Best auto shop i ve ever been to treated us just like family and 10/10 would recommend them to everyone. They truthfully helped diagnosed my vehicle problem and showed us what was wrong . Super friendly and they have amazing discounts to look out for on facebook and around jefferson and west jefferson. just had u-joints rotors break pads and a drive shaft and new hubs put on my jeep and it was in and out the next morning so fast and reliable. Really good about calling with updates. will be coming back in future.

JD Is the Most honest mechanic I have ever met. He always tells you what you need, but does not try to oversell you! Yesterday he was able to fix my car problem that I have had since almost the day I bought it. I have been told it was a factory problem and could not be fixed, but he fixed it for a very reasonable price! Cannot recommend this shop enough!

Great work replacing the timing belt and water pump on my Tundra. The work was done on time for a fair price. Most of all they were very honest and upfront. Gave me an initial quote but called the next day to give a lower quote saying he had accounted for too much time and this was all before I brought it in. I wouldn't have known the difference so he could have charged me more but he didn't. They showed me the belt they took off also. They were very friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely call them again for any future work.

I had rotors and brake pads replaced on an older van I bought. Plus there was "a lot" of aftermarket wiring and components on the van that were causing problems. The guys at JD's traced them all down removed them and restored it back to factory setup. All really fast and at a very fair price. JD told me up front what his plan was for chasing the wiring issues and kept me up to date on how it was going. Very pleased with the whole experience. They've got my business going forward.

Very impressed with JDs Auto Care in West Jefferson, NC. I took my 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 into JD's for an issue I was having and they were able to quickly diagnose the problem and get me back on the road in minimal time. Ready for the "Cruise In" season now..... Thanks!

I was visiting my sister and was ready to take my stored car on a 10 hr drive to Fla. A couple days before having to leave the brakes started shuttering.The kind mechanic got me in right away and did the brakes quickly and perfectly.They even eliminated a squeak that had been there for years that nobody could figure out!Very professional and reliableHighly recommended!

JD's team came and picked up my vehicle during a snow storm to install a new after market radio. Although they were unable to get the system working properly they returned the vehicle and did not charge me. We will be back for all future vehicle related needs. Customer service is A+, highly recommend!

Good folks here, JD and all of his techs.They did everything they could to help my mother in law with her Volvo that was butchered by another shop, were completely honest and transparent throughout the process, and even allowed me to work alongside JD on the car.I'd trust them with my own cars, and that's saying a lot!Wishing JD and the crew the best of luck going forward with their business.Service: Electrical repair

Took the family to the mountains for the weekend and had an issue which shut the door on our plans. Not a single person in town could help, not the dealerships, parts stores no one. JD was closed and still came back to the shop to get us taken car of and back on the road to enjoy our weekend. He is the type of person the world needs more of! Highly recommended.

JD can really step up..we had a cascade of items fail on our 2013 dually exhaust system. JD was great at diagnosing the issues. He kept us informed the entire time.He would call and update us before we had a chance to check in on the truck.Highly recommend JD and his team.

Very Professional! Found a problem in time or else my car was be completely destroyed. They call before they do anything even the small things. The mechanic that you are looking for if you are new to the area, or the mechanic that you re comfortable and confident with.

Our AC started breaking down while in town visiting family from Alabama. JD was willing to fit me in on an emergency basis, coming in early and fixing the problem so my family and I could drive home with a working AC. An honest, friendly, and kind mechanic. I called JD Autocare on a Saturday after my car wouldn t crank. I jumped it off but was afraid something was wrong. They were able to check out my car on Saturday (and let me know I d just inadvertently let my battery die after they ran diagnostics) My car needed a tune up anyway so I made an appointment for Monday morning. I got there this morning (Monday) a little later than I d said I would. I also said they didn t have to rush as I would go find something to do to pass time instead I had super pleasant conversations with his wife and before I knew it my car was done! They showed me all the parts that were being replaced (way passed the point of needing replacement) and I felt like the entire interaction was one of the most honest I ve had with any mechanic. Being new to the area, I ve found my permanent mechanic for any of my car needs. Super fast, friendly and honest work! My husband and I where traveling down The Blue ridge Mtn. detour in our RV and we lost our breaks was barely by GODS hand only able to stop in a gravel area across from sheets store and JD'S Auto Care came to our rescue had us up and going the next day because of parts (it was the Master cylinder that had gone out) very kind and very professional I would HIGHLY recommend them. A big thank you to JD'S Auto Care you were such a blessing!

I recently moved to West Jefferson and needed a machanic. I found JD's Auto Care online. After reading all the reviews I called and he took me right away. JD found the problem (and helped me understand the problem). He fixed it and I was on my way. I highly recommend JD's Auto Care to anyone looking for an honest and excellent machanic.

A/C was blowing warm and not working ! So Idropped my car off this morning at JDs to get my AC looked at ! Needless to say in the matter of no time Jd had the A/C fixed and blowing colder then the North Pole Definitely a pro at getting your A/C cold !!
