I give them no starts. The day I picked the car up it was very cloudy so I didn't realize how nasty the car was until I actually drove it home and it smelled like an ashtray. I called and said I needed to return the car because outside of it being dirty, the USB didn't work-hence no way to charge a phone, AC was leaking water down the vent onto the middle console, the wipers were old and scraped the window. The next morning when I went back I only wanted a clean car and they were not willing. The manager said "Well we asked you yesterday if you wanted to go look at the car" before you rented it and that is a hard lesson for me as I would have never ever imagined that they would provide such horrible vehicle.

SE Auto, to locals (People who reside in Sanford) is popularly known. Because, the small house on the corner of, Chatham and Wicker St. is where the Cheap, but very dependable vehicle batteries are sold. The lot to the left of the battery hut is the "Car Rental" business. They have new and used rentals, for a reasonable price. I would consider them the best place to rent a vehicle (Even over Enterprise). A $100 dollar deposit and $32.00 a day, will put you in the seat of a very nice automobile. Don't just take my word for it. Mossy on down there and check it out for yourself. I "Guarantee" that you won't be disappointed .

This place was completely closed down when I called the number I answered and said that they took over the number and that Southeast batteries was not affiliated with Southeast auto and that they closed down two weeks ago

Went in today to try and rent a vehicle and the lady at the desk declined my ID because it wasn t a Sanford address (I have a Fayetteville address on my ID so it s not like it s an out of state ID or anything of that sort)Considering it s for a family event, I go in with my family member who has a valid ID WITH A SANFORD ADDRESS, as she stated was needed, who would be driving family members to and from their hotels and our event, to rent a vehicle for him now seeing as it was still necessary I go in because I have the funds , she declined him as well for my association!! We aren t buying tobacco or alcohol here. Both are over the age of 27, both have valid ID and current insurance yet a quick and rude dismissal from the petite older brunette at the small dingy desk.0/5 if I could rate that low. Save your time and energy! Or come dolled up to the nines! They seem discriminatory for absolutely no reason.Apparently locals aren t allowed either

Best place for inexpensive batteries ever. Batteries for less that $40 and mine have always last 4 years or more Compare that to over $200 at Advanced or AutoZone and you could get 5 or 6 batteries for the price of one at chain automotive shops! If the battery has a problem, they quickly replace it, no questions asked. Also, their auto rentals are half that of Enterprise. They are very friendly and helpful. In addition you can support local business. What more could you ask for?

Horrible. The customer is responsible for spending their own money and cleaning/washing the car. What type of customer service is this? This company has convinced me they do not want to leave the customer with a service of ease and appreciation.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The first vehicle I reserved was very dirty stains all over the backseat! dirty vehicle.I was asked if I can upgrade the price and I wasn t able to do that, I picked out another vehicle within the same price range that vehicle had poor maintenance, bad brakes, very loud noise squeaking riding down the road. I will not recommend this places to anyone.

So I couldn t rent a car because we sat in there for about 2 hours just to find out she couldn t rent a car then when asking the person behind the desk was told if the ID was updated she could rent one while the lady is talking about a car they have for sale that is overpriced this place is a joke and $17, 30 minutes later rejected once again after following the rules that were given by this person then I said I ll just let someone borrow my car and I ll just rent one for the day to get to work and said they can t rent me one because it would be for someone else which makes no sense at all I explained the situation asked for someone of competence to no avail and of course I couldn t speak to a manager oh and no corporate number so I will be posting this review everywhere possible I was recommended from a family member but let them know the situation and we will no longer be coming to this place review will be on yelp and anywhere else possible as well just ridiculous fyi don t waste your time or money read the reviews on this place it s a trend here

Vanessa Martin is so nice as were the rest of staff. The business has a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. I was attended to immediately. My rental was super clean inside and out. Thank you Vanessa Martin.Highly recommend.

Will not return -ever. I have been a customer here before and never had an issue. I encountered an employee whom I ve never had any interactions with. Her customer service skills weren t even mediocre at best. She was extremely rude. No hello, welcome. Very short and crude. It got to the point where I took my deposit off of the table and went straight to Enterprise. The owner was standing right there and never reprimanded her so in short, I assume they condone this behavior. It felt as if they believe you don t have a choice, therefore we can treat you as we please. If this is a business, you treat customers with some type of decency. I try to support small businesses as frequently as possible, but I WILL NEVER BE A PATRON OF THIS BUSINESS AGAIN.

