Met Jamie on the side of the road today after my wife and I hit a deer. This man without question helped us with our car so we could continue on our way. You don t find people like him very much anymore.

Family owned, friendly, & fast. The office was empty when I arrived, & when I went to the service door I had to yell out 3-4 times to get someone's attention. It must've been lunch time for the lady who runs the office, because she arrived a bit later. Everyone was super friendly & helpful. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is only because of the cleanliness (or lack of). Again, they are super nice, very efficient, & extremely helpful, but I chose not to take photos because it would be bad for business for them.

Jamie and staff were extremely helpful. Fortunately my electrical issue was not major, so cost was painless and service was personable and quick.

My 1992 Chevy truck suddenly started surging and sputtering then die. After sitting awhile it would run again but not for long. I limped it over to Jamie's Auto Solutions. They fixed it, just like they have done before for me. A great family owned business. Good honest people. I will be back!

I ve had a 1995.5 Isuzu Rodeo 4wd 5 speed manual for 11 years. I bought it with 129k miles. I put a set of 32 x12.50 x15 mud terrains on it and have used it primarily as an suv I use to travel from my home 20 minutes east of Raleigh to the small town of Independence, Virginia where we own property in the Blue Ridge Mountains. For about 10 years the truck ran fine. All I ever needed was a battery, some synthetic oil changes and I changed all of the driveline fluids to Red Line full synthetic when I still had my own auto repair shop. I was a professional automobile technician in Honda dealerships from 1989-2008 when I opened my shop specializing in Honda, Acura and Toyota, Lexus. I was previously the top technician out of 24 techs in the Honda dealership in Raleigh. I was also one of the shop foreman for years. Including operating my own shop, I ve seen the good, bad and ugly of the automobile industry. I took medical retirement a few years ago. About a year ago my Rodeo stalled for my wife here at my house. I went outside and started it and it immediately died. I was recovering financially from some rather expensive repairs on my BMW 550i, my wife s 3 Series BMW and my son s Civic Si. The Rodeo got put on the back burner. Several months passed and I had the suv towed to a friend s shop. When it arrived they charged the battery and everything started and ran properly. Great, an intermittent failure. Those are typically very difficult to pin point and diagnose properly. I drove the truck weekly, but probably no more than 50 miles total. With the truck only having 141k miles, I risked it and drove the 200 or so miles to our property for Thanksgiving. My son drove it to the top of the mountain two times. It s basically a 2.5 mile logging trail. Most of the trail requires 4 lo. So 10 miles off road and on Saturday just as he was entering the state maintained gravel road the truck died. Obviously my intermittent stalling/no start problem was in a failure state. Without having any tools or even a D.V.O.M with me, I was at the mercy of finding a shop. Independence wasn t going to be an option. The town doesn t even have 1000 residents. I did some research on the internet and read reviews about Jaimie s Auto Solutions in Sparta, North Carolina. Monday morning I called ahead to make sure they d be comfortable working on such an old vehicle. They don t even have Isuzu dealerships in the United States anymore. The service writer / shop manager was professional and she even called the mechanic over to speak with me. I had my suv towed the 20-30 miles to the shop and they worked me into their schedule. I got a call early and Jaimie was actually looking at my Rodeo. He said it wouldn t start for him and they towed it into the shop. The next attempt to start it fired right up. An intermittent problem. Ugh. Mechanics want to fix cars, they don t need the maybe it will or maybe it won t fail type of issues. All I could do was come pick it up and see if it would make it back to Raleigh. I drove over the mountains in Sparta and 17.4 miles later the engine lost all power immediately. I was in Thurmond, North Carolina and had to wait a few hours for the wrecker. We followed the wrecker over the mountain and split ways heading back to Independence, Virginia. Before we even got back to our property Jamie called me with the news that I had a fuel pump relay that would fail intermittently. He said I owed him $6.00. I scrounged up all of the wrinkled $5 and $10 bills I could find. I only use my credit card for purchases and I know from being on the receiving end, credit card fees are high. I didn t want to charge 6 bucks and the shop rightfully deserves a diagnostic fee. The shop manager didn t even want to take my money. Jaimie found the problem quickly which I will tip my hat to him. Working on all different makes and models is much more difficult than specializing in a few. If six stars were available, I d give the shop 6 out of 5, but there s only a 5 star review.
