Rick and his team get five stars for customer service. They took my car in on short notice and gave me a fair assessment. I will definitely be a repeat customer at his shop.

If you are in Wilmington, Jacksonville or anywhere in between, Rick's is the right shop for you. I had a busted exhaust when I went in for an oil change at the dealership and was quoted $2400 for the repair. I recalled another experience at Rick's, getting my tie rods replaced, that was an overall great experience (as great as it could be while getting a car serviced) and decided to get a quote. I dropped my car off near the end of the day and was called the next day with a quote of $60 (note* this was a specialized quote for my specific problem) for a weld of the pipe and picked my car up by the end of that day. I wanted to wait a few months before posting this review, just to ensure the quality of the service, but I can assure you, it is top notch!

My family of six was traveling in North Carolina from Pennsylvania when our alternator died at 4pm on a Friday. Rick got us in right away and took care of us. It was a nightmare repair but they stayed late and still didn't charge us a crazy price! I would recommend Rick's repair to anyone.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I d give the crew at Rick s six stars if I could. We are in town for just a few days and lost the starter in our truck, I got lucky on a google search with Ricks being the first number to pop up! Had it towed in, they made some immediately for us, troubleshot and replaced the starter so we could be on our way fast and EXTREMELY FAIR on the price. I just can t say enough positive things about Rick and his team

Saviors! We had a nail in our tire as we set out to drive back to Maine after a vacation in the area. All four kids piled out of the car, Rick welcomed them in and had cartoons on in the waiting area. They fixed the tire and we were out with in 20 mins. Came out to the beach for a vacation. Car went dead and would not hold a charge. After a few phone calls I decided to take my vehicle to Rick s just to have it checked, they did a good inspection of the issue and sent me on my way. I felt like they really looked out for my best interest, and if I ever have any problems out here again, I will definitely go back to them. Awesome owner, awesome tech guys, really appreciated their service. From my experience with them, I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Highly recommend! We came to Topsail to go camping and basically coasted into town on prayers on a Sunday. Rick's was recommend to us by campground employees and also I liked the reviews. My husband barely made it to the shop Monday morning, when he pulled in, the passenger tire was basically on fire. The wheel bearings, cv joint and a bunch of other stuff had gone bad. The tire was barely hanging on. The staff at Rick's went above and beyond trying to get parts at the best prices and as quickly as possible so our vacation wouldn't be ruined. They also brought him back to the campground and picked him up when the truck was ready. Which saved us a lot of taxi money..We were very thankful they were good caring people, other places might have tried to take advantage of our situation and get us for everything possible. Hopefully we won't need to use Rick's when we come back. But, if so we would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Doesn't matter if you're a local or a tourist with trouble...this is the place to go. I'm very picky who I let touch my cars and the people at Rick's are not only knowledgeable but customer oriented still...and that's tough to find today. Great pricing too.

I will always give 5 stars to Rick's. Rick goes above and beyond for his customers. I always feel like I am being treated fairly (which is hard to come by at many auto repair shops) and that Rick and his team care about the work they do and the people they serve. The front office staff is always polite and very knowledgeable when I have questions. This is why I continue to go to Rick's for all my car needs.

Traveling from KY to NC for a wedding. My tire got a nail in the sidewall and required a new tire. They promptly ordered me a replacement and the pit crew put my tire on quickly!!! Rick was so friendly and helpful when we had a problem passing through the area, he looked at our vehicle, quickly ascertained the problem and a solution for us and pointed us towards a scrap yard on our way to our next destination. Because he hadn't "actually fixed anything" he didn't charge us a cent (maybe because we looked like a few semi-homeless travellers in our ancient campervan). Either way it was a pleasure to speak to him and if I ever had a problem in the same area again I wouldn't hesitate to call on Rick again!

I carried my old truck there for service for a rear main seal which they repaired with no problem. Additional parts failed during that time which they replaced as well. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and looked out for me finding the best parts at the best price. They took good care of my old truck. Definitely a 5 out of 5 would recommend to anyone looking for great service at a fair price.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Tires, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

We've used Rick's for 10+ years. He does great work at a fair price. He is very trustworthy and if there is ever a problem (rarely) he makes it right. He's a great guy and helps out in the community as well.

Super great place to get your car fixed or to just call for advice. They were able to get the parts I needed in quickly, fix my issue, and even offer a military discount. The pricing was really fair, and the lowest out of all the other places that I had checked in with. They even offered to pick me up from my apartment so I didn't have to walk back to pick my car up! Definitely plan on coming back for all of my future repairs.