I bought a ranger truck from here. Service was awesome. The truck had low mileage. I still have the truck 8 years later now. No problems with it. Im hoping to buy another truck from here. I don't know if they still sell vehicles anymore or just rent them. I definitely would buy another vehicle from here if they still are selling vehicles. I hope someone from there will contact me.

If you value honest opinions . then just save you time money and energy there s a enterprise right down the road and another local owned car rental place named car hunters the employees are rude , the cars are dirty and HORRIBLY mis managed. And if you do choose to rent from them then inspect the car THOROUGHLY please don t sign anything without properly inspecting the vehicles yourself because once they get you to sign that contract it s really like signing a deal with the devil

I honestly loved my experience here. They were patient with me throughout the process of financing my first car. Alisha was very informative and real with me. I couldn t be happier with the car I got. And if you re looking for something nice and affordable, this is the place to go!

Save yourself time. Very rude. Never asked what service was needed. Acted to busy for any more customers. Come running out to tell can't help you and how your in the way. No worries. There are 10 other business out there that are happy to help and do it with a smile and a thank you right around the corner!

Some members of the staff needs to be more professional and understand that every person is different. They have a service they offer to the community and they should want to offer good customer service. If it was not for the manager speaking up, I would have taken my business elsewhere.

We used the battery shop here, and my friend received the right battery that fit the needs of his vehicle, plus a discount for bringing in his old battery. They instructed him on how to install it - we ran into no problems because of it. Friendly service from the interaction I heard, plus we were in and out quickly. Because my friend was very satisfied with this establishment, and I was vicariously, I gave 5 stars.

Great customer service... fast service ... was in and out in no time... the rental just got handed in so they didn't have time to clean it... which is not really a big deal to us... we sanitized wiped and sprayed everything... We will def rent from here every time...

Car had an awful smell in it. Was not told about their policy where the rental agreement cannot be shortened until I was very deep into the paperwork process. Had I known beforehand I would not have rented, but I had no choice because by that point I had appointments to keep, so I paid for three days that I did not use. Will not go back.

Unprofessional , very rude , I will not rent from here again save your time & money...when I got the car it was dirty & had mechanical issues ..I brought it back exactly how I got it & i had got it washed an everything & they still charged me 35$ out of my deposit even though the car was clean they still found a way to charge me more money....it's a money Hungary place you can tell by the workers they have working NEVER AGAIN..go elsewhere please !!!!

Bought my car from this place a few years back. Got a good price on it and have had no major issues or breakdowns. This place is great, the people are friendly and welcoming. I go in for a few services every now and then and the staff is always able to help me.

I buy my batteries there like I have for years now with great, friendly service as always! A new battery with a 2 yr warranty at $75 which most of these batteries have last up to 5yrs!

I have been trying to rent the dodge caravan they have for over a week. They tell me they cant reserve it unless it's on the lotIt was due in today and I called andalready had a reservation on it nut the van wasn't in yet.thats twice it was rented out from u nderme dont know what their problem is but I will never rent from them again

1st rental had blood stains on the roof of the car, it looked like a crime scene. When I waited for the rental, a man was sent out to "clean" the car, but I was far from clean and they try to charge you 36$ if they think you didn't clean it. Second time (out of desperation because there was no others and my job required travel) I paid close to 300$ for a little more than a week for a car that was a hot mess! The finder looked like it would fall off and second, there was some kind of liquid in the e-brake area(tea or soda) that had congealed and 3, yes 3, previous rental slips from different customers. When I bring this thing back, I am threatened to wash it or get charged 36$. This car was in 100% better, cleaner condition than when I rented it and I have to go wash it. Isn't that what you pay them for? Enterprise NEVER made me wash a rental and I have never needed to spray a Honda roof with bleach to make sure I don't catch anything from the DNA left in this car. Enterprise never rented me a 2005 Nissan salvaged neither!

Rating a star due to them no longer renting to Lillington residents. I've rented from them before so this was very upsetting to hear. Especially since Lillington/Mamers is right next to Broadway.

Alright place to buy or rent a vehicle. Nice friendly people who work at southeast auto, ask for (Samuel Headen) he will hook you up. Prices are great on rentals. Only down fall is they want you to wash an vacuum out the car upon returning it. SMH My first time renting a car from them an that was the only part that got to me. I can understand putting the gas back in the car but washing the car an vacuuming it out. That! I will not be doing again! So back to Enterprise rentals I go!
