It's an attractive, large building set up to be a motorcycle place with the front parking area blocked off for cars with rocks. Bikes only. There's a good sized showroom with new bikes, and a large area for apparel and accessories. All of the people are friendly and welcoming. The service area is clean and orderly, doubling as the new Slingshot showroom and used bike collection. If you call, the service manager will answer the phone. They are friendly and helpful. Their rates are competitive with any Indian dealer. The work area of the shop is closed off as usual for dealer shops these days, but I needed to take some information back to Cory the technician. I got to stay and observe the entire process as he installed a set of performance cams in my 111 Thunderstroke engine. I had considered doing this myself, so I had studied the shop manual, every YouTube video I could find, and took the University of Polaris' Indian technician training class on removing and installing cams. I was very impressed with Cory's knowledge, skill, and his thoughtful, meticulous work. He said he had done over 50 cam jobs in these engines. He had come up with a few innovations in the procedure that differed from any that I had seen, and worked very smoothly. He showed me a few tips that I never would have thought of and that I think few technicians would either. He finished the job well under the estimated time, without rushing. He took it out and tested it thoroughly, and it ran perfectly when I got it back and ever since. I was very pleased! I highly recommend Smoky Mountain Indian at Smoky Mountain Steel Horses, and I highly recommend Cory! The attached pic is my "baby" on the lift. Go to the dealership website for pictures of their place.

I highly recommend Smoky Mountain Indian Steel Horses in Waynesville! The entire staff is very friendly, courteous, professional, and accommodating. They are very welcoming and make you feel like you are very important as a customer. I visited the Service Department and had the 10,000 mile service performed on my Indian Pursuit. I was pleased with the work performed and very happy with the pricing for the service. It was completed much cheaper than I was quoted elsewhere. Cameron and Scott acted with professionalism, integrity, and are highly knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions. The dealership is very well-kept, clean, and organized. They have a waiting area that includes a small kitchen and an eating area for snacks and drinks that are available. Can't leave out that they have the most comfortable, large, plush, leather swivel chairs that you will ever sit in! They have a great selection of Indian motorcycles and Polaris Slimgshots. The apparel section is very well stocked with a very large selection of Indian apparel. They have a good selection of accessories and parts as well. This is a great motorcycle dealership that I highly recommend, and I believe you would as well. Stop by and see for yourself -- definitely worth the visit

I've visited this dealer many times to purchase accessories and merchandise since they carry good inventory. All staff, and particularly, the Service Department, has always been very helpful. I contacted them to have Stage 2 cams installed on my Indian Chief. They provided the cost upfront and offered the best price within 200 miles by far. Cameron was very helpful and great to talk to and learn from, and their tech, Corey, went above and beyond to address other existing issues found along the way. They have a solid reputation in the area as a top quality dealership and my experience reiterates it. I'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Just purchased a 2016 Indian Chieftan here. Worked with Mikey and Denise. They were both FANTASTIC! They were friendly and easy to work. They also worked well with each other. The parts and service department were also great! I couldn t be happier with the service .or my new motorcycle! Thank you!!

Denise Sheppard (Manager) and staff hosted the annual Haywood County Motorcycle Parade (#32) for the third year in a row. They were outstanding in providing a great location for the end of run activities. The shop is always well stocked and looking good. There are numerous beautiful bikes on display and with the popular Slingshots. Even though dreary weather kept the numbers of riders down this year, a great time was had by everyone. Don't hesitate to stop in and visit and maybe ride away on your own Indian.

I've been riding my Indian around the States for weeks now, done some good miles and have been enjoying it very much until ..Needed to get some new tires so was headed South to Memphis, did not know the Indian dealer was closed. Long story short, called around and the 'closest' Indian dealer was Smokey Mountains Steel Horses in Waynesville.Spoke with Cameron and secured a set of white walls.Limping my Chief across TN, made it. Cameron (who is short staffed) managed to fit me in across a busy schedule. Got my tires fitted and ready for the next part of my journey.A massive Thank-you to Cameron and his team for their professional attitude and work ethic, ensuring my Safety with new tires.Professional, courtesy, and Safety minded.I would recommend this dealer to anybody that is in the area, even if just passing through, pop in and say hi Thanks again guys, you're the Best PS.. see Southern Thunder-Harley review

Denise was amazing. I had contacted the dealership a month or more prior asking about slingshots. At the time I was told none were available and this was consistent from all Polaris slingshot dealerships had to order one. Well I asked her if any came available to give me a call. Well 2 days ago I received a random text telling me there were slingshots available for immediate delivery! 4 hours later I made a 100mile trip from South Carolina to North Carolina and completed my delivery! So grateful Denise was a woman of her word and delivered on her promise! Was able to meet great support staff! Wife, son and I are extremely happy!

