Locally owned mechanic shop, the owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I brought in a Honda CR-V for new brake pads, rotors, and calipers in both sides in the front. Plus a break line needed to be replaced. I dropped it off mid day Monday and picked it up Wednesday at closing. So it was a 2 day turn around on an extensive break job. That two days included the owner ordering the parts, waiting for them to arrive, and doing the work. He anticipated a one day turn around but Tropical Storm Fred hit and delayed the delivery of necessary parts by a day. I got a lot of work done, for a fair and relatively inexpensive price. This guy is awesome because he is friendly, fair, honest, effective, and efficient. I highly recommend this local business!

Dustin was extremely helpful, he came to us on the side of the road to look at our car when it wouldn t start. After we had our car towed to his shop he called several places to help us get our car back home at the cheapest price. Driving home from TN to SC on Sunday, and my van experienced major belt failure (new belt, just put in 4 weeks ago). Somehow I managed to make it off the road safely and was told to go to C&D. They were AWESOME. They fixed the car, found the real problem (caused by the shop that had done the work a month ago) and fixed that as well, and got me back on the road late Monday after an all-day session with my vehicle. Their prices were fabulous, they explained everything they did, and they did everything to make me feel welcome despite having to hang around in their shop all day while they tackled this. Its a rare thing to find people who get to the true problem, and not just fix the symptoms. C&D, I will be back and this time, with an appointment!

Couldn't be happier with Dustin and C&D. My wife and I were driving through Saluda on our way to Indiana, when our power steering went out. The repair shop back home had improperly installed the power steering hose, but Dustin was able to track down a replacement and have us back on our way the next morning. And it was 4th of July. Top notch customer service, excellent mechanics, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to help their customers (even a guy who is just passing through and unlikely to bring repeat business). Would recommend this shop to anyone in the area, I just wish I could find someone half as good back home.

Our vehicle broke down with a bad bearing on our way from Wisconsin to SC with our family. We found C&D Auto Repair on Google as we exited into Saluda, NC. We were met by Justin and his crew who quickly diagnosed our problem and repaired our vehicle getting us back on the road to our destination the same day. He even took us downtown for the afternoon and picked us up when our vehicle was ready. Our experience was better than expected from C&D Auto Repair, pricing was fair and would highly recommend them. It was a pleasure.

Broke down on I26 about a mile from his shop and had it towed to his shop. He found the issue and repaired it for a very fair price. Would recommend.

I ran into issues with my transmission in N.C on my way from FLA to ME and Dustin helped me out by relearning the cvt transmission computers and informed me of a serious issue with my transmission. Did I mention he helped me when he was closed ? If it weren t for his kindness, honesty and expertise, I would not have made it home or known about the seriousness of my problem. Now at least I have a head start on replacing the transmission before it fails and leaves me stranded somewhere!Service: Transmission

I was on my way home to Asheville yesterday, (Sunday), and started having car problems. I pulled into the Triangle Stop in Saluda and when I went to inquire if they knew anyone that could look at my car and help me they immediately called Dustin of C&D. Within 10 minutes Dustin arrived and helped me get a temporary fix to get home - he did not want to charge me for his time and it made me feel so good. I am having C&D to do the proper repairs and will not let anyone else take care of my car again - Thank You Dustin and Curtis!!!!!

We have been going there for years! Dustin the owner has gone out of his way to help me and my family. He came to our house at 8pm when my car died at the end of our road. He found a sensor was bad and went to drove to the store to get the part. He fixed it the same night! He saved our family about hundreds of dollars and a costly tow bill! First experience went from$575 to $625, with no phone call.This Clutch, pressure plate was done and my 1 transmission mount was bad and they didn't address it. I told them something was loose in the mountings. So in March (2018) I need 2 new motor mounts and TRANSMISSIONSIONMount to the tune of. $360.00.And they opened my radiator pet cocks and all my new antifreeze drained out.ALL Justin is interested in is!$$$$$$$.... not customer satisfaction....BOO to CDsAuto rip off...never use them again...Not honest andmoney hungry...no more.

We were in a pinch and needed a new battery right away. He had one ordered and in the shop in an hour and even drove to our broken down car to install it. Very affordable, so we tipped him for his trouble to come to us!

The guys here are extremely friendly and helpful. It was by (bad?) luck that my car broke down nearby during a roadtrip, but they went out of their way to get me back on the road. In fact, because my car was under warranty they directed me to the nearest dealership and made arrangements with them to get the car sorted including a free tow.

I was so glad to find this auto shop after I broke down going up the mountain...they were very friendly and great with the diagnostic of my car problem.i recommend Dustin as a great mechanic. He kept me informed the whole time what was going on with my car. -

Shortly after having work done on my car by a garage in Spartanburg, I was traveling through Saluda when the engine suddenly died. I called C&D Auto to check out my vehicle. After towing it back to their shop, Dustin called and explained what he had found. Apparently the mechanic in Spartanburg had left a shop rag inside my engine causing major damage. Dustin offered to call the mechanic in Spartanburg to explain his findings and make arrangements for the vehicle to be towed back to Spartanburg so that the garage here could honor their repair warranty. After 4 months of haggling over a resolution with the Spartanburg mechanic, they finally agreed to a new engine at no cost to me. I thank Dustin for his honesty and integrity in his initial assessment of the problem and also for his time and effort in dealing with the Spartanburg mechanic so that I could have my vehicle repaired. Needless to say, I ll no longer be using the garage in Spartanburg; I ll be taking my vehicles to C&D Auto in the future!

There are not enough words in the English language for me to be able to say how much I appreciate this shop. My two college kids were stranded on the interstate in NC on the way back to TN on a SUNDAY evening. This shop went above and beyond the call. They called all over the place to finally obtain a fuel pump on Sunday night, then worked into the wee hours on Monday morning to get my kids back on the road. Not only that, they were kind enough to provide transportation to a local hotel and convenience store so that my kids could get something to eat. The charges were more than reasonable under the circumstances, and I'll forever strongly urge ANYONE in this area that needs car service to come see this shop. Dang good folks. I just can't say it enough. This place is the real deal. My kids were blessed to have broken down close to these guys. Thank you SO very much!!!!

Broke down while traveling. Brought the car to them Monday afternoon.They diagnosed the problem (cooling system), repaired it, and had me out of there the next morning. Charges were very reasonable. Thanks for all your help, Paul!

Ever since they opened, C&D has always been fair and HONEST! Their fees are great and are prompt with repairs. Two professions you gotta have trust with, health care and auto care. You can trust these guys.
