Salesman David Hill was very nice and didn't try to sale me something I didn't. Was patient and polite and gave me time to decide for myself. I strongly recommend Cloninger to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. I purchased both, a used truck and a new car in the same day.

Edit: Nathan the service manager, gave me a call after leaving the review. He apologized, offered to reimburse me for the gas money, and explained that he s aware of and working on the problems with the service department. I m at peace with the outcome and appreciate him reaching out to me to remedy the situation.Garbage service. Worst that I ve ever had at any business. Brought my truck in because the sunroof wouldn t close, was told it d be done by the end of the week. Had to chase them down over and over for a month after each of their estimates were untrue and no updates. I live an hour away and finally was told that it was finished, so I went to pick it up but they hadn t calibrated the sunroof and it would immediately open back up when you press the button to close it. Mind you that without the warranty that I bought, I was told that this would be a 5k fix. So I wasted 2 hrs worth of a drive, and a good bit of gas money to have my wife bring my f250 over to drop me off. They said that they would give me a rental so I asked Kevin Nguyen if they could give me a mustang as one (since I was looking at trading the truck in for a performance car) and he decided to be rude about it when I asked him politely if he could at least ask. The only good things they did are: the service manager gave me a free rental and didn t charge me for the gas that I used, (which should be expected given the circumstances) and when I spoke directly with the guy quoting the time frame about the misquoting, he apologized. I ve personally spent 55k here on vehicles and me, my wife, and parents will never be coming back.Edit: Nathan the service manager, gave me a call after leaving the review. I feel like they ve made things right on their end.

My recent purchase was the easiest car buying experience I've ever had! I live 2.5 hours away and was able to do everything by phone without any problems. Thank you Jamie, Kenny, Bill, & the delivery guys for such an awesome experience! My family & I are so grateful and really enjoying our new ride!

Axel was absolutely wonderful. He was very professional nice funny and personable. The manager driving my Bronco back and forth home was very nice as well. The manager that sit at the desk in the front that wheels and deals. I heard everything. He however is an ignorant rude disrespectful and condescending jerk. Just because I come in there to get a quote for my 2 vehicles to see about trading them in and staring the process, he asked how I was getting home since they owned the vehicles now. I simply stated I didn t sign nothing they are still my vehicles. I will be driving my vehicles back home with me. His people skills lack everything. I heard how ignorant he spoke to Axel. Very sad if that s how you treat your employees. Axel remained polite and professional, I give him credit. If he would smile I think it would hurt him. I walked passed him when I came into pick up my vehicle I said hi he looked at me and walked past me. The detailing on the Bronco was not done very well. All in all I m happy with the Bronco itself.

Stopped in this week after seeing a transit van I was interested in online. Axel with sales was so kind, professional and easy to work with! Cannot say enough great things! Bill handled our finance and again, made the process painless. Low pressure, super nice and very knowledgeable. Overall highly recommend Cloninger ford in Salisbury to anyone looking for a positive and efficient car-buying experience.

Brought my vehicle in for door latch replacement per a recall. Had a 745am appointment and so dropped my car off and went to work. Went all day without any kind of update despite signing up for text messages and giving two phone numbers. Finally at 430, worried I would need to arrange a ride to work for the next day I called in. After getting hung up on once and then bounced to 3 different extensions I was told that my vehicle would be ready in 30 minutes. I still didn't get a confirmation message till 530 at which point I went to get the vehicle. Now the rear passenger door always shows open and the internal lights won't go off. Because of how late I got notice the vehicle was ready the service department was gone by the time I got there. I tried to get a sales person to get me an appointment for first thing in the morning but apparently they can't do that. So someone from this dealership ignored the door alarms, parked my vehicle, signed off on it, and went home. Now there's nothing I can do but let the battery die or pull out fuses to get the lights off. If they needed more time to get the job done they could have just told me. Instead I got no communication, no help, and my car issue is worse than when I dropped it off. I will never bring my vehicle back to these people no matter what. A complete lack of integrity, communication, and skill. There's no reason for something like this to happen except total apathy. Don't buy or get service here, they will leave you literally out in the cold.

I ve been getting my Ford edge serviced with this location since my big move nearly two years ago and always had a wonderful experience, so it was only logical that when my lease was almost up to go check out my options with the location I trusted the most and I was not disappointed whatsoever. I came in ready to purchase my leased vehicle but was open to the idea of my other options. Tony took his time and showed me vehicles one by one, gave me all the breakdowns and made sure the one I was leaning towards had all the options I needed. Tony got me into a NEW Ford edge for less than my leased edge would have been that was already three years old and had over 25k miles on it. I believe the person who helped me with all the finance details was Billy at the other building in Toyota and he was wonderful also! This location will always have my business and I will always recommend them to friends and family. Thank you again!