Please take your vehicles here! They are honest and good people, not out for the money! We were there today for an oil change on both our cars, nothing major, and I wanted a tire rotation for mine as well. Easily could have been done and they could have charged me for it, but they came to me and told me that a rotation wasn't justified at this time (even though, miles-wise, they were due for one) because the front tires were in better shape than the back ones and they'd rather keep the good ones where they're needed the most. They also informed us that my husband's car was missing a power steering cap and told us where to find one, as well as let us know that his motor mount needed to be replaced soon and gave us info on where to find it. To go deeper, while we were waiting for our cars to be done, the gentleman who was helping us out was running from front desk to the bays, back and forth the whole time handling every customer with care and respect. A gentleman called in whose car was already at the shop because of something going on in the engine of his car, and I was surprised to hear the man running back and forth say, "I won't charge you for something I can't pinpoint and guarantee a fix for the problem." So even though he had already spent goodness knows how long searching to diagnose the issue, he didn't charge the guy a dime! The guy came to pick up his car before we left and on his way out, the other gentleman referred him to someone else who could look more deeply into the problem. Made me happy to hear that! Plus they give military discounts which is always appreciated. Definitely will be back here for repairs and maintenance. :)

We've been bringing our vehicle to Rick's for several months for everything from oil change to more serious repairs, like the time a bird decided to take out our radiator. The guys at Rick's are great communicators, very professional, honest and no hidden costs or ugly surprises (within their control of course... if they find a deeper problem during a repair or maintenance they are going to tell you). Most recently he figured out what the deal was with why our vehicle keys wouldn't reprogram. He wouldn't give up on finding out what the issue was. This shop is a lifesaver because we are a one vehicle family and so we were walking to the grocery, jogging to work, cancelling appointments and such without the vehicle. A solid, reliable mechanic like those at this shop make it possible to wear out our older reliable vehicle and get every last bit of life from it.We live about 70 miles from Rick's and have our vehicle towed or drive down for service. That should speak pretty loudly about this shop.Also, the guys in the office are very friendly. I appreciate that because sometimes I go in without my husband and I don't feel talked down to or treated like I'm dumb because I'm a woman.So if you go somewhere else and have a bad experience, just know you could have gone to Rick's and had a great one.(I found Rick's on Yelp. I don't know anyone who works here personally. My review was earned 1000%.)

Ricks repair service has always treated me well; I've taken my vehicles here for routine and complex maintenance. Rick is dedicated to providing quality service to Sneads Ferry and the Marines in the area. The shop and employees have been very fair and straight forward with all of our dealings.Thanks!

Normally I dread going to get my truck serviced, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here! I was told my truck could take a few hours which was understandable, but they called me within the same hour I dropped it off! Everyone was polite, and helpful. These people are clearly about quality service. I know where I will be going from now on. This is my new go to place for all our families car needs. Thanks so much guys!

I have been here twice. Both times very pleasant and everyone here makes sure you and you're vehicle are taken care of. Very long story short, I had my vehicle towed here from Marine Chevrolet in Jacksoville because they quoted me $1000 to fix my car and that I needed a new water pump. I had called prior to getting it towed and the gentleman on the phone was VERY helpful and CARING and made me feel so much better about my situation. I knew I was making the right choice.They gave me a ride home, at no cost, because they are awesome people. I had got there a couple hours before closing, and still was given a very prompt and timely call 9 am the next day. I picked my vehicle up 10:30am the same day, fixed. I did not need what Marine Chevy said I did. It was $235 vs what Chevy had quoted me. I saved almost $800. Ricks cares about you, your vehicle, and your wallet. They even quoted me and informed me of something I would need repaired in the future. I will take my car here anytime I ever have any issues. I would recommend them to anyone. Awesome experience, awesome service, awesome customer service. THANK YOU GUYS!!!

My alternator died on me in Jacksonville. I was taken to Rick's with a dead Honda Odyssey. I spoke with Rick and he stayed open past hours so I could arrive and talk to him yesterday evening. Before closing today he had my car ready to go and the charge was below everything I pulled up on line. I also called a couple service centers. (I'm 54) so I get it.Not only was his price the best. The people were friendly and positive.Nice...So I give 5 Stars...It worked out well for me and I'm back on the road.

My husband and I have been here multiple times, for things such as an oil change and state inspection, to flushing breadlines and replacing major parts under the hood. I have come here twice, on my own, and never felt intimidated and cheated like I have at other car repair shops in Jacksonville. Their prices are very fair and they explain to you what they are doing and why. Admittedly, I know nothing about cars and I never feel comfortable going to car repair shops. But, this place is great. They are honest, professional, hard working people!
