Poor assistance in trying to get a car off the trailer that didn't start, then billed 400 to take out dash and say issue was mice. Picked back up and the other garage said there is no damage to wiring from mice. These guys wanted 3000 to change wiring harness on WRX... Had really hoped for better after reading other experiences.

When used cars became so expensive I decided to get my 2010 Subaru Forrester repaired rather than buy another car. I received three different estimates from three different mechanics for essential repairs needed. The Subarus R Us estimate was about a third of what the others quoted. The work was done on time and two months later is still holding up beautifully.The Office Director Christy is an absolute delight who makes you feel welcome and well cared for from the moment you walk in even on days when her call volume is very high.I brought my children in with me, and they drew on the chalkboard in the waiting room, played with the adorable office dog and were treated to peppermints and stickers.I don t know much about cars and it feels so good to find a mechanic I trust, who does quality work for a reasonable price. The excellent customer service is the cherry on top!

Great communication and service. My car was finished much quicker than I expected. Hopefully i won't be returning anytime soon, but if I have any issues in the future, i'll be contacting Subaru R Us first.

Honest, do good work that lasts with time and do it on time, and always lower priced than chain auto mechanics quote. They have taken care of my 2005 Forester for 10 years and it s still rolling

I came to NC for Tail of the Dragon and unfortunately on the trip my WRX was overheating when idling/stopped. I was in denial that it was my head gaskets because it didn't have any of the symptoms people warned me it would have. They squeezed me in to quickly diagnose headgasket failure. I left the car with them for a little over a month and they met the deadline I needed. I am pretty shocked that I had to redo the timing belt & water pump because I did them just under 30k miles prior. The price for that job was a little high although the headgasket job was reasonably priced as well as the valve covers. The spark plug cost was ridiculous. $37 a spark plug!? You can get the whole set for $50. Even buying them from Subaru they're $17-$19 per plug.Overall, I would come back here again if I lived locally.P.S. Shamu should really be on their business cards 10/10 mascot.

Second time bringing my Impreza in, very fair prices and excellent work done from my experience so far. If you own a Subaru, I would definitely recommend bringing it here for just about any issue or preventative maintenance you may have.

Some pros: very communicative, good at finding reasonably priced parts, after hours drop off is convenient.Purchased a used Subaru, took it to Subarus R Us because this is where this particular vehicle has always been serviced. Was slammed with 4k in repairs over the course of two months and there are still issues that are not being addressed. Somewhat dubious repair work, they have quoted me for many expensive repairs (power steering, new catalytic converter, new transmission) and it seems oil is still spilling onto my engine going uphill. Yes my car drives better after the transmission repair, but definitely get a second opinion elsewhere.

Had a transmission issue, AAA told me I'd need a full valve body replacement for $3,000 and a two week wait. Called Subarus R Us for a second opinion, they quoted me a thousand bucks less and could take care of it that week. Turns out AAA was totally wrong about what it needed, and the repairs were even cheaper than SRU's initial quote!

I have been bringing my cars here for many years. They are hard working, honest, and have always taken amazing care of my cars.....which I am somewhat hard on. First, the people here are super friendly and extremely helpful. I was driving back to Jacksonville NC, when my oil light came on. I was originally looking for a place to buy oil and I was just going to get my oil changed once I got home. But it was definitely a sign to do it right then because I saw Subarus Are Us and decided right then I needed to go. They informed me they are appointment only because they do have a lot of business and they wouldn t have been able to get my car in for another few hours. Which would ve set me back about 4hrs from getting home. Y all, they set aside their schedule and helped me out with an oil change. I am so grateful for that. They were so kind and nice and didn t make me feel stupid for not getting my oil changed sooner. I 100% recommend this place for your Subaru. Their customer service is wonderful and I wish they were here in Jacksonville instead.Thank you to these guys for helping me. I can t thank them enough for what they did. Unfortunately, I had very bad luck with a newly purchased used Subaru from a shop in TN. Three weeks after purchase the engine seized and needed replacement. After towing my vehicle to multiple repair shops in the area, it was clear that Bobby and the whole Subaru R Us team was going to be the most helpful, offer the most/best options, and get me back on the road quickly. The price was fair, the guys in the shop ruled, vehicle is driving better than before and I know this is the garage I'll head to whether it be a simple oil change or any future repairs! Much appreciation.

We were traveling from out of town and they came recommended from a Subaru dealership. They got me in the next day and had to replace a cracked radiator.The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They got us in and out in less than 2 hours and it was extremely affordable!! There s wifi in the office so I was able to get work done even while we waited. 10 out of 10 would recommend!! We can t thank them enough for helping us out!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been coming to these guys a few years with a few different vehicles.Although I miss Lee, everyone is helpful respectful and patient. I don t know a lot about cars and it can be frustrating when you aren t sure what the mechanics are telling you.I never feel like they are trying to do more than necessary or talk me in to repairs I might not need. I was recommended to come here and I regularly recommend anyone to go here.The prices seams fair and the work is always done on time.