The vibe of this place was so relaxed, there was no pressure and we were made to feel like home right away.Working with management team and our sales person Kenny was a ton of fun, no games no pressure at all.The test drive for my new Mach 1 was super fun and it was aa great buy and i am happy to have my new baby sitting at home.

I normally don't write reviews, but due to my experience I felt the need to warn others to steer clear of this dealership.. 100% do not recommend buying a vehicle here or getting any service done. They do not care about the customer unless they are making a sale. This starts at the top, down to sales and to service. I started having problems less than two weeks after purchasing an F350 and it was the worst car buying experience I have ever had due to multiple lies and poor service.

Poor experience overall. No follow through after the sale. At delivery the vehicle was dirty and had no fuel. Had to follow the sales person to the gas station so they could put fuel in. Found out after the purchase that they only had one key FOB. This costs about 400$ to replace. Said they would look into trying to help me get one but never did. Right rear passenger window not working (found that out when I got it home). I would not go back.

Service has been getting better and better. I have had the best service with Cloninger if you need anything done make sure you ask for Cody Dangerfield. He is very honest and he will do what he can to help you. You cant find this kind of people now in days.

I was very pleased with my experience at this location! First time car buyer and Ryan was amazing with answering any questions, helping me through the process, and attentive to what I was looking for while keeping it in my budget! Ryan and KJ worked patiently and positively well over what any of us were expecting with the car inventory and financing to get me in the car I wanted! I am very happy with my purchase and so glad I went to Ryan for my first purchase!

I normally say they good. Ashley was who I worked with But the service department was not updating me on anything until the day they told me it was finished bothered me.I called over and over they told me hey it will be finished at the end of the day I will call you. Never got a call. Remind you I brought my truck in for a water pump. And I was thinking about a trade. But then they say o well it might be the motor. After that. ( I knew it was only a water pump I took it to a a different shop first.) and I call the next day to check. And she say o well I forgot and have no updates but I will let you know in 2h what s all going on. No call back and I call over and over because I got to be in out of state later that day. It got so bad my mom had to go check for me seeing by this time of 3 days without contact. I was out of state in NV. So I call back and ask for the manager. And they say he will call me about everything in about 3h and no call at all.. and finally they send a text 1 or 2 days later saying it s ready. Like ok but what did you work on or fix. And I get home get my truck and was like I will never go back. That is horrible communication and that is key in this kind of business.

I purchased a Ford Expedition this summer and after a short time of having it the transmission was shifting weird and jerking. I also found that there was a water leak somewhere causing the carpet on the passenger side floorboard to be wet. I brought it in and was treated as if I was inconveniencing them. Of course they couldn't replicate the transmission issue and they said the water leak was fixed. I washed my car and once again the carpet was wet in the same place. I brought it back in and was told once more it was fixed. Of course Melanie acted like it was bothering her that I brought my car in and she was quick to point out that it wasn't Cloninger that was fixing my car and was an outside person. However this individual was hired by Cloninger to provide a service so in my opinion they are representing Cloninger. I brought my vehicle in again due to the water leak not being fixed and was told they didn't know what the issue was. The gentleman documented on the paperwork provided to me that I should avoid car washes and that he took it to a car wash and was unable to replicate the issue. I called the company they contract with who advised me my vehicle was never taken to a car wash to try and replicate the issue and that due to not knowing where the issue was coming from I should avoid car washes just to prevent any issues. I have also tried contacting someone to obtain copies of my documents from my vehicle purchase as the thumb drive I was provided with that supposedly had my documents on it will not work. The ONLY person that has treated me with any decency and treated me like a valued customer was the shuttle driver who was kind enough to give me a ride home after the last time of dropping off my vehicle. They blew my phone up trying to get my other vehicle in to trade, they were fine with cashing the check for this one but refuse to stand by their vehicle and hide behind the fact they use an outside vendor for repairs. They also refuse to return calls or emails regarding any other concerns. Piss poor customer service.

Don t ever buy a car from this dealership, the car I got was used which is ok, but it wasn t even clean right, there still food and sticky substance on the cup holders in the back seat, my front window has a little crack and they were supposed to fix it and I never heard back from them. My 30 days tag is about to expired and I can t get a response about where the tag is. I should had gone to carmax, I been buying cars from them for over 17 years and I have never had problems like this.

Took my partners car in to fix a recall issue in the door on the driver's side. First off they had multiple number to contact us, and we had to call 3times to ask about how the fix was going. When someone finally answered they said we were good. The door that needed to be fixed was but the passenger side door was messed up when we got the car back. Now the sensors aren't reading the door as shut and the lights won't turn off. Why let someone leave when you knowingly messed up the other door, that wasn't supposed to be worked on?Over all very sketchy and we won't be back.One dealership employee out side while we tried to figure it out and he was very nice all things considered.

