By far the most honest mechanic I ve ever met. Would feel comfortable sending anyone there. Got different quotes from 5 other shops around and was never able to get a straight answer until I visited lockstep. If you are in search of an honest shop this is the place.

Easy 5 Stars! Lockstep handles the big and little repairs with honest service. They won t oversell the job. I do my oil changes there and got AC repaired same day. Can t say enough great things about them.

Because I was so impressed by the work done previously at very reasonable prices, I decided to have my Nissan Frontier worked on as well. Was not disappointed they repaired and accomplished all I asked in a quick timely manner. They are my new GO To Service Shop!!!

Lockstep Automotive Solutions far exceeded my expectations of their expediency, straightforwardness, and professional yet friendly customer service. I wanted to replace the universal joints on my truck and the owner gave me an accurate and fair quote over the phone, booked my appointment, and got the job done first thing in the morning. Now my truck runs like new. I would highly recommend Lockstep Automotive Solutions.

We used Lockstep after one of our cars started having transmission issues at pretty low mileage. Luis was able to figure out what the problem was for much cheaper then the dealership wanted to charge and gave advice on how we should proceed. Unfortunately our car had a catastrophic issue and even though it couldn t be repaired here we will continue to recommend this garage to anyone who needs a mechanic!

Although I don't normally write the reviews, I did review a few someplace.But this place has to be written.The owner is really helpful and kind.I had several concerns regarding issues with my vehicle, so I asked him many questions, and he politely responded.Even after everything was fixed, there was still a problem. I went back and explained the circumstances, and he happily attempted to find a solution.There are certain problems that become clear only when you see them in action as in my previous experience.My vehicle was serviced at several locations.I will not reveal these location.I could see those places weren't really honest; they were just in it for the money.Certainly, the price was ridiculous.I looked up costs at other retailers too.In any case, I'm glad I found this place.I am grateful that you have read my evaluation.

Would not recommend. First place I ever went to and they diagnose your car for 100 dollars but don t fix the problem. I had a horrible experience here. The people who owned this place before would explain everything to me and tell me price and ask did I want to proceed. This man man me feel rushed, looked at me like I was stupid while explaining what I think is wrong with my Then when i left my car was shaking which it was not doing before hand. Brought it back not even 45 mins later and first thing he saids is I didn t do anything to it. I went explaining that my car I think was running hot and the AC does not work. So when I leave the shop I expect my car not to run hot and the ac/heat to work. But instead I left with a diagnosis of nothing. My system does not work and he told me it was the motor blower. Obviously I want it fixed if I brought it to the mechanic shop. But don t worry he will take 15 off my next visit if he fixes the motor blower. As if I would go back here. My car sat there for 3 and a half hours for him not to do anything. Then asks if I want a hug because it looks like I need one. I need a hug after me and my son rode together in 40 degree whether this morning and almost froze cause my heater does not work. I work all day and that is my only means of transportation so I wasted my time coming here.

Had a wonderful experience here about two weeks ago. I was visiting Jacksonville from 2 hours away to buy a used 2004 Camry, and needed someone to inspect it to make sure it was in good shape before I signed the dotted line. Luis made sure a day in advance that he could fit me into his schedule and saved me a slot. A straight shooter, he looked everything over, found a couple minor issues that helped me negotiate a few hundred dollars off the sale for needed fixes, and ultimately gave me the peace of mind I needed to buy the car. He knocked off half the price of a standard inspection for me, and he even did a couple extra checks after I was about to leave when I remembered I hadn't asked if the airbags had ever been deployed, and he pulled out his little computer and confirmed they hadn't. Lockstep Automotive Solutions serviced my 2003 Jeep Wrangler for maintenance and perform major services (oil change, brake fluid, automatic transmission fluid, and differential fluid).I also had AC serviced after having cooling issues. Lockstep Automotive Solutions was able to recharge my AC and make necessary repairs. Great to have your AC tune up with the North Carolina humidity.I did my due diligence to research independent mechanic shops in the Fayetteville and Spring Lake area. This is a great honest mechanic operating a small business and veteran own by Luis.Please don t go to Harrell s or dealerships that will try to rip you off as a service member or dependents of a service member.Go to the Lockstep website to get an online quote for service and repair. My repair bill was cheaper than the initial quote. Luis is an owner/operator so be patience for a quote later that day.I wouldn t hesitate for Lockstep Automotive Solutions and Luis to perform any service foreign or domestic manufacturers. Look no further to finding a mechanic and local business. Lockstep Automotive is your one stop shop.

