Took my car in three days ago for an oil change. Declined a walk through and told the receptionist who checked me in to just do whatever was needed. This morning my car doesn t start and there s a mound of blue corrosion all over my black connector. Called the shop got a rude receptionist and Colton I think was the General Manager s name. Useless, gaslighted me, justified it because I didn t want a walk through which mind you they didn t do the first time I was there, the second time they just asked if I wanted to replace two of my filters. And this third time will be my last. To top it off, on my invoice says maintenance free for the battery but accord to the GM that means checking the fluid or some crap which isn t needed for a newer battery? So they say the corrosion and chose to say nothing. Not even noted in their recommendations. We have a fleet of vehicles and will now choose another shop to take care of their maintenance. My car was the tester to see if this shop was consistent and thorough and this bad experience definitely outruled my two good ones. I take responsibility that I declined a walk through as it wasn t made clear that s what you re doing, but it is highly unprofessional and unsafe to let someone leave your shop with a battery corroded like that. That is a reflection on your work. I will be taking my car to be inspected today as clearly it was not properly serviced from my perception.

Took my car here to get an oil change now my car making a noise of course they goin to make it seem like it something on your end my car has never made this noise into I got my oil change and the guy gon say it's from the damage on my passenger side from when I hit a deer months ago but I NEVER heard no noise coming from my car into I got an oil change so all of a sudden 5 months later my car start making a noise after yall change my oil I'm pissed but I knew they want gon take the blame for they mess up

Excellent customer service. I took my car in for a NC state inspection (to get my car registered in North Carolina). I didn't get my car checked out, because the lady there noticed that my plates were out of state, and told me that I just needed to register it, that the 1st time you don't need an inspection.Will come back here in a year to get it inspected!

Save your money. Great people but overall deceptive experience. First express oil change location to make me get out of my car. Checking out, I showed a coupon found on the company s website however, the cashier said she couldn t honor it because they are privately owned. I then asked for any sort of discount since I purchased their most expensive package. Unfortunately, since they are a private business, they do not honor Military OR First Responder. Overall, nice employees but inconvenient and overpriced. If I could, I would give 2.5 stars.

Excellent service. From start to finish was less than 30 minutes. The service man was very thorough and took the time to explain everything that was done. We were able to sit in a nice patio area while we waited and even got a free car wash afterwards! Will be back for future car maintenanceService: Oil changeService: Oil change

Been a customer here for 3 years and my family and I won t be going back to patronize this business. We took 2 vehicles here. This happened on 7/15/23. My husband got into a shouting match with one of the young blood mechanics who was offended that my husband didn t say excuse me to him as we were leaving. Never mind that him and another coworker were somewhat blocking the only exit door, leaving the place to get to our vehicle. Whatever happened to the old saying the customer is always right . I highly recommend using somewhere else for your vehicle needs.

Been coming here for all 4 of my cars for the last 2 years. Great service on all makes and models from Kia, Ford trucks, Buick, and even Alfa Romeo. Other places have declined service on my Alfa because they say it's too hard, but not this Valvoline location!

I go here for the oil change and routine maintenance on my Corolla. The prices and service are good. Getting there earlier in the day is better if you plan to wait.

Came in for an oil change and there was no signage as to where to go. Cars where parked everywhere and it was very disorganized. I parked my vehicle and went inside to the office to see if someone could direct me where to go. There was no one in the office so I walked out to the garage and asked one of the technicians. They told me to pick the shortest line and pull behind another vehicle. I did this and shortly thereafter someone came over to my car shaking their head saying I couldn t park there. They said the line started on the side of the building even though there was no indication that s where i was supposed to go. There was little to no room to turn around so I had to make some tight turns and on the wet pavement one of my front tires slipped. I continued around the building and parked where the person had indicated. I then had yet a different person walk over to my vehicle telling me that I was endangering customers and employees because my tire had spun a bit when turning around. I just left at that point and won t ever go back. Completely unorganized operation and rude customer service.

