I spotted a nail in my tire after driving 600 miles with 900 more to go the next day. I pulled into the shop at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon and not only did they replace my tire no problem at all they even found a tire with similar tread to my set for $50 and I was out of there with a safe vehicle by 5:15! I made it the 900 remaining miles the following day no problem at all. They really saved the trip for me. Can't recommend these wonderful people enough!

Had a blown tire on my big rig trailer. Talked to them on the phn to make sure I could get a truck in there. They were super friendly. Got the tire off no problem and the lady in the front was really nice. They helped me out big time today

Stopped here when traveling from out of state. They didn't have what we needed, but they were SO helpful in locating another shop that did. They illustrated the value and benefit in colleagues working together, even when there isn't money in it for each store. We can never thank them enough for helping to get us safely back on our way home. Thank you!!!

I love it here I wouldn t rather go anywhere in the county but here. Staff is always so friendly and speak to Gracie while you are there. What s a hard days work without a little bit of fun

We needed a quick check of our vehicle while on a 4 hour trip. Wilkes Tire and Auto manager worked us in quickly even though they were extremely busy. The check of our vehicle was thorough and the price was very reasonable for what was done. I will use this business when I have a need.

Called here after getting a flat tire, they had my tires ready for me when I got there I was shocked. I had to be a little cheap and only get 2 tires this week and they didn t make me feel guilty or try to force the other two on me. They did recommend it and sounded more of care versus the sale aspect. I will be back for the other two and again when it s time for my other vehicles! They were quick to answer, locate and get my tires.. and I do not think I was there an hour. Awesome service! Thank you!

Wilkes Tire & Auto love this place. the folks there are genuine, friend and honest, down to earth and they know their business. They always give me A1 service. They are always smiling and friendly and I appreciate that. They sure do have competitive prices. This is a place my trust in given quality service for my vehicle all of the time, without the tycoon attitude.

Wilkes Tire and Auto did me a great deal on tires. They rotate tires for free if you purchase from them and are very reasonable on oil changes. They are professional and work quickly.

Fast and super friendly service. Very knowledgeable staff. Fair prices and a good supply of parts and tires. Quick turnaround with service and ordering parts. A comfortable waiting area with beverages and television. I am very happy with the service I received. I am thankful for the DOT employee that recommended this small and local garage when I had a flat tire.

Excellent customer service for an unscheduled tire repair (walk in). Very reasonable price for removing tire from rim to patch cut. Great hospitality and did the job right the first time.

This place will waste your time, and not be considerate at all. After buying some very costly tires, they implied that they had the tires and didn't. The vehicle was already on the lift and the tires were off of the vehicle. Also, they stated that they had the tires, and didn't have them at all. I had 1 tire going flat literally waited all day to get the tires, for me to get in the vehicle for the tire sensor to show an error on each tire. Each tire showed a different amount of air. After 5 hours, they implied that it would be another 30 minutes. I left 3 hours later. The female at the front desk was the rudest and most insensitive person of the experience. She acted like it was a problem that I went back inside to tell her that the tire sensor was on.

I took a car here to get it checked out before I purchased it, and one of the mechanics here found two issues, explained what they were and how much they d cost, and if they d be necessary. It was very helpful and they were pretty polite, especially considering how busy they were. Overall a good experience.

Wilkes Tire and Auto are great. I had another appointment today and was making a appointment for next week when they took me to appointment and picked me up granted it was not far away but they are great with customer service and car was ready when I got back. Thanks again for a stress free day.

It can be hard and frustrating to find good mechanics. Harder still to find a shop with owners who care. I'm fortunate to have found one. What a great bunch! Here's a bit of icing...Gracie is a darling that adds to the atmosphere. She doesn't work on cars, though.

Wonderful folks who went out of their way to help us. I needed help installing a new radiator. Even though it was after hours, Luke came back to the shop to help me out. These guys saved my life! A woman typically feels awkward when having to do car maintenance. Well these guys made me feel of comfort while installing a pair of much needed rear brake pads for me. This visit built up my confidence for future car maintenance trips!

Two Saturdays ago, my wife, myself and our dog were stranded on the side of the road. We remember vividly watching smoke billow up into the sky from our old Jeep, just an hour from where we planned to camp for the weekend. It was cinematic. Being a Saturday in pandemic times, we thought the majority of shops would be closed, which they were, except Wilkes Tire & Auto. When I called they were 20 minutes from closing, but the gentleman said he would remain open to take a look at our vehicle. When the tow truck found us and finally lowered our Jeep in front of the shop, it was already 30 minutes into closure. Nevertheless, two gentlemen stepped out, greeted us kindly and pulled the Jeep into the garage. After a few minutes, two women invited us inside to have some water. We made light of the situation, our dog sniffed everything and wagged her tail like an Airspeed Courier.In a short while, the gentlemen had diagnosed the problem. It was concluded that the transmission fluid had been overfilled by a previous mechanic and when pressurized burned up on the motor in great plumes. When I attempted to pay, the gentleman refused. He said, We didn t do anything, there s no need to pay. In some sense this was true. There were no parts replaced or oil changed (they did clean off the motor), but in another sense, this was simply not true. Because of Wilkes Tire & Auto, we had invaluable peace of mind ( and no more vehicle issues). By trusting their diagnosis and benefiting from their honesty honesty a word I ll admit seems rarer and rarer in my mechanical experiences we were able to resume our plans and have an incredible weekend outdoors.I can mention 100 more positive things about Wilkes Tire & Auto that occurred, but it might be more useful to say this: For those who are on the road now, who may be stranded or concerned with the state of their vehicles: Go here. They are honest. They do excellent work.We drive to the mountains often. I ll be detouring here for oil changes or any automotive issues that may arise.

While on vacation in North Carolina, I stumbled into some unexpected car issues that needed fixing immediately considering I had a 12-hour drive back to Florida in two days. They found two problems with my car, one of them taking much longer than expected. Unfortunately, they had many big projects ahead of my vehicle so they did me the favor of calling another tire place (Friendly Tire) and seeing if they could squeeze me in. They had the time, but not the parts that my car required. Wilkes Tire & Auto were kind enough to send the part to them, as well as providing a tow over to the other shop, allowing to get my car fixed in time to go back home. Not only was their work done well, but their customer service was phenomenal. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Extremely helpful. They are very calming and unlike a lot of mechanics I've encountered they don't jerk a lady around so to speak. The manager there is fantastic
