I think Cottmans Transmissions is a great place to get you car repaired with very helpful people who go above and beyond! Larry is always willing to help and is extremely nice and friendly! I would most definitely recommend this place for your transmission needs!

Our law enforcement agency had been having mechanical issues with our fleet. After several failed attempts at repairs, Cottman Transmission and total care was chosen to rectify our problems. To date, they have repaired two of our vehicles and will soon be repairing a third. Cottman s dedication to serving customers, attention to detail and their unwavering support of law enforcement is unmatched. Their certified techs take the time to properly diagnose, monitor and correct issues. They are honest and their knowledge of law enforcement vehicles is highly valuable as they are not built like your everyday run-of-the-mill type of transportation. Lastly their follow up is better than the dealership. They check in via phone call, text messages, e-mail. They have been amazing at communication which is something that we lacked prior. Cottman s, thank you for serving our needs. We look forward to a long lasting business relationship.

I had my 2019 Infinity transmission replaced with this company and they were very thorough and transparent about the cost and what my warranty would cover. Customer service was excellent and highly recommended them for your vehicle repairs and maintenance.

They fixed my vintage landcruiser transmission when other places were hesitant to do so. Cottmans did an amazing job in great time and for very reasonable price. Very very knowledgeable and stand-up crew of guys there also. Would recommend them to anyone.

These guys are incredible. They diagnosed my issue for free, they explained the issue, and let me decide if it was worth fixing or to let the car die. So much knowledge, kindness, and integrity here. I couldn t recommend this place more.

Amazing service!! I was having problems with my truck s transmission/torque converter, I spoke with the guys at Cottman and they told me to bring the truck in. Brought it to them Tuesday, they called and explained everything that needed to be done promptly and told me they could get it done this week. Fully rebuilt the trans and my truck was done by Friday!! They also replaced my rear main seal and only charged for the part itself no labor! Wow is all I can say. My first experience with Cottman Transmission was exceptional. I was having a few mysterious transmission concerns, or what I thought they were. I am grateful to my friend for the referral! I called in and explained my concerns, I was advised to drop my van off and it would be throughly looked over and I would be called with update. Just as promised, my van was checked out and to my relief, there were no issues with my transmission at all!! I was treated with respect and kindness. The professionalism of Cottomans is refreshing as well. I have received a couple follow up check-ins to make sure all is well with my van still. I 100% recommend Cottman Transmission.

Efficient and trustworthy! TWICE in the past few years I have brought in a vehicle with obvious problems and the warning light activated. Both times they performed a thorough inspection,, only to tell me there was no problem with the transmission. They even diagnosed what the problem is (a recall that only the dealer could repair) and wrote down the number so the dealer wouldn t need to look it up. I expected a charge for their time and the inspection, but they charged me NOTHING either time! A dishonest mechanic could have replaced the entire transmission! Took my vehicle back after it had been repaired for a glitch in the trans..told the guy I was having trouble with something totally different and separate from the trouble and asked some info on that particular situation and he told the mechanic what the unrelated problem was and they blamed that situation for the transmission problem..NEVER TELL A MECHANIC OR A BUSY BODY RECEPTIONIST ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT THE SYMPTOMS ARE !!!!!!

Fantastic customer service. Worked with Duke, who could not have been any nicer. Was extremely impressed with the honesty of this shop. We were referred thinking we needed a rebuilt transmission. They could easily have diagnosed as such, and charged us a few thousand dollars. Only needed flushing, and new fluid and filter. Answered prayer!Service: Transmission

Despite being slammed with repairs they got to my car quickly (which required a rebuild) and finished it in good time. They followed up and did some minor adjustments several months after. I purchased a vehicle through a local dealer and learned that Cottman Transmission had rebuilt the transmission prior to my purchase. I had my vehicle for 5 months and noticed something was not right. I took my vehicle to Cottman and learned that the there was a Warranty on the repairs. Ron and the team diagnosed the issue and completed repairs in a timely manner at no cost! "Took 2 weeks to repair transmission lines and radiator".I was called at the end of business 1wk later and said the care was ready and I could pick it up, also the keys would be under the mat. Picked up and drove Less than 5 miles away and car again lost all fluid and wouldn't move. Must not have been test drove, this issue could have caused an accident, the Car had to be towed back to shop, then it took another week to get it back. Very disappointed in the service that I received. Will not recommend to anyone.Service: Transmission repair

Excellent complete transmission rebuild. Their customer service was so friendly. And they want me to bring it back after 500 miles just to make sure there s no problems. And a 3 year guarantee. Cottman is THE place to take your vehicle for repairs. Originally told that our truck wouldn't be able to be looked at til after the new year but 2 days BEFORE Christmas our truck was fixed and good as new! Best service hands down.

Had both of my cars done there. Wonderful and Experienced staff that go above and beyond their job to make you happy with the quality work. They did great work, although I got about an our down the road after a complete haul of my transmission and my fluid line burst. I called them and they provided a free tow for the car to get back to Wilmington and repaired it in about a day. On top of that I called to see if I could get an oil change done while it was there the second time and they provided that service free of charge. Very professional in dealing with customers, and great customer service and facilitation when the problem occurred. The work was done under the great 2 year warranty they provide on any service done by them. Would recommend to anyone with problems in their transmission or car to get work done here.Service: Transmission
