Thankful to have found our guy for brake maintenance. Excellent service was done quick and at a fair price. We had an issue with brake glazing after install. When we called about it a solution was given ASAP and the owner (Chris) even took a short drive to ensure it felt OK to me. You don t see that kind of down home, caring service anymore these days. As the owner told us, it matters to him that if he sees a customer in the grocery store that they want to say hello as opposed to needing to hide away. You should trust A1 North Buncombe Muffler with your vehicle. I m confident you ll get the excellent, credible, trustworthy service we experienced.

Highest recommendations--honest, fast, thorough work and very reasonable prices. And Chris is an all around good guy. Makes you happy to get a new muffler. Will definitely go back.

Chris does a thorough good job! Have full confidence in both his work and his character. Prices are too good, sometimes I feel like I need to pay him more! (It's hard to get him to take it, but persist! )

Absolutely the best. I called Chris, got an appointment for the next day. I was thirty minutes late, he still got the truck on the lift, replaced muffler and exhaust before his next appointment and the price was unbeatable! I only wish he did more than brakes and mufflers!

I was told by my regular mechanic that part of my exhaust needed to be replaced, but that they didn't do exhaust work. They had one recommendation for a muffler shop. I tried three times just to get in and have them look at it. No luck getting in (first come, first serve basis) so I gave up. Then I heard about A1. I called and spoke with Chris directly. I made an appointment to have him look at my vehicle. I arrived at the scheduled time and got right in. Chris put my car on the lift and invited me to look at the exhaust for myself. Bottom line....It was a loose heat shield. Ironically I asked my regular mechanic if the heat shield was the problem and they said no. This vehicle make is notorious for heat shields that fall off or partially fall off and rattle. The best solution is to remove it which Chris took care of. It also needed one bracket and Chris remedied that as well. In and out in 15 minutes! Chris also pointed out that my exhaust is in relatively good condition but will need some work in the future. There is no doubt that I will be bringing my vehicle to Chris when it's time for exhaust work. Thank you!!!!!

A1 North Buncombe Muffler is one of the most honest, reliable, and courteous muffler and brake shops in the Asheville, NC (Buncombe County) area. Owner Chris is one of the most honest and ethical car repairman I've ever met. His prices can't be beat and his service is top notch. Chris is fast, communicative and very helpful. Chris not only has worked on all my cars brakes and mufflers, he also is knowledgeable regarding other honest repair shops for other types of car problems. A1 Muffler and Brake gets an A+. You'll be glad you took your car to Chris. He knows his brakes and mufflers and can fix any type of car. Chris is personable, a family man, and a good Christian. He'll take care of you and your car and stands behind his service. I only wish Chris did more that just brakes and mufflers. But, if you need your brakes or muffler repair, you can' t find a better service shop than A1 North Buncombe. He is the best !!

Chris is the BEST person I have found to work on my jeep - he is beyond reasonable with his prices and is very straight forward and honest on what the costs will be - I have used him for several issues regarding my Jeep and am always totally satisfied when I leave.

Excellent shop. Reasonable prices with top quality work. Owner Chris McCoy is a great guy. Never had a bad experience here. No better place for mufflers, brakes, and oil changes.

I went in to get an exhaust leak repaired so that my truck would pass inspection. They looked at my truck and gave me three different options with the cost associated with each. He recommended that I get my muffler replaced within 6-12 months and did the most reasonable thing which was to patch my leak. I never felt pressured to do the complete fix at that time. They were honest with me and did not try to take advantage. I would highly recommend them and I will be going back there when I need to.

A1 North Buncombe Muffler,for the win today.When I bought my" new to me car" she kinda sounded like my grandfathers diesel VW bug, but when it started to sound like it was on steroids it was time to get her fixed.
