want to clarify that this review is for the College Rd location (not the one on Market). I brought my car in for a simple state emissions inspection. I was told by the woman at the front desk that it could take up to an hour. That seemed long but I agreed. An hour passed, then two hours, then THREE hours! Finally they told me that they finished. My check engine light was on and they asked me to return after driving 100 miles. I returned the following Saturday at 11:45 and was told, with considerable attitude by the same woman at the desk, that the emissions machine was already shut off because they close in 15 minutes. When I asked if she could check with the mechanic, she rudely rolled her eyes, turned her back to me, and took a phone call (ignoring me). The only reason that I'm even giving 2 stars is because, when I walked past this disrespectful woman and spoke with the mechanic, he agreed to turn the machine back on and was very helpful. The woman at the front could learn a thing or two from him about customer service!

While gone in deployment my car sat in storage for two years and was completely illegal and in bad shape. They guys at the shop got me fixed up and did some much needed repairs and TLC and she is back to running great and it did not cost a fortune! I highly recommend them and they will be my permanent shop!

I called and asked if they could do an oil change and they said yes, but I would need to get the vehicle to them by 4:00 p.m. as that was their cut off for same day service. I showed up at 3:15 p.m. and was then told that it wouldn't be done until the next day which is not acceptable because I don't have transportation. I pointed out that I was told that 4 p.m. was the cutoff and all he would say was that they would do their best. If 4:00 p.m. is your cutoff for same day then it's your cutoff for same day. Don't tell something one thing and then something else when they get there. It seemed like they were more interested in getting out by 5:00 p.m. than they were taking care of their customers. Not good service at all.

I bought a used car (2014 Town & Country). It needed work. After fixing the oil leak, the gas lines popped off. They fixed those and they popped off again. Nate went the extra mile, finding exactly why the issue was happening and found the part to fix it. I highly recommend Hughes Brothers. They listen, help you the best they can, and they know their stuff.

First time customer there. The people there are nice and quick service. Found the prices very agreeable. The only issue is the waiting are is old, nasty and needs updating. Take a little time clean it up put some new paint on the walls maybe a t.v. and the place will be great.

This place is awesome, had a nail in my tire they got me on a very busy Saturday morning and reset my tire light. Really great customer service that seems to be lacking at most places today.

Took a car to their shop, the worker stressed that my tie rods needed to be replaced ASAP and that I shouldn t drive my car unless it s fixed ($500 fix). Took my car to my typical reliable shop back home for second opinion. I have another year before the tie rods need to be replaced. Only problems found were: my rim is bent and I need a toe adjustment. Can t trust anyone anymore. Poor misleading techs

Excellent service from a highly knowledgeable staff.I have had an issue with the front suspension of my Jeep for a while that the other auto shops were not able to fix. It is an older Jeep that has been through a couple accidents so I had basically given up on getting the problem fixed. I took my Jeep here for a different repair and mentioned the problem in a general way and the mechanic was able to describe The problem in detail and told me the most likely cause. Both issues we fixed right away.I will definitely use these guys as my primary auto ship moving forward.

My husband's car was not running at all and we had no clue what was wrong with it. I called Hughes Brothers and they set me up to have the car towed to them and they had it fixed up and ready to come back home in about a day and a half (we work evenings so most of that was our fault) and it came out a lot cheaper than we anticipated. I highly recommend them

Nate and his crew will take care of all your tire needs. I just had a new set of Pirelli Scorpion tires on my wife s Mercedes G500 and she is stoked about it.

You can never fully judge a local business until you have a problem and you return to get things right. I recently had new tires put on my older BMW last week at the Hughes Tire (College Road) store. After a few days I noticed a shimmy in the steering wheel when running about 45-55MPH. I called Hughes and explained my situation. First let me say that older BMW wheels are notorious for getting the balance right as most use a more reliable clip wheel weight. Mine have the adhesive style, and in my experience, have been tough to balance accurately. So when I brought my car in to get the balance re-done there were no questions, no receipts and no extra charges to get things right. It's always nice to experience a service establishment stand behind their work.