Ordered 2022 Indian Scout Rouge in mid May. , picked it up today.Added on new pipes and pigging back shocks. The wait was not the Dealer's fault. All motorcycles are in pandemic mod.Smoky Mountain Indian gave me a very fair deal. the team was great. Well worth the wait !!!

Cameron Estes is awesome in the Service and Parts Department. We had someone back into our Springfield within the first 2 hrs of our vacation in NC and we are from WI. Cameron had the service department go through the bike to make sure we would be safe to drive it the rest of our vacation in the mtns. The dealership people were all so friendly and great customer service. They have most Indian Aparrel I have every seen at any dealership. Highly recommend.

Not the kind of experience that I was expecting here. I really looked forward to taking my brother-in-law there, but we got a rude salesman that didn't answer my questions. He wouldn't compare my current ride to the Indian Scout ABS I was looking at and said "he didn't like to compare." He followed us around like a security guard and when it came time to take the Scout for a test ride, no fuel was added to the already empty tank. When the bike ran out of gasoline at the end of the exit ramp, I didn't think it would restart. I tilted and shook the bike side to side, and it finally fired up again. I'm just lucky it brought me back to the dealership. That proves there was no fuel poured into that tank.

Mike and Cameron in parts are awesome folks to work with! They were loads of help, working through some issues along the way, to get this trunk setup for my Challenger and helping track down a set of lower closeouts for me. If you're anywhere in NC it's worth the drive (or ride) to go see them!

My girlfriend and I were on a riding trip in the area and stopped in after listening to the drive belt "chirp" all day long. They were gracious enough to get the bike in without an appointment and we were able to enjoy riding on the remainder of the trip with a quiet belt! All the staff were incredibly nice while we waited, and I highly recommend stopping by if you find yourself in the area.

My tire went bad on a long ride through the Appalachian Mountains. I had just enough tread to limp my way into the Smoky Mountain dealer. Called ahead to see if they would stay open to fix my Indian Chief Vintage. They had no problem helping me in my need. They rolled out the red carpet and got me fixed up and back on the road. I am grateful for the service. I will be looking for my upgrade at the Smoky Mountain Dealership. Thanks for the hand up.

Waited a long time. Very busy with only one lady working retail and cash register with a long line of people to help. manager and bike side employees were just ignoring it and sat around and talking instead of jumping in. They say oh we can't get good help hired. Lol you are the bad help.

Outstanding customer service. Highly recommend. My wife and I were riding the Smokies from Boston and ran into an issue with some fuses on my wife s bike. The service rep stopped what he was doing on the spot, came outside, assessed the bike, gave us the fuses (free of charge) and sent us on our way. I ll say it again - outstanding customer service.

Very nice and friendly! Didn't mind bringing family in just to buy a few shirts. If we had a few more days in the mountains would have rented an Indian from their rental dept.

Last week while riding the Blue Ridge my clutch cable snapped. It was day 2 of a 9 day Tennessee bike rally vacation with the boys. What could have been a disastrous week was quickly resolved when these folks produced a brand one (that fit my bike c/w mid rise bars)!!!!! We were on our way in an hour. Great service. Thanks again guys!!!!

Took my road king over for a rear tire change, service dept was great. Pricing was way better than Swannanoa and the service was faster. They did me right while they had my bike in the back with a couple extra things. Made the place really stand out. They definitely go the extra mile for sure. Earned my business.

After a long wait for my Chief Bobber Dark Horse to arrive from the factory, the crew at Smoky Mountain Indian were tremendous. Michael in sales was extremely helpful in coordinating the ordering and the finance options. Brian and Cameron in Parts and Service really went above and beyond in keeping up with the dreaded accessory out of stocks and finding availabilities. The Tech setup my bike perfectly and my Chief rides like a dream. Thanks again Smoky Mountain!!
