I would like to start this review by saying thank you again. They were like saviors to me , I really like their service and the kindness they showed to me when my car was in serious trouble. They went above and beyond to fix the problem , all this trouble happened when I was on a holiday trip with my family. Everything was done so fast that I was able continue with less interruption. To add more I was so happy that they charged me exactly for the work they did , I think if it was some else they would charged super extra considering my situation. Hats off for this kind of service and the trust they have built.

Horrible business practice. Wanted to help my disabled veteran neighbor get the heater core fixed in his pickup. Paid Pitts towing, which was fantastic service, for the tow. Jason, from Pitts, gets to Earls, who apparently has done bad work for my neighbor before, and wouldn't let Jason unload the pickup! Put me in such a bind, cost me a tow, and has earned a permanent "avoid like the plague" recommendation from me.

I had an appointment at Earl's Automotive that I waited a week to get. When I showed up they said it would take days to fix it. What happened to my "appointment"? The main thing I needed was a starter replaced (and I brought the part). I asked how much would it cost in labor to replace the starter, and he said "I don't know" really?? you have no idea how much it's going to cost to simply replace a starter on a Nissan Altima? Is this the first car you have ever worked on? I decided to cut my losses and walk out, I knew I would be waiting a week for my car to get fixed there and probably cost me 2X the going rate. I would avoid this place like the plague.

Best automobile mechanic I've ever had takes care of my 69 Corvette and my 2014 Lexus.. very reasonable prices, excellent service.. I could not be more pleased

Best auto mechanic ever! It is so hard to find an honest mechanic these days but they do still exist. We found Earl's Automotive when we moved here almost two years ago. He was highly recommend by several people we talked to so we decided to use him and we are glad we did! He never tries to sell you something that doesn't need to be done. His service is fast and his work is top notch due to his years of experience! Thanks Earl!

Been going to Earl s for years. Always felt I could trust him. He takes care of good customers. I ve been impressed at how deeply he researched obscure problems & follows up on them. He s worked on 3 different cars Of ours including keeping two old ones running!

Driving from WA-NC my car started lurching & the engine light came on. I pulled into Earl s but immediately pulled out thinking it was way too busy and there s no way I d make it to my intended destination (Charleston) on time. But by the grace of God, Earl himself was walking down the road and I rolled down my window and asked how long it would take to read my engine light. It turned out just being an issue with my oil but he got me in right away & back on the road in no time despite being super busy and knowing that I was just passing through. Great people, great service & I only wish he was closer to Fort Bragg where I am moving!

I have lived in many places and I always seek out an honest, skilled, and fair priced mechanic wherever I live. Earl fits the bill! He is knowledgeable, competent, fair on his rates and MOST IMPORTANTLY HONEST! Take your car to Earl's Automotive with confidence. He repaired my F250 in a matter of hours. The symptoms I was experiencing led me to believe that I had serious problems. He diagnosed it right away, gave me a fair price and my truck is like a new vehicle even though it is 12 years old. Earl knows his stuff.

Earl and his team were open and fair, helping us understand what our problem was and how to best fix it. We don't know much about cars, so they easily could've taken us for a ride but they didn't.Quick and easy fix from some really great people.So happy to have stumbled upon this while visiting from Canada.Thank you!

Earl is very kind, patient, and takes a lot of time to explain things. He looks ahead and explains future issues that could take place. Most of all he's really honest. He could've said I needed a ton of work and it ended up only being a belt change. The cost was very minimal as well. I totally recommend him. We've gone to him several times too!

They are awesome people and an honest business! I was on my way back home after my honeymoon and my car started stalling, sputtering, and the check engine light came on. I pulled into another auto shop and was told I'd have to wait until tomorrow. I decided to pull up auto shops via google, and saw Earl's had stellar reviews. I gave them a call and explained my dilemma, so they saw me right away even though they were swamped with vehicles (means people trust them and they have repeat customers) They diagnosed the issued on my BMW immediately, which some places don't know how to work on, ordered the piece all within a few hours of me driving in! The charge for labor was more than fair and they were able to get the sensor within a few hours. If you're ever near the Ashevile/Waynesville NC area and need auto work, this is the place to go!

I wish that everyone I did business with, was as Honest and Competent as Earl. He has serviced and repaired 3 SUVs and a 4 wheeler for me. His work is top notch, and fairly priced. He picked up 2 of the vehicles at my home and transport charges to the shop were minimal.I will do business with Earl's Automotive again.

I had a problem wihere only three of my engine's six cylinders were firing and I also had a terrible noise coming from my exhaust. Earl was far cheaper than the dealer's quote and rather than selling me a muffler or new exhausst system it was a $10 rubber clamp that was broken. Everything was fixed, I saved hundreds, and in one instance where he could have taken advantage of me, he fixed what was actually broken. It is rare to find someone this honest in the car repair world. Biggest problem I had was getting an appointment, the place is quite busy and parking and the customer lobby is small and crampt but I would go there again if I have more vehicle problems.

Sold me a radiator with a lifetime warranty. It cracked, not Earl's fault, but they didn't put the part number on the receipt. I called them on a Friday and they said they'd have to look into it. They never got back to me. They weren't open on a Monday (A Monday <--- !!!) so my new mechanic couldn't get a hold of them. I couldn't put it off any longer, I had to pay for a new radiator from another mechanic. They put the part number on my receipt and I'll be going to them if anything goes wrong with it.

Earls Automotive has serviced my car for 11 years. I trust Earl! I've never had a problem & I look to Earl for guidance and advise concerning the options for car repairs.

Showed up first thing in the morning and Earl immediately welcomed us and began diagnosing our problem before he was officially open. We were from out of town and needed help. He quickly found the problem directed us to a local coffee shop where we could relax for an hour and then had us on our way. Extremely customer oriented. Wish we had and Earl in our hometown

Not an honest experience for me. Nor professional!!! Had my window busted out and this was the garage chosen to replace my window. I had absolutely zero issues with my window til it was busted out by an incompetent mower!!! After Earls replaced my window it was only two days later it jams and will not roll up! Instead of fixing my window when I call them to ask something to be done they claim it had to have been messed up before hand! THIS IS A TOTAL LIE I NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY WINDOW TIL EARLS GARAGE SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IT! THEY DONT DESERVE THE ONE STAR I WAS MADE CHOOSE TO WRITE THIS REVIEW!!!! Very dissatisfied with their business ethics! Stay away from Earls garage!

Took my car in for what I thought would be an extensive repair. Turned out to be a minor issue but they could have said otherwise. I was in/out in 30 minutes. They're honest! Met the owner, nice man. These are very good people.

Our Dodge Caravan had been acting up for several weeks and our local Dodge dealer had not been able to find the problem. While visiting the Waynesville area the problem became worse and we dropped it off with Earl. He found the problem and fixed it correctly the first time at a very reasonable price.

When another shop in town had my truck in their shop for DAYS.... Charged me hundreds of dollars and it still has the same problem... I went to Earl.... He FIXED the problem... It was a little pricey, but not as bad as i had expected.... Thanks Earl!
