Excellent shop with honest help! John took the time to investigate the root cause of my car s issue. Every time I take my car in I m treated well + my car is repaired promptly. Best independent repair shop in Wilmington!

Absolutely wonderful experience with these fine folks. I wasn t going to make it in time before closing while waiting for a tow, but Roger was so kind and assured me they would happily wait for me to arrive. This kindness really blew me away in such an otherwise stressful situation! Then they got me in and out in record time. The guys were very friendly and fun to talk to while waiting for the service as well. Skip the chain auto services and go straight to College Road Tire & Auto will 100% be back!Service: Tires

College Road Tire & Auto is FANTASTIC! My daughter was able to get her car in right away and they looked it over and couldn t find anything wrong with it (there had been an intermittent gas smell). Roger was so kind and understanding (I m guessing he s the owner) and kept the car overnight for my daughter and checked it again this morning. He waived the diagnostic fee for her and didn t charge her a thing.If you need an honest and helpful mechanic, I cannot recommend them enough. It s so refreshing to see that there are still amazing humans out there who will go above and beyond for a client.

Great customer service. Attention to detail is perfect and is very communicative. Prices on tires and other automotive work are some of the best in the area. Will definitely be coming here more often.

I was vacationing in the Wilmington area when I hit a road hazard that ruined two tires and bent both rims. I had my Jeep towed to College Road Tire and Auto, which I knew nothing about, except that they sold and serviced Michelin tires. This turned out to be a great decision. Here I met the manager, Roger Wilson, who didn t know me, but knew I was in a tough spot. He searched everywhere for two rims, but there were none immediately available in the area. It was determined that one of my rims was repairable, so Roger took it to another business to get it repaired and picked it up later. He used it to mount one new tire and he used my spare for the other tire and rim. He did all this while helping other customers too. All of this took place in about four hours at a reasonable cost! I am most appreciative for all that Roger and the guys at College Road Tire and Auto did to get me out of a jam and back on the road so quickly.Service: Tires

I've been here a couple of times though it's a good distance from home. Very friendly folks and reasonable pricing. Probably why the place is always busy. Definitely returning for future car care.

I went in for an oil change, and tires rotated. They were friendly. I got to sit outside and enjoy the day. It didn't seem like hardly any time passed before they were finished. Their prices were lower than where I had been getting work done. Highly recommend them.

I had my car towed here during the weekend after my alternator went out on me. They did it first thing Monday morning in under an hour wait. They fit me in and did everything in a timely manner. Everyone was so nice and respectful. Will definitely be going back!Service: BatteryService: Battery

Honest people who care. These guys were able to find a solution to my oil burning issue. They ve worked on all 5 of my car doing regular maintenance as well as repairs. I only get my tires from College Road Tire as well. I send my kids there and they treat them like family (in a good way :-) ). If you don t know who to trust, go no further. John is amazing and Roger is always upbeat. Both of them are experts and super polite. Thanks guys! You ve saved me thousands!

Service was fantastic and fast! Roger has the patience of a saint as my husband and I were working conflicting schedules and he actually took calls from us both and got us all straightened out. I had a great experience at College Rd Tire and Auto. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure my car was running smoothly. They are really friendly and welcoming. I made an appointment to have my brakes looked at and a friend had a flat the same day the appointment was- they were able to still keep the appointment although we were late putting the spare on. They replaced the tire within just a couple hours for a good price (50 dollars less than another place). Needed to come back in for another tire a few days later and they squeezed us in immediately to get it done that evening. Def recommend.

Man, this place rocks when it comes to customer service. We drove up from Jacksonville when our tire pressure warning light came on. I explained the problem to Roger and he got a technician right on it. Thanks John for the diagnosis. Now I see why they do such a great business. I passed along your business card to my son who lives in Wilmington.

Updating this because these guys are actually the sweetest. My driver s side window hasn t worked since 2018, just never got around to getting it fixed. I randomly hit the button every now and then and after getting my car back from this shop for something completely different THEY FIXED IT!! I looked at my receipt and there wasn t any mention of it and they never said a word about it. Made my day :)The absolute nicest people you ll ever interact with at a car shop. They re especially nice to women and don t make you feel like you re being taken advantage of (which is a problem that so many women run into). They take your concerns seriously and are transparent about pricing, time, etc and will always find a way to work with you even with a busy schedule. They also don t shame you for putting off stuff that needed to be worked on (im guilty of this). 10000% recommend!Service: Brakes

A friend of mine recommended I go to this shop. I was quoted a price and apparently the mechanic mistakenly left something off the quote (to the tune of about $300) John told me that since it was the shop's error, I would not have to pay for it. Even though I offered to. I was pleasantly surprised! Not every business will offer that level of integrity.The staff were pleasant and my Explorer drives better than ever. Over torqued and cross threaded my lug nuts when they put new tires on... Which caused me to be stranded and miss work when we couldn't get the tire off to replace it in an emergency. Ended up having to have it towed home and have the entire wheel stud drilled out and replaced. Pic shows just how seized the nut was! We destroyed it trying to get it off, wouldn't budge! Mind you, this should have been just a simple task to remove and replace a tire... But no, now I'm more than $300 into it with lost wages and everything and my bosses are PISSED at me. I will never understand why mechanics don't hand tighten lug nuts, people don't have impact wrenches on the side of the highway when they get a flat tire! Common freakin sense, jeez.

We used to go to College Road & Tire.I called the day before and spoke to Butch about what I needed done. I received a quote and also asked if they accepted CarCare as payment as many places do and the carcare site isn t always updated. I got my whole family up early, drove in early morning traffic across town for John to tell me that they didn t accept CarCare as payment. THANKS FOR WASTING MY WHOLE FAMILIES TIME!!! We will no longer recommend or go to College Road & Tire. We chose this place because Roger (manager) seemed to be really honest, friendly, & knowledgeable. All Roger could say was sorry. When you waste someone s time you are telling them that they aren t important.

Roger and his crew ALWAYS take such good care of me! When the alternator died on my Hyundai Santa Fe after JUST being replaced, they took a look at the piece and discovered it wasn t the right model for my car. In the midst of a busy schedule, they were able to promptly order the correct part and replace it effectively. They also only charged me for the difference in the price of the part. Now, my car s purring like a kitten once again! Thank you!
