2019 Yamaha Tracer -On a road trip in the Asheville area, I had an oil light come on. I called Jody hoping he could do a quick oil change before heading out of town.He worked to squeeze me in, which allowed me to complete my trip without worrying about my motor.Very grateful. Although this may not always be possible, if he feels he can, he offers needed help.

Great repair, great service, good prices. I messed up a clutch job on my bike and they towed the bike for me and had me all fixed up within a week. 80 bucks for the tow and 160 for a couple hours of labor. Highly satisfied, would recommend.

Jody and the team at mountain cycle works are the only people I trust in the area to get quality work done at. Both times I ve had to bring my bike in they have gone above and beyond, gotten my ride back to me in half the time I expected it to be done, and for half the price the stealership down the street was going to charge me. Don t even question it, these are good dudes who will treat you fairly and are masters at what they do!

I had difficulty putting my clutch lever on my Yamaha XT250 and I brought the bike to Mountain Cycleworks thinking maybe since he was busy he would hold my bike till he had the time. He stopped what he was doing, it took him just a few minutes but still he didn t even charge me. He even gave me a brief explanation of how the gears and clutch work on a motorcycle which I found useful. The man definitely has my confidence and I highly recommend his shop to anyone needing work done on their motorcycle.

This place is the best place in the United States to take your bike to have it work on they have one guy who works on Harleys who is a expert very reasonable rates good people. They have another guy who works on the Japanese bikes he is also excellent these guys love what they do and take pride in their work much better than any dealer you'll come across these guys have a lot of experience I wouldn't take my bike anywhere else I have a Harley and I've had him do a few things for me and you will not be disappointed

In Summary: great shop.I was passing through town on a road trip, noticed my tires were awful slick and rear brakes ground to a nub. Didn't have much time to stop in Asheville, but Jody got me in on short notice and got me on the road ahead of schedule. All the work done well, the price fair. He was friendly and helpful, answered all my questions. I really lucked out finding Mountain Cycleworks, would definitely recommend to a passing traveler or anyone needing work done on their bike.Services: Tires, Brake service & repair

Great prices and great work. My Harley will only go here for repairs. Posted 11 months agoUPDATE; 04/28/20Just had my Harley 883 iron 5000 mi service done and was well pleased with the work. Jody also changed my rear tire for a very reasonable price and gave me some important information about when I spray my bike or ride in the rain. I trust him totally to do the maintenance I need. Thank you Mountain Cycle Works

Nice small shop got me out of a bind when my rear tire started coming apart on a trip. Be here when I open and I'll take care of you! He did.

My bike decided to change its own oil going down the highway (major oil leak) as I was traveling through the area. I called Mountain Cycle Works and he was able to squeeze me in and look at it. They were able to fix it quickly and get me back on my trip. I highly recommend this shop.

I'm very happy with the service and price for a rejet on my '82 Yamaha. I came from 7000 ft in Colorado having issues when I got to town and now my bike runs great! Highly recommended.Service: Carburetor cleaningService: Carburetor cleaning

Awesome local shop. My rear tire was down to nothing. Originally they couldn't get to it for a few days which wasn't going to work with my plans. They realized I called from an out of state # and called back saying to bring it down and they'd squeeze it in. Great customer service with fair prices make this Indy a place every biker should consider!

I had searched all over the interwebs for a new front wheel for my almost 30 year old Fat Boy and couldn't glean the details about the bearing setup on any of them. After having dealt with the guys at Mountain Cycleworks in years past, I knew those guys would have answers. And sure enough, after about an hour of searching through his catalogs, he found the exact wheel I needed, ordered it, and had it shipped directly to my mechanic. All the while I'm drooling over his bikes out front...

In my experience the guys at Mountain Cycleworks are honest, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. I would highly recommend them. We have taken two of our motorcycles their- one was an 1981 CB650, and the other was a newer Kawasaki sport bike. These are great guys who do great work, period. I noticed a full range of bikes in their shop... from Harley's to sport bikes to dual sports.

My drive belt broke on my HD 883 Sportster. Called, right off the bat, they gave me a quote ($400 and $80 for tow). They tow, that was awesome. My Bike was ready, way ahead of time. I totally recommend this place, instead of HD stealership (and I own a Harley). Did called HD for a quote and they were alot higher. To top it off, the dude was rude to me over the phone for asking to repeat what he said.

Out of my total of $120 for a synthetic oil change. A charge of $5 for "shop supplies" was definitely not put toward a rag to stop a completely obvious situation of a vertically mounted oil filter from dripping all on my wrapped headers on a hayabusa. As I'm riding I can see a trail of blue smoke behind me. Upon return I get confirmation that's the problem and brushed away like I'm the idiot. I wish I could post the video of my bike smokingService: Oil change

Stopped in to get a jiffy stand spring replaced because the local Harley didn't have. Was referred to Mountain Cycleworks by the local Harley which was nice. Mike the owner got me in and out in about 15 minutes. Great guy, great service. When touring and you happen to have a problem, if your in the Swannanoa NC. area, stop in to see Mike. Thanks again Mike

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They are both knowledgeable and friendly and will never try to scam you. The customer is in charge and they make the customer #1. A great place to order parts, whether they install it or you are a DIYer. Jody & Mike stand behind their work.

As a single female rider, I always worry if something happens to my bike on the road and I'll be taken advantage of by some vulture mechanic who knows they have the upper hand. This place renewed my faith in the human race! Was on my way back home to Myrtle Beach from four splendid days cruising the winding mountain roads and was experiencing a disconcerting wobble. I had stopped at three shops who were either too busy or closed when I found this place (well, Google found it for me). Jodi (sorry if i got the spelling wrong) was so kind and concerned and was eager to see what was the problem. Though he didn't find anything that should cause me concern for the 4+ hour ride home, just hearing those words gave me great confidence. I was treated more than fairly and made it home without incident. I will see what my local mechanic can ascertain once I get the feeling back in my butt. :) Thanks Jodi!!!
