My only vehicle broke down on me and I'm so thankful I called here. These guys got me back into my car so quickly and did such great work. Amazing service and absolutely fantastic humans! Super reasonable prices too!

Nathan was very friendly. He did a good job and the price was fair. I will say his workplace could use a major cleanup and he needs a sign out on Main St. so you can find his shop easier. Good guy though.

We were traveling through town and started hearing grinding which was bad wheel bearings. We stopped at an auto parts shop to ask for a mechanic on a weekend. All the mechanics in town were closed except Nathan so we stopped by. Nathan ordered our parts on a Sunday, got them the next day, fixed our car, delivered it to our hotel and we were on the road early the next morning. He was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was so reasonable, and I appreciated him and Cadie so much, I paid him more than he invoiced me for. I had discussed my issue with my mechanic before finding one in Waynesville and his estimate was more than Nathan charged. In fact, Nathan replaced both wheel bearings and the brake pads for what my mechanic said it would cost for only one wheel bearing. Nathan is the best! I was traveling with two girlfriends in the area when one of the tires on my car started RAPIDLY losing pressure! I had run over what looks to be a piece of knife blade One of my friends in the car called Nathan s. He verbally led us to his place staying on the phone with us until we got there He mentioned when we first called he was very behind, and it may be an hour or so to fix the tire, however I truly believe once he saw the three of us tumble out of the car in complete distress he decided to handle it quickly He also directed us to the closest bar where we enjoyed margaritas while he fixed the tire Upon thinking about it, THAT may actually be the best thing he did for us! We were vacationing in the Waynesville area when our car just DIED! Nathan's fixed the problem and worked extra hard to get our car back to us quickly so we would have it for our vacation. They were clearly on our side and really helped us out! The car worked great for the rest of the vacation and it made the 7 hour trip home just great, and is still running great! Car started making noise when at higher speeds on the highway and I pulled over and Google the closest open mechanic and Nathan's came up. Google GPS is wonky and takes you a street over, just stay on main Street and it's actually an orange building near the shell station.Nathan was very kind and personable. Turns out it was my undercarriage that came loose. He was able to fix that and noticed my front tire tread was worn so he rotated my tires. He was very nice about answering questions I had and explaining things in a non condescending way, which I super appreciated!Definitely recommend his services!Service: Tires

Amazing service! Nathan was super informative about my issues. The pricing was very affordable and the turnaround was lightning fast. Will definitely be using him as my main mechanic for me and my family from now on. Honestly the best mechanic service I've ever experienced. I'd give 10 stars if I could.And just fyi if using Google maps, the entrance is on S. Main Street.

After calling several local auto repair shops and getting a response that we had to wait a couple of weeks to get an appointment we were fortunate enough to find Nathan's Automotive! He answered the phone right away and listened as I explained the problem with our car. Even after working a long day, he offered to take a look at our car that very evening. He ran extensive diagnostics and determined the problem. He explained everything he was doing so that we understood. He ordered the part that was needed and replaced it the next day.You won't find anyone more knowledgeable, honest, and hard-working than Nathan.We are so thankful that we found him ... and Cadie!! They are quite a team!

Nathan was awesome. My wife, 2 baby boys and I were traveling to Waynesville for a short visit, and began hearing grinding brakes as soon as we arrived. Needless to say, we did not want to risk driving in the mountains with bad brakes and our little ones. Nathan was the only shop available to take my call late on Sunday (this was a blessing in hindsight). He was willing to work me in quickly the next day and did great work. I had the pleasure of staying to visit with him while he worked on my car (since I had no other transportation), but I m glad I did. He s a hard working, honest and stand up guy. This was our first time visiting Waynesville and he left an outstanding impression of the genuine people in this area. I would highly recommend Nathan to anyone in the area, and if we end up moving to Waynesville he will have a lifetime customer and friend. Thanks Nathan!Service: Brakes

I was in a jam. Nathan was awesome and treated me like family. Need to get my fuel pressure regulator replaced on my chevy silverado Z71. The cost to do the jod was 1/2 of other shops. Got it done within a day. Definitely going back for any issues I have with my truck. Would Recommend to anybody and everybody. The best experience I've ever had at a automotive repair shop. Nathan s Auto was by far the best service I ve ever had from a Mechanic, it s an honest and wholesome place to be. I was stuck 6 hours from home when my engine light came on, on new years day, Nathan was open and more than willing to help me out when I was stuck in a stressful spot. Nathan and his family were some of the kindest and happy people I ve met. He got the job done and I had time to get back safely to base and return to work the next morning. Nathan I cannot thank you enough. I would 10/10 recommend Nathan s to anyone with any trouble. The only problem with Nathan s is that he s not closer to me so I can go to him with all my trouble.