If you want a bandage over a problem keep searching! If you re looking for someone to square the problem away whilst going the extra mile on your vehicle then look no further than Luis at lockstep. He installed lowering springs on my GTI and took care of other suspension issues that would ve become a problem in the future.

Having grown up in an auto shop and on the racetrack in English Town, NJ, I am proudly a mechanics son. I fully understand automotive repairs. Unfortunately work prevents me from getting back under the hood! I recently purchased a 1968 Austin Mini Pickup with the intent of completing a total restoration. For about 2 months I traveled all around Eastern NC looking for a smart, trustworthy, and reliable mechanic and I found that in Luis of Lockstep Automotive solutions. He treats every vehicle as if it was his own, with great attention to detail. And the best part, his labor rate is the best in the area. During the course of a suspension and brake upgrade, Luis also became a great friend. Luis is what everyone should want in a mechanic. Exceptional work, extremely professional, knowledgeable, truly talented, honest, trustworthy, and the best price in the area. Anything else and you are settling for something far less. After a lot of research, I finally purchased the AirLift RideControl kit so I could level out my F150 while towing. I had intended to install the kit myself but ran out of time prior to my relocation. Lockstep Automotive Solutions was an authorized retailer/installer listed on the AirLift website. The Lockstep website made communication and scheduling simple. Luis was able to answer all of my questions and squeezed me in on short notice. He installed the kit in a third of the time it would have taken me. He was able to fit the airlifts behind my Husky wheel-well liners without a problem and routed the fill lines through my license plate. The system looks sleek and functions perfectly. Luis is a true professional. His pricing was fair and was exactly as quoted with no surprises. I highly recommend Lockstep Automotive Solutions to anyone in the Ft. Liberty area! It is great to support veteran owned and operated businesses-particularly when they are as stellar as this one!

I always find it difficult, finding and trusting mechanics especially since my husband does all of our vehicle maintenance.Of course my husband is gone and I feel-like one disaster after another hits. I found lockstep not only were they empathetic, kind and making sure I am well taken care of. They also worked hard to make sure I was not with out a vehicle with kids. Luis was awesome! I looked all over the area to find someone to flash my new Front Control Module to my 07 Charger. I dropped my car off in the AM on a days notice, and it was done by the end of the day! Super friendly and awesome dudes there. So glad I brought my daughters car here. The customer service is amazing. The owner and staff went above and beyond in the service they provided. By far, the best place to bring your car. They worked on my daughter s car and made sure it was road ready to go across country. The car runs better than it ever has and we are pleased that we serviced her car here. So we just moved back to Ft Bragg, and I personally did not want to have to go through Toyota again due to the rudeness in the same town we have had to deal with before. In our neighborhood I heard that a veteran started his own business recently and was very good. I m always a little leery just because you never know. However we made an appointment, at first it did not go through, the owner called to make sure we were able to make the appointment and when he knew it did not go through he personally made the appointment. Amazing amazing customer service. Job done within the timeframe they said it would be done beautiful shop beautiful owners and location. On top of that the future of the shop has a lot going on that will benefit the area and underprivileged people that are looking to learn a trade craft. I cannot recommend the shop more. Just beyond amazing! Out of all the cities and states we have been(8 duty stations) we can honestly say they have earned lifetime customers. From us.!Service: Oil change

Lockstep is the best auto service I have experienced. Very honest about what was needed to be done . Sent me pictures and showed me in person what was rusted, cracked and corroded under my old 1995 Jeep. Luis and Tom have gone above and beyond my expectations. Will definitely come back to them when I needed anything else done!! My exhaust was banging against the underside of the car so I made a lunchtime appt. Originally, not knowing what he was getting into, he quoted $95. I got their on time, he pulled my car in readjust the exhaust and I was on my way in about 30 minutes. Cost was half originally quoted. Saving time at lunch was great and I appreciate the fix and back to work with less out of pocket than I thought.