This company is only about filling their bank accounts not people! Buy somewhere else. Their word is meaningless and if you want to overpay for a vehicle then go to this dealership. I always dread going to purchase a car and this dealership just made it even more evident. The experience started great with Dwayne and then when trying to purchase a vehicle instead of wire they wanted me to write a check or charge it, Finally convinced them only wiring funds they did bring the car to me, told me I had 72 hours to trade in or return the vehicle and they would give me equal or lesser value exchange for a different car. I will take responsibility for not knowing that sister companies can't exchange vehicles and have to purchase them. I happened to see a better vehicle that I liked on their website, called Dwayne, and asked about it. The car was in a different location and couldn't be exchanged the vehicle ended up paying processing fees not once but twice and David stated he would talk with his manager to see if he could transfer the oil changes to the new vehicle no phone call was returned. They talk a big game but their word is just lies over and over again. Instead of making a customer satisfied they upcharge and make things difficult. I will be accountable for the fact that I did change my mind about the vehicles and didn't realize the whole process of trading vehicles and their 72-hour return policy, but they could have made it better and not stolen my money. The only good part is I did get a vehicle that I wanted even though paying processing fees again. I give the one star to Dwayne. The Cloninger company has zero stars for just talking and not backing it up with actions. They are not there for the customer they are there for their greedy pockets. Stay away from this place, Go somewhere else more honest and about customer satisfaction.Update: called per their request to make things right and left message for manager to call back . No surprise no call back this company sucks stay away go somewhere else with your business!

Cloninger Ford March 2 2023Appointment with the Water Doctor (3rd party service) truck had in cabin condensation on windshield and all other windows. WD said that the 3rd brake light was the problem so I authorized him to fix the problem at a cost of $311.00. His workmanship was sloppy and did not work and kind of made it worse on Saturday 4th of March at 7am the windshield was soaked with condensation so I took it back to get fixed by Ford at 8am same day and was informed that I had to make an appointment for the following Thursday for the WD to repair it again. At this moment I wasn t pleased with Nick Burris request and at this time I did not comprehend that Ford was not responsible for the 3rd party work. In any case Nick was willing to appease me an made an appointment for the coming Monday to have it fixed. Now Monday I had the opportunity to work with Melanie Purser again and it was at this time in our conversation she made me realize that Ford could not repair the work of the 3rd party, I finally seen the . So the coming Thursday I had a 9:45 appointment with the WD but they did not get to the shop until after 1pm. Tiffany Bunton was kind enough to get me a ride with Stan to my house around 11am so I could go to work. Nick called me near 1:15pm to inform the WD was working on the truck and this time they broke the housing and had to have a new one from Ford at there cost. Im am grateful of them honoring there work and correcting the problem. As of 3-10-23 appears to be working and I will continue to monitor.I want to thank all whom I had the pleasure to work with at Cloninger Ford with special thanks toMelanie Purser Service AdvisorNick Burris Service AdvisorTiffany Bunton Appointment CoordinatorStan shuttle driverAnd Lilly for their professionalism, and perceptive to the customers needs. I had been trying to negotiate on a car and was close on price. I talked to two salespeople verifying options due to noticing that their ad said 1 owner but the Carfax stated 2 owners. I drive 110 miles, one way, to find out some of the states options were not on the car, most notably heated/cooled seats. Dealerships response was sorry you drove so far, we will fix these items on the description.. Wasted my time, my money, and my gas and they did not care!

Well. I was very excited about buying my 2021 ford explorer with minimal miles on it but that s where the positives stopped.1. On my 2nd time in the car my computer screen was having issues. Had to have some repairs done locally2. The passenger seat was rigged up to look brand new but fell apart in 3 weeks and my wife is the only one who has sat there.3. I bought the car late january and here we are on march 12th with no license plate or registration. Paperwork wasnt shipped to the SC dmv until more than 3 werks after i purchased the car.

Corbin is the diamond in the crown of CLONINGER Ford. He is knowledgeable, professional and makes the car buying experience a pleasure. Dylan went out of his way to come to my house on his day off and appraise two cars which the dealership purchased. Mr Bill took me home(50 miles) after I purchased a truck that I left for new tires and took my other car to the dealership. He was a pleasure to ride with and offered to bring my new purchase to me in a few days. Bill and Jason in finance were knowledgeable and fast. Rarely, do you see service like this anymore. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

I had an appointment and arrived early. I checked my vehicle.in. I was told it could take up to two hours. When it was all said and done it took three and a half hours. It s wasn t until about three hours that anyone came out and said anything to me.