Everyone should make Nathan their go to mechanic. I recently bought a new car and stopped by his place on my way back to Indiana to have it inspected and he went above and beyond! He told me everything I d have to install, then should install, and could install, so no price gouging by him. I visited three times in one week and he was always helpful and quick in installing the parts.While reading his hours you may find it strange that a mechanic is open from 7:30-10 pm but Nathan is a hard worker who loves what he does. He is usually the only one in there and he doesn t stop working until the job is done. He let me know about 8pm one night that my car was done and sure enough I went and picked it up.You won t regret using Nathan for all your various needs. Both his father and uncle were in the same business and thus it is in his blood. I encourage all reading this to try him out and move your business over to his shop!

Nathan is absolutely fantastic. We were having trouble on a Saturday afternoon, which apparently meant everyone in town was closed. Thankfully Nathan was recommended to us and he was happy to help. He dropped everything to help us diagnose the problem and was an incredible gentleman letting my grandmother and her dog stay in the car while he worked. He gave honest advice on how to get the car fixed and recommended questions to ask our mechanic if we didn't come back to him. He made sure to let us know that the car wasn't dangerous to drive and made sure my grandma was comfortable driving the car as is. He wouldn't let us pay him for the diagnosis and said he wanted to help us out of a tight spot. I'm not from the area, but I if I was Nathan would 100% be my mechanic.

Had a wonderful experience!I had brought both my sister and I s car in pretty last minute. Nathan was able to take care of both cars that same day. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Explained what he worked on, and only worked on what was needed. He is very honest and easy to understand.Appreciated his services and will be back again.Service: Oil change

Cannot recommend Nathan enough. We were driving down long distance 10 hours away and had hours left to drive when we started having car issues. Nathan fit us in last minute despite being fully booked. He was extremely friendly, empathetic, yet professional and absolutely knew his stuff. He was able to figure out what the problem likely was as soon as he took a look and was immeasurably helpful + explained everything so well. Thanks Nathan- the group from NJ

My family and I got stranded on the expressway near waynesville and we were fortunate enough to get towed to Nathan's garage and even though he was backed up with jobs he was very helpful and willing to squeeze our truck in to fix the transmission lines. He was so backed up that he didn't have an opening till the following week but he said he could have it completed the next day, which he did. Very appreciative and thankful to have someone who cares about taking care of people and ensuring the job he does is done right. He even asked me to text him when we made it back home which was 3 hours away, to make sure we got back ok. I would recommend Nathan to anyone that needs any type of automotive repair done. Despite being totally booked for the day, Nathan and his crew were kind enough to squeeze us in when our car began having issues during a long road trip. He gave an accurate diagnosis of the problem, explained it to us to make sure we understood, and gave very good advice and let us know to reach out to him if we needed any help or advice when seeking repairs. Extremely friendly and good people, highly recommend this business.

Nathan is by far the best mechanic around. My family and I were on vacation from Florida and he wasted no time putting me at ease. I was able to get the part from O Reily s, they had to order but had it the next day, and he took care of my cylinder head temperature sensor and change my battery as soon as I showed up. If Google had 12 stars I would give them all. Thanks a lot Nathan!Services: Electrical, Battery

Nathan s Automotive is absolutely awesome. We had a transmission fluid leak on a Saturday afternoon during a long road trip. No other nearby mechanics were open before Monday. He took a look at it that night, gave us a ride to the rental place, and worked on it every day until it was fixed. He kept us updated through the entire process. When one of the ordered parts didn t come in he sent people around to check some of the nearby stores in case they had it. Ultimately he got us back on our road trip in a manner of days. He is a very polite, remarkably hardworking, and knowledgeable mechanic. I cannot day enough good about this place.

Nathan is knowledgeable, skilled, friendly, courteous, prompt, and just an all-around awesome guy. He's everything great about small local businesses, home grown and community minded. He has my business for good!!The Sunday after I moved to Waynesville from Kentucky, 6 hours away, my car died on 40 outside Canton. Nathan's was the only place open because of the day and I prepared myself to pay out the teeth for after hours service. Instead, I was pleased to receive kind, courteous service, down to earth confidence, speedy and regular communication, and sincere understanding for my precarious position and funds. Nathan worked so hard to find out what the issue was and then to find the parts I needed to help me get up and running again. His father owned and ran the shop for 40+ years, so he grew up learning about and fixing cars. He genuinely cares about his business and the folks who come in needing help.

Nathan is not only a great guy but a fantastic mechanic as well. My truck's brake pads went bad, and he had my truck in the very next day. Not only did he put on new pads, but he noticed my rotors were badly shot too. He does amazing work and has very fair prices. I highly recommend him.

My car's alternator died last Saturday night and the local O-Reilly's auto parts store recommended Nathan. He gave me an estimate repair price and completed the work with the parts I bought the next day (Sunday). He is open weekends and is very professional with affordable prices. He was happy to work around my schedule. I highly recommend.

