100% I do not recommend this place. Car was in for minor repairs. As you can see in the pictures. Other than the headlight, bumper and fender there were 2 small dents on both my front and rear door where the deer I hit swung around and caused further damage down the side of my car. this place has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ran WAY over the time they quoted me for repairs and not once did they call me to update me aside from telling me my car is ready and to come get it. I had to call every time. Not to mention they did work to my car that I did not authorize. They told me for some reason they needed to remove and replace things associated with my air-conditioning. FOR A HEADLIGHT REPAIR. when i ask them to explain why on 2 separate occasions, all I get is "we were working in that area" almost like it was rehearsed. The staff was very rude and i had to De-escalate from the very beginning when dealing with an employee, I'm pretty sure his name was Matt. No name tag for some reason. I am in the USAF and I honestly feel like I got this bad attitude from these employees because I was in uniform every time I interacted with them. These people take no pride in their job and if I had known sooner I would have went somewhere else. How can I trust they did a good job with everything when the most basic of things (The emblem on my bumper was not aligned properly)

DONOT RECOMMEND !I dropped off my car around mid October with front end replacement needed . Services was not completed until second week of January. Granted receiving the parts takes a while, but the work done at CarStar Auto in Smithfield NC was second rate, low quality. Parts were put on crooked, glue was left on the front and hood and now my windows constantly fog up. I am writing this review because, one would think after the ridiculous length of time it took for me to receive my car back, management would have made sure everything was done properly! I spoke with Tony constantly, asking him to please make sure everything is in place this time because I could not keep coming back due to their incompetence and negligence. My final pick up the casing around my rear view was hanging off and windows are still fogging. Unfortunately I may have to pay out of pocket, but I will be taking my vehicle to a Real auto shop that has a Real management and Skilled employees to fix these issues.

I dropped off my car to be repaired and added a mirror cap replacement. The staff was great and knowledgeable. The car looks Fantastic now! I'm 100% satisfied with the work performed and the time estimated to finish. I would recommend anyone needing body work or painting done on their vehicle to use Carstar of Smithfield!

This was my first experience working with a body shop. While my car was being worked on, I got frequent updates via text, which I appreciated. Work was also completed ahead of schedule. I did need to have some additional work done after the initial repair, but besides that, customer service was excellent and my car looked great after the repairs.

What time is extremely great? They are very insightful. They have explains to me. What needed to be fixed before it was fixed and when they found additional damage to things they fixed that as well. And everything was done through my Insurance Company and everything has gone smoothly. Hey, did it great job?

The staff of this location are beyond excellent. They went out of the way to help me when I was having trouble getting the rental car. Definitely unexpected. The body work was also great and looked brand new.

As in the past they did good work. Took awhile to fix but I think this is the norm for the work that had to be done. The auto seat buttons aren't working and we need to call them to fix, I am sure they will take care of it.

After what feels like months, but was only a few days, I got my Jeep back! Their team took amazing care of me and my car. I would highly recommend them for any service, but was lucky enough to have them handling a USAA claim after I got rear-ended. They let me pick up my car, knowing the check engine light was still on and said they couldn t be sure that it was because of the accident. I mean it wasn t on before the accident. Didn t even bother to look into it or check it and allowed me to just get in the car without even telling me they knew that the check engine light was still on.

Did a poor job of updating me as to what was going on with my vehicle. Could not even get in touch with them at times. My claims adjuster could not get through to them on various occasions as well which delayed the process and repairs. Just a week after I got my car back, my car has had major issues and they refuse to cover the damages, claiming that it had nothing to do with the accident. Did not have any issues with my car prior to leaving the car in their hands. So much for their 90 day warranty, it doesn t cover the major issues that I m now having with my car. All they care about is their money and not the people. Every response was, You are entitled to your own opinion. Would not recommend going to this company or seeing Mark.

I have not had a good experience. They have had my truck for 15 days, they have not even started the repairs yet. I was told it would be a 2 day job. The manager Tony has not been in contact with me and when I call them I get the run around. I will not be going back nor would I ever suggest this shop to anyone ever.

good people all around! can't say enough from the top to the bottom great place , if your cars totaled and you don't use carstar . well it's on you ! as for me in my household I'll choose a back to factory reset on my car anyway vs the off brand body shops

Carstar has been unbelievably great to deal with. My car was hit by someone else, and they've taken care of it. They did two of my cars. Georgia deer don't care that you are from NC. Both cars badly damaged. I will not even consider taking my vehicles anywhere else. Carstar it tops. This company was very professional and friendly. They made the process very easy and had the work done when promised as well as gave me regular updates. They also did a few extras at no additional cost which was unexpected and made me feel like a valued customer. Great work and craftsmanship. Zero trash in paint or clear coat. Price was reasonable and the turn around time was good. Will use them again.
