An updated review.... We changed our rating from 1 star to 5 stars because McNeill Chevrolet really stepped up and made everything right!! We really appreciate how quickly they resolved our issue. Thank you McNeill for doing the right thing! We would purchase a vehicle from them in the future!We purchased a used 2020 BMW X7 a couple of months ago from this dealership. We were very impressed with the salesman, managers and owner at the time of purchase. They put new tires on the car and did some service to it as well. We were told that the brakes were replaced as well. Unfortunately we are finding out the very hard way that we were mislead. We kept getting notices that the brakes needed to be replaced but our salesman assured us they were replaced. He said they didn't reset the computer. Our brakes started squeaking and there was a lot of brake dust. We took it to BMW today and learned that the vehicle needs new brakes, rotors and brake sensors for a total of $3K!! My husband called McNeill today and spoke to several people and found out the brakes were not replaced. The manager told my husband the salesman should have never told us that. It's our problem because he's not paying for brakes on this car they sold us! We have proof of what the salesman told us because it's all through text. What an absolute slap in the face! The salesman stopped responding to calls and texts from my husband. Clearly he knew what he/they did was wrong!! Stand behind what you tell your customers! Dishonesty will only get you so far!! I would advise steering clear of McNeill Chevrolet!!

McNeill Chevrolet was hands down the best car buying experience we have ever had. The salesman, Chad was quick to assist and answer any questions I had. Within hours I was able to purchase a new truck will little to no stress during the process. Chad arranged for our new truck to be delivered 2.5 hours away the same day of purchase. My husband and I both communicated with the Sales Manager, Ben back and forth due to some unforeseen questions and concerns. Ben was prompt and always so kind, and professional. He accommodated every request to ensure my husband was happy with his new truck. The Finance manager was quick to handle the initial paperwork in order to ensure a smooth buying process. In addition, the delivery driver who delivered the truck was so pleasant. We will be sure to refer family and friends to this dealership. All of the McNeil staff we dealt with provided the utmost respect, and excellent customer service. I can tell this dealership takes pride in their work and truly appreciates their customers. Thank you for all of your hard work. It is beyond appreciated.

We were greeted in a very friendly manner and treated like we mattered. When the salesman had someone show up for a scheduled appointment early, he made sure we were taken care of. Both gentlemen were very professional and helpful. They weren't pushy to make a sale, but they also didn't act like they could care less. After making the deal, the 1st salesman returned to help me get started with OnStar as well as show me tips and tricks for the technology package. 5 stars for the whole process and all who helped us out!

Just purchased my second vehicle from McNeil and as expected, they crushed it on all levels! I just went to "look" lol and I rode on out of the dealership smiling! Randy was great and the financial manager was on top of his game! This place really cares about your wants and needs. They do not hassle, they are upfront, honest and compassionate. They represent themselves and their dealership to the highest! Great group of people! They have earned our lifetime business! They go above and beyond each time! I am happiest I have been in a vehicle and I have them to thank!

McNeil Chevrolet had what we needed, but what we really appreciated was that the final purchase price, including dealer add ons, were clearly displayed on the website and communicated to us before we went over there, so there were no surprises when we got there. There were no sales gimmicks, just straightforward info and pricing. Chance was our sales guy and he made sure to answer all of our questions as thoroughly and honestly as he could. Ben helped us get the best price possible. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience.

Fred was great. He got me into a car within 3 days. It's was amazing & a shock 2 me that I would even get approved but I did. 2018 kia forte & payments are low. Checked with Hyundai in High Point about a car in the price range of the trax. The salesman said they have a 2RS Trax coming in and I will see if they will send it here. He asked and they said they would send it there as soon as the car arrived and passed their inspection. Chevy of Wilkesboro dragged their feet around on sending it like they had agreed to do, the sale was a done deal I had already pulled the money at the time to buy the car when it arrived to the Hyundai dealership (both are under the same franchise and are sister dealerships). The day it was supposed to show up they refused to send it because someone booked a appointment for it at the chevy dealership after they had already agreed to send it. They then sold the trax to that person. Chevy of Wilkesboro does not conduct business very well at all and will agree to things that they will not hold up on their end. Very poor business management and service.

I was very pleased with every interaction with the team at McNeill Chevrolet. Bill Lyons, Sales Consultant, was a delight to work with. Ben the Sales Manager and Anthony the Business Manager were both professional and efficient. Even met the owner, Mr. David McNeill, and he was very welcoming and appreciative of my business. I cannot recommend this dealership any more highly.

