I had the alternator go out on my sawmill mid job with customers waiting. Looked all around town and nobody had a replacement. Drove over an hour to Alternator Specialist and they had my alternator back in operation in under 30 minutes. They had absolutely amazing service and were awesome to work with. They absolutely saved me and kept my business going. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Don't know when I'll need alternator work again, but if I do, I am only going to them. Great works guys! I'm telling everyone I know. It's almost impossible to find shops that work they way they do.

The people here are so nice and helpful, I knew I was in good hands! I thought I had to get a new alternator but it turns out I just needed to replace my car battery. After a "new" starter died twice a day after buying it from a name brand auto parts store, a friend suggested strongly i get a new starter from Alternator SpecialistsGot a starter that was less than 1/2 the weight of the stock starter and after installing ran perfectly. At this point i have decided i wont deal with the "new" remanufactured or other starters from a name brand auto parts store again!!Alternator Specialists was fair, friendly, quick, and knowledgable. It was my last stop, but don't let that happen to you. Make these guys your FIRST STOP. I've a super rare application and they had me up and going in less than an hour.Very professional super knowledgeable, and perhaps the very best East of the Mississippi!You won't be disapointed, I wasn't!

My battery light came on in my SUV suggesting some alternator issues, and had a great experience here. They ran some tests and gave me a couple of options, but ultimately I opted for replacing the alternator. They had an OEM replacement at a very reasonable price, got the job done in a timely manner, and were very thorough (the new alternator had some hiccups with the voltage regulator, so they worked through the problem until it was resolved).This is a shop where they service a lot of electrical components for cars, trucks, and other vehicles, so I would definitely recommend coming to them if you have any sort of automotive electrical issue that needs expertise to fix!Service: Electrical

I Searched every parts store in town for an alternator for my truck and no one had it. Until I called Alternator specialist. They had what I needed and held it until I could get there. The staff were all friendly. I would highly recommend this place

Bought a starter for daughters car on line. Arrived in timely manner but noticed the assembly was 180 degrees off. Weird. Checked order and it was correct. Took it in to Alternator Specialist to find out if the housing could be swapped with the original unit. The team there did it in a short amount of time. Tested the unit and I was on my way for a small fee. Excellent customer service that saved my day. Car is back on the road. I travel the extra mile for business like this.

Great people and amazing service, I thought I had a bad coil ended up just having a bad battery. Steve really knows his stuff and saved me a ton of time and money. Would highly recommend.

I've worked in the diesel/automotive industry since 1993. I've only lived in Wilmington 2 years but every time I've needed anything dealing with DC voltage these guys have always managed to help me out. They've also been very friendly in the process. Definitely recommend.

I had pre existing alternator issues. Had a load to pick up in the area but I needed to get my situation fix asap due to loss in voltage power. I called alternator specialist and they got me right in and out. They did an outstanding service and I am extremely pleased.

Have always gotten good service here in the past. Not so much this last time. Really doesn't deserve a full star. Dropped off two starters on a Tues, was told brushes looked good in one, they'd check both and call me back next day. After never getting a phone call and being busy I finally call them back on on Friday. Very short answer from the guy on the other end of the line once they found them. "They're no good." Well, I knew that, that's why I took them there.....smh. No further explanation, no reason they never had the decency to call a customer back or anything. I'm a communication person, so big pet peave here. I don't even know what day they were supposedly tested since they never bothered to call. One of the starters was only two years old. Meanwhile my truck is still sitting blocking my driveway while I was waiting on them so I could make a decision and now I still don't have a starter. Picked them up so I'd have part numbers off one, the case of the starter for my truck was still in pieces in the box. They never bolted it back together. How do you test something that's in pieces when you looked at it when I dropped it off and said a lot if it still looked good?? I know what bench testing looks like....it's has to be in one piece. Whatever. Never again, will just buy new next time and not even mess with these guys wasting my time and I will definitely pass along to all my friends in the automotive industry as well.

So thankful for these folks! We came down from the mountains and our alternator decided to quite on our first morning here. I was in a panic and the woman that answered the phone was so kind! It was like being back home with how awesome everyone was. They recommended Kirby towing and we were towed, fixed up and ready to go by 4! They didn't charge us our first born either as we expected but were reasonably priced for our alternator repair. Someone was looking out for us to be able to even find these great people! Thank you y'all! You saved us and our vacation!

Thankfully, this was my first stop when I found out my alternator was draining my battery. By taking the time to examine the part, instead of simply replacing it, they ended up saving me the $300 I would've spent at a regular mechanic. A very welcoming, HONEST family run business. I'd like to thank Stevie Sr, Jim and the rest of the staff.P.S. Thanks for the french fries.

Alternator Specialists are the best in the industry. They take the time to answer any questions you may have e and also have a huge on hand inventory for most of your needs. Also can rebuild and test yours. And the also sell starters. Thanks again guys for always helping me out

Alternator went out on company s 2015 Ram 3500. Called at 2:45pm. Stevie came out to me, replaced alternator and I m back on the road at 4:00pm!!! Great people, great prices, and even better service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