Happy New Year, everyone, and with the new year comes my final trio of carwash reviews!As you may have seen recently from one of my newer reviews, I was recently at this business for an oil change (and they replaced my air filter too!) and as I mentioned there, you get a free car wash with each oil change. It was raining that day, so I decided to come back later.So over the weekend, I arrived back at Valvoline Express Care to cash in on my free car wash, and I was mighty impressed with the job it did!But first, a few notes: The wash is indeed free, but there's a slight upcharge if you decide to get the higher tiers of service. If you've read my other carwash reviews, you can bet your bottom dollar that I went for the $18 Ultimate Wash. It's possible that the freeness of the included wash credits you up to $10, as I paid $8 for an $18 wash.But hey, that's a HUGE discount that I absolutely LOVE!Another thing to keep in note is they have not just one, but TWO car wash cabins. You might think at first glance that they do that to speed up potential car backlogs, and while that would be an added benefit, the reason they have two is because they have both a touch-free wash without any brushes, the kind of machine that I've speculated might be the car wash of the future, as it's popped up in quite a few places recently, and they also have a regular, good ol' fashioned machine wash that has all the different spaghetti noodle brushes in the cabin!So over the weekend, I took my receipt and got in line for the classic touch carwash machine, entering my discounted code into the box. I did indeed receive the $18 Ultimate Wash, but there is also the $16 Platinum one, the $12 Supreme one, and the $10 Express one.I drove inside the cabin, placed my vehicle in park, sat back, and watched the show commence! I'm happy to say I had the same childlike awe towards this car wash as I do with many, MANY others. I will never not enjoy the spectacular color show that a wash like this entails!One round of washing, rinsing, colored suds, brushing, and spot-freeing later, I exited the cabin, and when I got a good once-over of my vehicle, I was mightily impressed at the work!If I had any complaints, it might be that the wash may have been just a tad, and I mean just a TAD, rough on the paint of one of the doors, but this was a superb use of a well spent eighteen dollars!Naturally, since there was an alternative washing service there, I returned today to try out the touch free car wash. The service tiers here are $10 for the Express, $12 for the Deluxe Wash, $14 for the Super Wash, and $16 for Extreme Shine With Hot Wax!Naturally, I chose the highest priced one. I made my selection and entered the cabin, once again treated to a wide array of different levels of water and accompanying colorful liquids sprayed on my vehicle, only this time with a much more barren apparatus, as this was touch free after all, so no brushes were to be found here.I haven't noticed any problems with my car yet, and neither wash left any visible water spots, so this was another $16 well, well spent!For the $16 Extreme Shine With Hot Wax wash, the sign says you get treated to an undercarriage wash, triple presoak, touch-free wash, Hot Wax, rain-x, triple foam, conditioner, spot free rinse, and the MaxAir dryer.In comparison, with the other one, for $18, you get a soft touch wash, spot free rinse, power air dry, wheel clean, ArmorAll Professional Clear Coat, ArmorAll Professional Triple Foam, rain-x, Black Magic Tire Shine, Bug Prep, ArmorAll Professional Extreme Shine Wax with Carnauba, and something called PJ's Tsunami.One other big difference between the two machines is that the touch and brush one is one of those that will have you drive out as the dryer blows, whilst the touch free machine has you remain inside the cabin as the dryer moves around and dries your vehicle.With all of the "car wash as a service" sort of places done, I only have TWO carwash places left, both of which will round out the Faraway Five!See you next time!

Given it was a Saturday I completely understand how busy they get so a wait is expected. However the technician at bay two was on his cell phone more than he was working. Due to this 3 cars in bay 1 and 3 were able to get there 40 minutes after us and get serviced and leave. The greeter moved the two cars behind me to bay 1 line and bay 2 line so we left. If you go on a Saturday expect to wait but avoid bay 2. I ll be going elsewhere for my car maintenance needs.

The customer service was great. The employees were friendly and nice. I would like to say thanks to Blake for being honest about my car not needing new brakes someone else would've taken advantage of my ignorance to automobiles. I will definitely go here again and I highly recommend Valvoline of Southern Pines to anyone with a vehicle.

I love PJ's Valvoline Express Care! I realize that may not be the most people describe the place they go for oil changes and repairs, but these folks are great. They're friendly, professional and the customer service is outstanding. But wait! There's more! Unlike most oil change places, they have a barista. So it's a place to get an oil change and a nice latte. There are a couple of very comfortable recliners, but unfortunately, I usually get there after they're taken, and I have to sit in a "lesser" chair. Seriously, though, this is the best oil change/repair place I've ever been to.

Super service. These folks know my cars and are always looking out for me. But, they don t try to sell me stuff that I don t need.Fast, quality oil change and other services. INCLUDING that annoying state inspection each year. Inspection takes 15 minutes and you re on your way.Solid, courteous people. Great service. You know the owners really care, as the team is very well trained and they ALWAYS thank me for my business.Congratulations on running a great business!

I'd give them 5 stars if they honored the online coupons that said their address but this place is the CLEANEST most classes up oil change establishment I have ever seen in my life and I'm not new. The marble floors were shiny and clean, they have leather chairs, a big screen TV and the most impressive, CLEAN restrooms I've ever seen in a public place that is not a 5 star restaurant or hotel. The staff is incredibly polite but I'm from Chicago so that seems to be the norm here in North Carolina. It was almost worth the high dollar price. I would go back just because it's as clean as it is. Why can't we have a place like this one in Chicago??!

Have had my oil changed several times at this location. Staff is always excellent. I really like how the technician will come out and speak with you about your vehicle. No up-selling like many places I've been before. Always in and out quickly.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

No stars, awful pretty much everything I go.I will NOT go back. The only decent thing about the place is a man named Branden who is always polite and willing to right the wrong. False advertising with coupons and nothing but complications everytime I go there. Forced to give one star to post

I got an oil change and inspection done at this location. When I left, my car was having a little trouble leaving first gear and it was spitting out smoke. I pulled over and called the office to let them know. They sent a tech out to take a look and he helped me get my car back to the shop. They redid my oil change and let me know what had happened. I appreciated their professionalism and their prompt service. As a part of my oil change I also got a free car wash. Pretty impressed and thankful they took care of things so quickly

Great experience, courteous & professional service. Had an oil change done & a car wash included. You can upgrade the car wash for an additional fee. They also sell tires if you are in the market for them. I returned with my second vehicle.

Moved to Pinehurst and was looking for a place to service my vehicle. PJ's came highly recommended from my neighbors. Brought my vehicle in early morning and was surprised how courteous and kind the staff had greeted me. Thus far they've shown a great organizational service and a well maintained business.

This was the best oil change experience I have ever encountered. The personal were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My oil was changed in a timely matter and Blake made sure I was comfortable during the wait. The receptionist was just as friendly and professional! They have my business for sure!!

Go for the car washes, premium wash, really depends on whos working it. Some are really good some just so so. The person running it depends on how good a job you get. The time before the tires got done and truck looked good, this last time the attendant didn't want to be there and I could tell a difference. Wish I knew their names

What type of place takes your car in for one job, does another, and tells you to go pay and leave ? At least give me a call and let me know you can t do the job rather than having me waste all day waiting at a coffee shop. Only go here if you re looking for an oil change. Place is a joke regardless.
