My friends drove my Honda Pilot from MD to NC (where I had been living for the summer I was moving home on Sunday) My car broke down 40 minutes before they got to my house in NC. This was at 7am on a Friday morning. I was concerned that no shop would be able to fix it by the time we had to go home with such late notice (most shops are closed on the weekends here, even this shop was only open until 12:30 on Saturday), but John was so nice and said he would try his best to get it done by the time I had to go home Sunday since it was an emergency . And he did! He fixed it by the end of the business day on Friday! When I went to pick it up he test drove it twice with me and my friend and did a computer diagnostic test twice to ensure it was fixed before we drove it to MD. It s Monday now and John texted me to make sure my friends and I got to MD safe with the pilot and that he hoped we had a good trip. Best experience I ve ever had at an auto repair business. I was treated with the most kindness by Mr. Davis as he walked me through what the issue was with my car and told me what needed to be fixed in a way that was helpful and uncondescending. You can tell he is a man of good character. I felt well taken care of and was more than happy with the repairs and the price. I would absolutely recommend this business to everyone!

We were trailering our boat out of town ahead of Hurricane Dorian and we discovered we had bad wheel bearings. We spent an hour and a half trying to find someone to help us replace them so we could make it back home. We showed up 15 minutes before they closed expecting them to turn us away as many others had, but John and Bobby stayed late to help us and made sure we made it home okay. We are so thankful for them and highly recommend Swansboro Auto and Mechanical to anyone who is looking to support a business that cares about their customers.

These guys were on time, they did what they said they would do, didn't cut corners with parts - and even did a follow-up check-in to make sure things were as intended. Stuck with the project through the end. On top of all that, the shop is clean and i got a free cup of coffee. I highly recommend this shop and its superior service standards. FAIR PRICE TOO!

As a military transplant, it's hard to find places to trust in the area. John and his son have gone above and beyond in diagnosing problems + fixing them. They are always honest and get the job done. Thank you!
