I was traveling through NC with an overnight in Statesville on my way home from FL. My tire sensor light popped up on dash for the 3rd time in a week. The 1st 2 times, a technician at 2 different mechanic shops in FL assigned the problem to temperature change and adjusted air pressure in tires. The young mechanic at Ayers Automotive in Statesville felt that the situation merited investigating a bigger problem such as a nail so he removed the tire. He found a finishing nail in the backside sidewall of tire! The owner and mechanic worked diligently to find a replacement tire to match the 3 month old tires on my vehicle. They finally located a tire in another town and drove to pick it up so I could get back on the road that day vs waiting a day for next day special order delivery.Had this young man not taken the extra steps to find the problem, I would have undoubtedly been broken down along I77 somewhere with a flat tire with a fully loaded SUV (think buried spare tire!). I cannot thank Ayers Automotive enough for their excellent service! Please support this business - this kind of service is a scarce commodity in today's world! Kudos to Ayers Automotive!

I would have not made it to my destination if it had not been for Ayers and team of mechanics pulling threw for me. If your in the area, I recommend taking your car here to get fixed. I always have great service from Tim, the owner of Ayers Automotive. The service is always reliable and he knows cars.I had to bring my van to him when a light came on after a repair and he was quick to make sure there were no issues.I will definitely use his shop again for my repair needs.

This place took over a week to replace my wheel hub, bearing and to get an inspection on my new car, after they told me a day. After I got my car back the ABS light was on and the bearing was whining like they did not even replace my bearing which inclines me to believe they charged me for a bearing and did not replace it or messed it up putting it together. I called several times while they had my car to see when it would be finished, half the time they never answered, and they would just tell me wait and never told me they were having issues with it. I finally got a them to pick up after a week of calling. They also did not do the inspection even though they told me they would have it done the day before I came and got my car. Never the less telling them twice I needee on. I would not recommend this place to anyone because they refuse to keep their word or follow any mechanic standards at all.

This man took $750 for a deposit on work he did not do. I have been trying to get my money back for months. He seems like a nice person. Yet he refuses to give a 62 year old woman who is on disability and just lost her husband my money back. Best be careful people. I hate doing this honestly.

Ayers Automotive was excellent!! We had a brake line to break and another one getting ready to break. All repair shops was super busy at the time we needed our car fixed. He was nice, friendly, and done excellent work!! If you need a repair shop I recommend Ayers Automotive.

Our Daughter and her husband broke down on the highway on their way back to Canada from Florida. Ayers Automotive were very friendly and helpful. They needed to put a new transmission in the car. My husband spoke back and forth with the mechanic and he felt very good about his ability and honesty!

On our way to Florida from Pennsylvania, our 2015 Suburban decided it wanted to make a stop in Statesville. We broke down at a gas station nearby to Ayer s in the middle of the night. While I laid in our hotel bed at 2:30am wondering how the heck we are going to get back on the road with 2 little ones and a baby, I started scrolling mechanics near me . If you are reading this, you too have seen how many people have posted on this page about what a wonderful service they have provided to many people. After talking to the owner, Tim, and getting us the info to get a tow truck to our car, I had hopes we would be back on the road by the end of the day. After working on it for many hours, turns out it was a sensor that went bad. We were in fact back on the road just before the sun set. It was such a wonderful feeling to have your car back to normal when you are six hours from home. We couldn t be more thankful to the team at Ayer s as well as the fellow people who also unfortunately broke down but took the time to recommend this wonderful garage. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I don t wish being stranded to anyone, especially with little kids, but if you are in a similar situation as us, I highly recommend Ayer s. My car broke down on the way home from Charleston to Michigan. I had my mother and two kids in the car, and my car was not driveable. I found them to be very honest, reasonable, and really nice people. My car was repaired within a few hours, and we had a safe trip home. Highly recommended.

Ayers Automobile is a great place to take your vehicle. We were traveling through Statesville when our vehicle started having issues. Tim was so nice and looked at it right away for us and figured out what was wrong. He ordered the part and got us on our way. Anita made us feel as comfortable as possible with our long wait for the parts.

I had a problem in power steering from a very long drive. Tim took his time in searching for the reason. Listened well to me explaining the problem. He added anti leak fluid and got sure that the steering is well. He took his time to circulate the fluid and pop out the air and confirmed that everything should be ok during the long drive and it was ok. He nearly charged me nothing !That s beside his welcome and kind personality.

Transmission blew on the highway from florida to Pennsylvania, he is right of the exit so was easily accessible he moved it from the gas station for me and had a used transmission slapped in it in less then 24 hours and it didnt cost me and arm and a leg, absolute legend would definitely reccomend!

Caught a flat while staying at a hotel. Contacted Tim first thing in the morning, no muss, no fuss, and out the door. Polite and engaging, made a potentially bad situation almost enjoyable.

If you ever have a problem with your vechile this is the place to take it. I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with my car. They are honest and literally the best mechanics around!

Well to my understanding they was suppose to fix the a/c in a day. Didn't happen but can't say anything bad about them, but if you tell a customer something do what you say

I won't bore you with the ugly details, just let me strongly suggest you take your car someplace else. I'd highly recommend Lane's Tires & Auto Service, just across the road.

First time customer,had a check engine light on,went in they trouble shot it with accurate persision, went to AutoZone bought the part replaced it, went back they inspected it, good for another year.much thanks to them and AutoZone

These people are crooks....RUN..don't walk. Overpriced, sloppy work...rip off!!Estimate was $325...ended up paying $975 and 3 weeks to fix car