The Receptionist Brandy, a true Renaissance Woman for All Seasons, was AWESOME!!!!She was able to quickly book an appointment for a very frustrating issue of a chaotic systems check light that randomly would shuts down the Eyesight and cruise control!!! Her knowledgeable and friendly demeanor certainly restores the customer to the true ideal of customer service!!!!Chad the Mechanic also was AMAZING!!!He is very skilled in his craft as he was able to locate the problem, restore my Subaru to his original magnificent self, and NOT take me to the Cleaners.KUDOS to them Both and All the great folk at Subarus R Us on not only a job well done, but a job well done with Exceptional EXCELLENCE!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning

I took my Forester XT into have valve work done because of a burnt exhaust valve. While in the shop my car being done was delayed 3 times. Each time i was given a date it would be done by and each time when the day came to pick it up i would call and they would have an excuse for why it would be another 5 days til i could pick it up. I was patient and a hopeful that they were taking their time to make a good repair. Finally get my car back and there was a slight coolant burning smell but no puddling under the car so i wrote it off as left over from the repair. Yesterday the coolant smell was too much to ignore so i investigated under the hood and found the hose clamp for the coolant supply hose to the turbo, of all things, was not attached and dripping coolant. If this happend to someone that didnt have knowledge of cars it would've led to an extremely costly repair and undoing of all the work i paid $3300 to get done. To top it off when i spoke to them about this issue they told me there is no labor warranty so im left praying that the only thing they missed. Moral is if you want work done with attention or in a timely manner, find somewhere else.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I brought in a 2007 Outback for several major engine/transmission/ignition repairs over the course of a few years. The folks at Subaru's R Us were always courteous, helpful, and timely with their work.They made good quality repairs, helped me understand which repairs were necessary and which were optional, and always helped me find the simplest and least expensive way to fix a problem.They did me several favors along the way, including help sourcing a new engine from another shop and help getting the car to their shop without an expensive long-distance tow.When it was time for me to sell the car, they even helped me appraise the value of the car and hosted it on their lot for higher visibility.I can't say enough good about this shop. It's everything I look for in an auto mechanic (honesty, quality, thrift) and none of the things I dread when looking for a new shop (pushing optional repairs, cutting corners, acting without consent).They know Subarus and they will help you fix your problem without stringing you along.Thanks SRU for your work.Services: Transmission, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

After I called to find parts information, the agent took my phone number to call back to let me know if it was available or not. The call was returned, however two days later, and after I located and in fact just left the parts department of a different supply source. In other words it was too late. I can only suggest that Subaru's R US be more pro active. I may need to call for something from them in the future. Happy New Year!Updated Dec. 30th, 2021_after business sent reply to the above review...Your reply and apology accepted. Keep in mind from a consumer's view and a down car used for everyday transportation 2 days is a long time. Most parts places can help directly via computer inventory data, or actually walk to a shelf for the parts. Hence the term "be more pro active". By the way Subaru's R US has been able to provide parts for me in the past via the web. So I only gave my review for the current part search and it is my honest thoughts... That is what a review should be.

I came in for steering wheel shake that I thought was the outer tie rod on the drivers side. They checked it said the tie rods were fine, but that they thought my rotors, which are less than a year old, were warped, then they call to say they want to put on front shocks too, probably because they were wrong about the rotors. Ended up charging me over 1300, and my car still has the same problem as when I brought it in. Only reason I gave two stars is because they have successfully fixed an issue in the past.

I bought a 2014 Subaru Forester over the summer and it ended up needing a replacement motor. After months of waiting for a motor through a different car mechanic, and suddenly needing my rear wheel bearings replaced, I found Subarus R Us. They quickly replaced my wheel bearings and when I mentioned to them that I was searching for a replacement motor, they found a low mileage replacement that day! I was thrilled! Subarus R Us helped me out significantly and I would highly recommend this business to others.

I was extremely pleased with their service - The gentlemen at Subaru's R Us are helpful and honest. They were able to diagnose a problem with my car that the dealership (Prestige Subaru) was unable to figure out. They also fixed the problem at hand without trying to tack on all the "extras" (every time I go to the dealership, they always try to squeeze out every penny by suggesting things I don't need) Subaru's R Us also had my car repaired in an hour. (It was always at least 2 hrs at the dealership, even if it was just for an oil change!) I will NEVER go back to the dealership again. Thank you for the incredible service, Subaru's R Us!

Thought my clutch went out but ended up just being the clutch fork . About a thousand dollars less to fix than the clutch. They are honest and friendly and I ll be bringing my vehicle back here for further repairs.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Manufacturer recommended timing belt change and tune up. Also checked rear wheel bearings my tire place said might be bad.I did shop around and find lower prices BUT all the others were using after market parts. Big debate there, but due to budget constraints I had all the under the hood work done at Subarus R Us, with my broken axle and wheel bearings done elsewhere.The work was completed quickly. They did not seem offended I had to some of the work done elsewhere. They answered all of my MANY questions over the course of 4 phone calls and 2 visits.Small town vibe. Multiple classic Subarus in the parking lot, some for sale. I will be back, but hopefully not too soon!