One night a few weeks ago my 2014 VW had an engine misfire, almost stalled, and the check engine light came on. I was able to roll it into McDonald's on Russ Ave and did a quick search for a mechanic available in the evening. Nathan to the rescue! He talked me through what might be wrong and I had my car towed to his shop. It ended up being a fairly simple job of replacing ignition coils, sparkplugs, and the valve cover. He also adapted a hose piece himself that saved me $200. He explained everything to me, sent me pictures, and was affordable. He even had my car dropped off since I live close to the shop. Car is running better than before. Highly recommend his shop, Nathan is a gem!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I was hearing a grinding noise while traveling from Kentucky to Charlotte. It had been raining and snowing and I thought I had hydroplaned at one point which was scary. I stopped at a gas station and looked but couldn t see anything. The inside of the gas station was closed so I gassed up and headed for the next exit. I was beyond scared to drive at this point and I was having trouble braking. So I stopped by the side of the road. A young gentleman helped me inch my way to the nearest gas station which was 24 hours. There many locals were helpful and pointed me in the direction of Nathan s Automotive which I had also found online. Between web reviews and locals recommending him, I decided that in the morning I d go with his shop. It was a bit further than the nearest mechanic but my roadside was able to tow it there.Nathan is kind, honest, will explain everything (and I mean everything) if you are interested in knowing what is going with your vehicle. While he worked I went and got coffee and even the gas station attendants spoke highly of him. He went the extra mile with my van. His pricing was reasonable considering how hard he had to work. He got me back on the road to Charlotte. He even asked me to let him know how it worked out. Unfortunately the issue extended further than what we thought, not just the bearings but to the brake pads and rotors. I had to be in Asheville anyhow, so I contacted him. Once again. He was kind and explained things. He had the parts ordered before I arrived since I explained what what happening over the phone.My wipers had an issue with the pivot arm. The piece that held the bottom arm on was plastic as opposed to metal like on every other ford e250 van. Unfortunately, I bought the correct part but my pivot arm assembly was simply different than the rest. Nathan even found an ingenious way to fix my wipers. With rain and snow and more rain wipers are essential to getting me and my kitten back home to Georgia where I can receive the medical help I need.I would highly recommend Nathan s Automotive and would even recommend going out of your way to get serviced at his shop. Local or just passing through and needing help.

I live in Jackson County but I work in Haywood County. This past Wednesday morning a few miles before I got to work my old car, 97 Mercury grand Marquis started smoking from under the hood. Thankfully I was only a few miles from my office and I made it to work. On my lunch break I went to the closest auto parts store and they were able to diagnose a leaking radiator. This is my only form of transportation and having a good 25 minute drive to work every day, it is imperative my car is running properly. The auto parts store gave me a list of mechanics nearby and Nathan s was the first to answer. He was very friendly and assured me he would be able to have it fixed before the end of the following day. That delay was only because none of the auto parts stores locally had a radiator for my car in stock. I dropped my car off Thursday morning before I went to work and picked it up when I got off from work. My very old Mercury grand Marquis was back running as smooth as it ever has. Nathan was very fast, friendly and seemed genuinely interested in getting me helped quickly. In my experience with other garages in the area it s usually a 2 to 3 day wait before you can even bring it in. In rural areas like this if your car breaks down basically your livelihood breaks down so having my car fixed so quickly it s just so appreciated. I definitely recommend this garage and I will give them my business in the future. Definitely now my go to mechanic.

I want to give a huge shout out to Nathan's Automotive for saving our weekend. We were having serious problems with our breaks late Friday night knowing we needed our vehicle for the weekend we asked a few friends what shops were open on a Saturday morning. A few of our friends suggested Nathan's Automotive. I am so happy they did. We called Nathan saturday morning met him at his shop he had the problem diagnosed immediately and in a just a short time he had the parts and new brakes and rotors on in no time. We were back on the road and very happy campers. I would highly recommend Nathan's Automotive for all your vehicle needs. I know my family has found a mechanic for life. Thank you again Nathan for the great and speedy work.P.S. Nathan even called us a few hours later to make sure everything was good with the new brakes. Now that my friend is how you get repeat customer's and referrals.

WOW! Nathan came in clutch, he totally saved me. My car broke down on the side of the highway, needed all new brakes, calipers and whatnot. He helped me so much, got it fixed within a day!! The car runs better than it ever has! Thank you so much, such a good price for how much work and time he put into my car. We really appreciate him, he helped us out a ton! Thank you dude, will be coming back to you for everything; so be ready! :)

I was driving the blue ridge parkway when my check engine light came on, and luckily Nathan was able to look at my car right away. He was very thorough checking everything, and fixed my breaks in a timely and efficient manner. He also did a fantastic job explaining everything he was doing and why. Nathan is very friendly, and an awesome mechanic!