I would have given you a higher rating but....the brake pad indicator wasn't reset so now I have doubts if the rotors were turned or if new pads were actually installed? It's odd because I requested my truck to be serviced and the brakes checked so the oil life indicator was reset but not the brake pad indicator. So you can see my doubt.

Chris and the service department did a fabulous job fixing my car! Previously, I took it to a supposedly reputable mechanic shop. Not only did the other mechanic shop not fix the problem but they didn t even diagnosis the problem correctly. I decided to take it to the dealership and I m so glad I did! My vehicle runs like new! He sent a text to keep me updated on the progress. Later, Terri followed up to make sure I was happy with my vehicle. Great service and great results!! Thank you so very much. I ll be back the next time I need a repair.

My wife and I recently moved to the Hickory area from Denver Colorado and we were looking for a new truck we drove to several dealerships as far south as Charlotte and this dealership definitely stood out as far as customer service. We were doing a repurchase through General Motors.. without going into too much detail BuyBacks are complicated and can be a headache for all parties.. Ben Mockerman in sales was VERY helpful and was able to answer ALL of our questions quickly whereas other dealerships didn't know the answer or said they would get back to us and never did.. There was also excellent communication between back of the house and front of the house some dealerships that we've been to don't work together it's more of an Front of the house (Sales) versus them (Service) mentality not at Empire .......Nelson Greer the service manager personally handled our case from start to finish. And Fred Lemasters the general manager took my vehicle back to the prep area to have the Empire decal redone exactly how I wanted it... He did not have to do that the first dealership we bought from in Colorado just told me how to use a heat gun and do it myself.... I am a very detail orientated person and like things to be exactly the way I want them and he was patient and made every attempt to make sure that we were happy. I would definitely recommend driving the extra distance to this dealership before making your final purchase decision.

I would also like to thank Ben Mockerman and the financial manager as well! They all went above and beyond to help us get our Suburban..

Dropped off my 2012 Buick Regal GS for a Diag related to issues going into gear (manual transmission). I described the problem and how it began, Sarah my advisor got back to me on the Diag, and simply said "you need a transmission". Okay cool, so first off, how did you come to that conclusion, I paid for a Diag so I would expect for them to tell me whats leading them to an internal transmission related issue. However, all they did was "hook it up to the machine" and did not tell me what codes were even being thrown, when I asked her to please give me more details she got frustrated and got who I suspect to be the service manager to talk to me. He basically said the same thing, I really shelled out $166 for them to plug it into the machine and feed me an answer. I took the car to get a second opinion, and within about 10 mins we figured out the normal linkage is just worn out, a $60 part. Car is now fixed, no thanks to the "brilliant service" provided by Sarah and her team. Truly a pitiful experience. I also asked to be quoted for a new Key FOB and find out the reason for the traction control light to be on, however they never got back to me on those quotes despite me reminding them. I do love how this great staff is able to quote a transmission when really no Diag has even been performed. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

I never post reviews negative or positive.My wife and I have purchased a lot of cars over the years, mostly new cars from the same dealer and salesman. I recently purchased a used truck from Mcneill Chevrolet of Wilkesboro, my salesman from another dealership retired. We were shopping around mostly just to look but happened to find just the truck we were looking for. Long story short they gave me what I wanted for my truck (trade) and deal is done.A couple days passed and I noticed an issue. I called the dealership and spoke with Ben the sales manager and I have to say the customer service I received was exceptional! I brought the truck in the same day, the issue was quickly and throughly addressed. I could not be happier, period. Knowing that I purchased the truck in as-is condition and still going the extra mile post sale speaks volumes. Kudos Ben! I hope you get at least a pat on the back. Will buy again.

Best car buying experience I have ever had. I was dreading going to the dealership, but was very satisfied with my visit and purchase. Brian was wonderful, helpful and not pushy whatsoever. Every other person who helped was also so pleasant to deal with. Test drove multiple vehicles and was still and out with my new car in less than a few hours.

Wonderful, EASY experience buying a new suburban for our family. We found the model we liked online, and it was shipped fast to the dealership for us to check out. We were able to add the finishes we were looking for to build the SUV we needed to suit our growing family s needs. A wonderful, accommodating team at the entire dealership.
