We ordered a part for our John Deer ,so we were told by James River Equals. that they would call us as soon as the part was in. So we waited over a week, I gave them a call a week later and they informed me that we never placed the order. So we needed another part for the John deer, so I called BK. To place another order and when I did I was informed that since I hadn't came after first order, that I would have to drive from Patterson NC to Northwilksboro to pay for it b4 they ordered it. My point is they never called the first time nor either time. Very shotty customer service.

Great place to buy Stihl products for a good price. The staff are always friendly and willing to help you find whatever you need. They always have a good stock of parts and accessories and if it has to be ordered it comes in very fast.

I am grateful I spent the many months researching mowers,pricing & service with every company selling mower s from Lowe s to local equipment companies, within a 200 mile radius,as it lead me to James River Equipment.I had been disenchanted (understatement), finding other businesses proving their only goal was the quick sale. No customer service, no honest answers to questions,no assistance in the process, no real knowledgeable people & no loyalty after purchase was evident, as well as experiencing sheer laziness & disinterest in anything other than customer satisfaction & basic facts about equipment.As a big skeptic of buying sight unseen, I regained faith in companies after my experience with JRE. The salesman,Matt answered my questions over the course of 2 weeks, promptly & honestly,making the extra effort by taking photos of the equipment & looking up the weight of blowers,trimmers, & chainsaws.He helped me find the right Greenworks riding mower that would fit me physically, with my mobility issues, as well as getting the job done on several awkwardly shaped acres I have to maintain in the mountains. I finally found a company with integrity, customer focus, professionalism,dedication to making sure you get what you want & need the first time, who follows through the entire process with the same energy & dedication from the first inquiry to delivery & beyond.The delivery was on time, even after navigation of a very difficult route to my house. He was very professional & spent all of the time I needed, explaining all of the equipment & double checking the large order.All of the equipment I purchased from my riding mower to the chainsaw has been perfectly matched for me, and I have found a new hobby I never thought I would enjoy.. I m only sorry the grass season isn t 12 months a year.Thank you to James River, Matt, & your delivery guy for making this experience smooth, pain free, and even fun.

Special shout out to Allen and Andrew, needed a tiller for my tractor, a few days later I get the call to come pick it up and they were ready to do the paperwork and load it for me, super nice and informative with any question I had, highly recommend

I never even stepped foot in the dealer. I love my John Deere at least half as much as I love my kids and more than two of my dogs.Thanks Matt Holland

Disappointed and feel they don't appreciate the enormous profit they have received as a result of my patents while engineer at Deere & Co. Also no military veteran or senior discount. I brought farm neighbor that bought tractor same time I did. They won't give a small 10% discount on $50 oil and filter purchase. For $5 they made a good customer unhappy. Bad business!!!!.

Should be 4.5Repairs and adjustments to my baler were fine for a couple hundred bales. One knotter began dropping knots, and degenerated to not tieing at all. A couple phone calls to the shop and they got me going again. Old balers are difficult to keep going.The parts department is excellent. They re very good at getting what you need quickly and accurately. They call you when your parts arrive.

Took delivery of my new John DeereX 758. What a tractor. Sales was perfect with Matt. The dealer assembled all the accessories and delivered it to me at my off grid home. The guy delivering went over everything on the tractor. If you are remotely interested in a John Deere these are the folks to go to. JD is priced above others but is an extremely high quality product and will last years if maintained properly.

I m leaving a 2 star rating because of my horrible experience with James river equipment in wilkesboro, NCI ve been wanting this particular used mower which is a John Deere Z960A with the hydraulic lift deck 60 cut mulch on demand deck1.)When arriving I noticed some things missing nothing too major but what got me is they sold me a mower with a completely flat tire that someone had attempted to plug the side wall in and out tire sealant in to get by and it didn t work. and they wouldn t even throw in a tire or knock off some money with the deal. I had to buy a new tire from them in order for me to even use it the day I got it.2.) the deck would only come up to 3.5 and also wouldn t lock into transport position. I tore it down to look into it more and the piece that holds it into transport position is bent upward causing it not to hold in place plus not let the bell housing to turn past 3.5 . So there goes more money out of my own pocket to fix this issue.3.) the lack of communication has been terrible and it took them two weeks in order for me to buy it and take it home because they rented it out to someone and had to find them another mower to replace it with before I could even come get it.If it wasn t for wanting that particular mower I would ve just kept my money and went back home.

Have a X580 John Deere tractor and has only 111 hrs and around 3 years old. Also kept inside looks like new.Warranty is 4 years 500 hrs. My seat crack and I called them and they said no way the warranty cover it. Beware stay away. Went to another dealer and they warranty it and they had a new one in stock.

It depends on where you go. The Wilkesboro and Pfafftown locations, though 3 and 4 times the distance and minutes from me, offer stellar service, have an excellent parts department, always answer the phone in a timely manner and provide the best customer service I've ever seen from any John Deere dealership. The Mount Airy location, on the other hand is one of the worst tractor supply businesses I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. There is never enough people working the parts department, it takes sometimes several phone calls before anyone picks up the initial call and often takes 15 to 20 rings before the parts department picks up and then only to be told to give them your phone number and they will call you back. I can't understand why James River allows this type of conduct to persist.

Andrew Johnson was an amazing salesman, treats you like family i came in with a price point and decided with a 345R. the next day a bulletin came into the office that all 345R models had a recall and not to sell them, which would of had me waiting for who knows how long, Andrew at the top of the morning contacted me and showed me a picture of the bulletin to prove it wasn't a sales gimmick which i knew he wouldnt lie to me so he then showed me a 355R with nicer options for only a few dollars more, he stayed at it hard and was able to still bring price down a tiny bit more. And then at the end of it he used his own vehicle and trailer drove out of his way to drop it off... that is some of the best costumer service I've ever received. I will definitely continue business there with Andrew.

Spent a ton of money at JR but the parts department is the worst I have ever dealt with. Takes them a year to look up anything and if you call they have no idea what you are talking about. I call dealers in other states and get more help that way. If you cannot tell me what fitting I need to run a skid steer implement on a $100k tractor then you need to work somewhere else.

Honestly, it has been the worst experience. Aside from being given 3 different return dates for my mower, I go outside to cut grass, I cut my blades on and the whole machine starts to knock. I don t know if the blades are loose or if the deck itself is loose, but for the amount of time they had it and the amount I paid to have it annually serviced I should be cutting grass right now, instead of posting this.

Other than the service area this place is 5 star. Personnel are friendly, knowledgeable, honest, patient and instructive. Not service fault really, but they are way behind. 10 days to get a simple repair.
