Great Subaru specialist that helped me out on my LL Bean 3.0L edition with leaky valve cover gaskets, and replaced the oil cooler line that was rusty due to age. Very professional , and highly recommend!Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Wonderful shop. I went to them because another shop could not figure out why my car was making a certain noise. They suggest I go to the dealer and have it looked at. I decided to give Higgins a shot. I called and Kevin said come on over. I described the noise and left him the keys. He called next morning letting me know it was a simple fix. Here I was worried because the last shop said it sounded like a transmission issue. This will be my new place for all my repairs on the Outback!! Great Folks here y'all. Oh for crying out loud, you will never find another mechanic like Kevin. The Dude is an angel from heaven. He and and the pretty young gal who turns wrenches with him get it right the first time, every time. When he gives you the bill you will be shocked at how low it is so by all means chuck him and the gal some extra $$$ to let them know how valuable they really are.

I want to share our experience with this shop. First of all, I researched places around our area in Mooresville and quite frankly could not find a place other than the dealer to service the Subaru, plus the prices were outrageous (talk about highway robbery) since we found Higgins, we have been coming here to service my son s Forester. All the work done has been performed to highest standard. Kevin is truly a gifted Subaru mechanic. If you are flexible with your schedule, then it s worth the wait. Kevin is in high demand these days so be sure to give yourself at least 2+ weeks for the work to begin. We are absolutely happy with the work and reasonably price for repairs. Also all the parts are OEM Subaru so you get all the warranty benefits. We now have all our Subarus serviced here and have had no issues at all. We are glad we Googled Higgins and thanks to the reviews we read and feedback we were not disappointed. We do not mind driving 50+ minutes one way to get the vehicle serviced knowing the job it s going to get done right. Now that s what I call a piece of mind.

I have used these folks since I bought my Subaru two years ago. They are extremely honest and upfront. No gimmicks. I totally trust them to work on my car, and know that it is an honest, friendly environment to work on my Subaru. I would highly recommend them. I am much more comfortable taking my car to them, much more than a dealership!

Kevin put a new clutch kit in my 2017 WRX. Excellent work using OEM parts and a much better price than the dealership. He knows his stuff. Will definitely take my car to him for any future service.

Small shop but Kevin knows what he's doing. Had a new performance clutch and a few other things installed. Dropped my car off first thing in the morning and had everything done same day. Great place, will definitely be going back for any future work I need done.2017 WRX

I've been to Higgins a couple times and have not received anything except for honest service and a very transparent experience with regards to my 2001 Subaru Outback. The rates are more than reasonable. Mr. Higgins runs his shop with a no-nonsense style that I suppose could seen brash to people over the phone but they know their stuff and aim to keep your car on the road rather than in the shop.

Highly recommend Higgins Automotive-Subaru in Salisbury. Professional. Timely. Fair pricing. Quality work. Had our 2012 Outback towed to Higgins on a Monday morning. He had the problem diagnosed within a couple of hours after receiving the car. Called to inform me and get permission to proceed with repair. Car was ready next afternoon. Replaced valve body and all trans fluid. Running like a top again! Thanks!

Deserves zero stars. Brought my Legacy in there for a no power steering issue. Judging from my cars symptoms, I told them I thought it was the rack and pinion. The guy looked at the car and called me saying it s the power steering pump because it looked like the rack had been replaced because it wasn t a stock rack and pinion on the car. He said part and install would be $175 for a used pump. Plus fluids. The next day I get a call saying it s $395. Told him that s not the price I was quoted and he said the $175 was just for parts. After arguing we settled for $380 if I brought in cash that day. Brought the cash and picked up the car and there was still no power steering. Went in to go get the guy working and brought him out but the power steering was working when he was looking at it. Go figure. The next 3 days the power steering would work sometimes and not work other times. Until today I noticed smoke coming from under the hood. Pulled over and looked and power steering fluid was covering the engine. Called the shop and the guy told him what happened and he said well the pump was fine when we put it on, must be the rack and pinion. I told him that s what I said when I brought it in! He said he can replace the pump again but if it goes bad again I d have to buy either a new rack or have mine rebuilt since it s right hand drive. I spent a lot of money on this issue and I m back exactly where I started 3 days ago. I spend all day driving this car for the mail at low speeds and need power steering. I will never go back here and highly recommend anyone else stays away.

Took my Forester XT in for an oil leak and A/C repair. Oil leak was fixed and A/C was fixed faster than I had imagined. Kevin even worked late into Saturday to get my car back to me. Standup guy and honest mechanic in my experience

Just had my subaru repaired here.Great experience, very knowledgeable and explained in detail about all that was done to the car. We just dropped off my husband's Subaru Legacy GT around 4:45 yesterday afternoon for A/C work. Kevin, the Subaru mechanic, called me by 7:30 pm telling me what the problem was & it was fixed. I picked up the car this morning and the A/C works perfectly now!

Best Subaru repair shop around. Honest, knowledgeable, and do their best to save customers money. People bring their cars to Higgins from Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, etc., because of their reputation!

I took my 2.0 WRX for a rebuild. He said it didn't need it. I was so happy. Paid for a clutch and cleaning up heads etc. I put it back in the car and it's got a run bearing. When I came back to him, he was't prepared to fix it without billing me for what he already did. That's dishonest and not taking responsability

Had Mr higgins fix my clutch and flywheel and not only did he fix it but he did it fast as heck. Best subaru mechanic around. Price was super good too.

Dealership wanted $700 to replace leaking power steering pump. Higgins replaced an o ring and fixed the leak, for $25.

The guy said he would have me a set of tires ready by Friday and a fuel filler. Walk in and they are just sitting down doing nothing and they don't have my stuff ready for me and they had a week to prepare it. Lazy and don't seem to know what they are talking about couldn't answer simple questions
