A 30 year customer for service for Volvo, Volvo, and MB vehicles. High ethical standards and reasonable charges for only necessary car repairs and maintenance. Shop cleanliness and professionalism mirrors true European car repair facilities. Excellent owners and service without any upselling and limitations for insufficient repairs.

I just moved to Raleigh a year ago and have gone to Janko for my second oil change. The staff is always generous and professional. I haven t made an appointment for either visit and was in and out within a matter of two hours. I had an oil change as well as a state inspection done. This will continuously be my go to for car maintenance.

This was the worst service that I've ever received!! I took my BMW X5 in to have the brake booster and water pump replaced. I was quoted $500 for just labor. The owner Jan made it clear that he was unhappy that I supplied my own parts. He said that's how he makes his money! Don't be mistaken by what some have called his years of knowledge... he's only trying to upsell you on work that you don't necessarily need. We had several conversations after he looked over my car. He kept trying to tell me that I needed 2 new hoses, 2 new belts, a new battery, & that I needed a new brake pressure line instead of replacing the brake booster. All parts that he wanted to provide so that he could charge me. By the 3rd conversation which had gotten a little heated by that point I made it clear that I wasn't interested in the hoses or belts and that I only wanted him to replace the brake booster & water pump that I was quoted for and I would purchase my own battery. When I arrived to pick up my car 2 days later he handed me a bill for $900 for the parts and labor that I never agreed to!! He told me to return the brake booster that I provided & assured me that the car was running fine and the brakes would improve after driving. The car had NO brakes and I returned it only for him to tell me that I needed the brake booster replaced and he could provide the parts & labor. To be continued...

To give you the whole story, I changed the suspension on my BMW myself. I borrowed the tool from Advance to compress the spring and was not able to use the tool (I think because I had sports suspension it needed to be compressed more than usual). I literally drove around for hours looking for a shop that would assemble the front strut for me because I couldn't even out the old strut back on without compressing the spring. Bimmer performance center required the car to be there before they could install the springs (how does that make sense?). I went to a shop that tried to compress it and flat out lied to me and said the machine couldn't go anymore (it was only halfway) and stated they didn't want to hurt themselves and couldn't stop saying how I should've just brought it to them before I took it off. They finally sent me away after wasting an hour of my time. I stopped by Janko Imports and they told me they could definitely try. The tried tool after tool until they decided to use the same wall mounted machine the other place stopped using. They kept going until they were able to compress the spring enough to install. Overall they were able to complete a task nobody else I took it to could. I also paid a very fair rate as it did take a full hour to get this done. Thanks to the guys at Janko Imports for your hard work and I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to them.

My 2015 Subaru Forester was making a strange noise. We took it to Janko Import Cars for a diagnosis. I wasn't sure they even worked on Subarus because that brand wasn't listed on the web site. The first thing John said was, " Subarus are good cars." I knew he was on my side right away. He accurately diagnosed the problem and fixed it before the day was over. The price was less than the estimate and the mechanic even showed us the broken part. We are customers for life!!!Service: Engine repair

They are the best and prices are so fair. I would never take my car any place else. Always a blessing for me when I bring my car. Mr. Janko treats as if I was his daughter. I will never my car anyplace else.

Went in with BMW that was making noise, changed out three different parts and the problem is still there. When I went back to let them know that it s still making the same noise I was now quoted something new for the same problem. I was told that they are in business to make money, I found that to be very arrogant and not an honest business owner.

My car recently broke down in Wake Forest and not being from that area and only living in Raleigh for a year now, I was so lost on where to go and who to trust. I was recommend to Janko's and am overly pleased with the experience and work they did. They were very honest and communicated every little thing they were going to do on my car. I truly believe my car is now running better then ever before!! also their prices are affordable and didn't leave a hole in my pocket. HIGHLY recommend Janko's!!! :)

Mr. Janko and his staff are professionall, fast, curious and give you the very best deal that they can. I love that give me a file of all work done on my car and they keep one. They will also tell me when I can find something cheaper. What a team I've been with since 2016 and I give them 10 Stars.

We have to give 2 huge thumbs up for Janko Import Cars - Auto Repair for being the most honest auto repair guys we have met. We have taken in our lemon of a vehicle into them over 4 times this year and they have cost efficiently fixed the problem in a timely manner. This final time they were honest enough to tell us repairing our vehicle may not even save it therefore losing themselves money but saving us from throwing thousands more dollars into our lemon. Highly recommend them to anyone anytime!!!

Big thanks to Jon and Sebastian for repairing my WRX. They were extremely knowledgabe, courteous and kept me updated every step of the way. Best price in the area and best Subaru mechanics in the area. The car drives better than the day I bought it. They went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right.

Been taking car there for over a year and a half now and the last 2 weeks I've taken it back about 5 times for same problem. And every time had to pay more and more. Got in a eye rolling argument with his wife cause he wasn't there when work was completed. Changing parts for something that didn't need to be replaced in 1st place. Won't ever go there again.

Had oil leakage, from several different places, in a 2009 VW Tiguan. Very honest pricing and the guys did great work. Fixed the issue in a timely manner and was a lot less expensive than what the dealer probably would've charged.

We have been looking for an import car repair shop for a while now since our old mechanic is getting more and more expensive, plus we like to have a shop closer to home. We were recommended by someone to visit Janko and we really have mixed feelings about this place.1. The people there seem friendly but my impression is that they are only the experts on older models. I have a 2004 Mercedes SLK 230 Kompressor and he did a great job fixing mine. But when it comes to my husband's 2010 Mercedes GLK 350 4Matic, we are having the hardest time to keep the check engine light off (We have the car repaired at least three times and after two brand new parts!)2. The owner often told us to bring the car back if the check engine light comes back on... That doesn't boost our confidence when the ultimate goal was to have the car fixed and not come back, right? He also does have some teenage looking workers working in the garage. I guess everyone needs learning experience, right?3. Despite all of the above, the shop pricing is very reasonable.I would not say yay or nay to visit this place but I have given my honest opinion.

Had an alignment and tire rotation done on my 2011 BMW 335 xi today. It was done for half the price of Leith BMW. And the gentleman explained everything on the alignment print-out and what it all meant. Even went a step further to explain what things couldn't be within spec's because it would require replacing some suspension parts and gave some estimated pricing on that. My only complaint was that the tire pressure wasn't adjusted as it should be since the rear tires are suppose to have more air in them and front tires are suppose to have less in them. The technician did show me how to reset it since my air pressure sensor wasn't turning off. But overall, I will be returning to them for future service and repair. They all seem like they know what they are talking about and I waited for the vehicle to be done and it didn't take long at all. Thank you!!

Called this shop today looking for a quote on a suspension swap out on my BMW wagon. The gentlemen who I talked to on the phone told me "to do the work yourself I don't want to do it" That's a direct quote, and I was totally blown away by that statement.A real shame, I've been looking for a good shop to take my BMWs too, and I heard great things about this shop. Guess I have to keep looking.

Insisted that the Saab needed a nonSaab clutch. Three clutch failures in a year and he blames me a manual driver for 34 years who never lost a clutch until he worked on it. $1600 wasted and undrivable again. The second repair he claimed was the fault of a $28 part he charged $300 for. Would never recommend him. No integrity.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Our experience was very bad, awful. From disrespecting the client, to making and collecting money for work that was not requested nor consulted with the client.
