We ve brought our cars to Central Automotive several times now, and we ve always had a great experience. The people are friendly, there s a nice little waiting area, and the pricing is fair. They ll tell you if a repair can wait, instead of pushing you to get unnecessary services done. This is our new go-to shop!

First of all the address is wrong, they have now moved to Jake Alexander beside breakfast time. And second this is one of the most disgusting, disrespectful, disappointing places I have been to in a while. I dropped my car off after having some transmission problems, they told me the fluid was over filled (not even possible as I just had it changed the day before it went thinking that might be the problem, I know how much went into that engine) and the codes I told them they didn't even write down and never even looked into them. They told me oh we just cleared that code like that would fix the problem. They did not even test drive it to see if that fixed the problem. Not only did they lie straight to my face when they said they test drove it. Which the light would have came on, as it did not even 5 minutes after my car was picked up. I feel like the way they charged me was weird since I didn t even meet the hour work limit and they charge more than that hour which was way over priced, I paid 488.99 for them to not even figure out the problem. I will tell everyone I know about how they treat their customers. And to stay away from there. I hardly ever do reviews but this place made me so mad with their dishonest practices it makes me want to warn others.

I was sent here for possible transmission repair. The guys kept for 2 days but could not find any issues. I asked Them to service my transmission and put on new wipers. They were honest and did not over charge. Will be back for regular service. Super nice, knowledgeable. Great work but how they run they business they'll get over on you. Made a deposit and they had my car for over a month. And they change my total by $700 by time they fix my car. Didn't call me didn't lower the cost bad businessService: TransmissionService: Transmission

Mike Perry s Transmission Service is no longer in business. Mike Sr. Retired earlier this year and sold the building to Central Automotive Group. I m putting this out there so that it can be understood that even though the sign on the building still reads Mike Perry s Transmission Service, our family is no longer serving the community. Thank you to all of the customers who supported our family business for over 30 years. Sincerely, the Perry family. Please feel free to share!!

Only came in for a diagnostic test to see at the check engine light was on in my truck. They were able to accommodate me ASAP and let me know the issue. Since they are only a transmission shop they could not do the repair but they did not hesitate to refer me to another shop to be able to help me out! This folks are great people and their willingness to help so quick shows the awesome character of their business!

I own a '02 Toyota Sienna that I basically use as my RV. On a recent trip, the van started throwing Transmission Temp sensor errors. I called mechanics and read as many reviews of transmission shops as I could find. Every mechanic I talked to in Rowan County recommended Mike Perry if I wanted good work from a honest mechanic. I am thankful I listened to that advice. Mike Perry's repaired the work a previous shop had done within 10 minutes of me pulling up. For no charge. Then gave me a cost of actually completely the maintenance I had just paid for at that other shop. Without draining my wallet. I brought it back a few days later and they did the work inexpensively in an hour while i waited.Thank you for saving my little mini van! I really appreciate you.

Mike Perry did retire and close his business, however, Gordon (Gordy) is still there to attend to all of your transmission needs. Central Automotive Group purchased the building and continues to work as a transmission shop. We look forward to serving our community.

When my transmission started giving problems there was no question about where I would take it. Mike's has served this area for decades and has a stellar reputation for integrity and high quality work. His expertise is second to none. He will always get my work. I just hope I don't need him anymore. Lol. I give Mikes my strongest and highest recomendation.

EXCELLENT customer service, crazy-clean shop, and just good, decent people. AND they are reasonably priced, upfront about the costs, and realistic about the time it takes to fix your vehicle. Very grateful for them!!

I just brought my 07 Chevy Silverado Truck to Mike and he had it back to me in 2-days. His quote was $2,000.00 cheaper than the local chevy dealer and he took the time to explain everything in detail what my truck needed.His customer service and professionalism is excellent.

I had went to Holgrams automotive for 8 weeks straight and they couldn't fix the problem so the owner Ricky sent me to central automotive at his expense and the problem was resolved.

Horrible horrible service follow up! Had a new transmission put in and it started to jerk immediately and he made a snide remark about it being because I had a Ford. Then sent me back to the Ford dealership where he bought the transmission to have them resolve it . Instead of following up and standing behind their service they simply blame it on the part and the maker of my car. He is suppose to be a transmission specialist and his answer to a problem was to blame it on someone else. Very unfriendly and made me feel stupid for even bringing it back. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. And I got the same runaround with the scan mess as the previous customer. Do not use these guys!!

Just the facts and you decide. I called and asked for Mike. The person said he had stepped out and what can I do for you. I explained and should have known something was amiss when he started laughing half way through the explanation. his response was " All I can do is put a re-man (Re-manufactured Transmission) in it". No offer to check anything, no questions about what issues I was having. Just yank it out and put in a "re-man". It may well need a "re-man", but with this kind of customer service they will not be doing it.

Mike's seems to be the best around glad I did not have to use them they are very very expensive. When they found out that I did not need them after all they became very bitter.They dreamed up ways to charge me when they did nothing.

Took my GMC to Mikes and they diagnosed that the problem that I thought was the transmission was actually my drive shaft was about to fall offThey fixed the problem quickly and even took me home when I dropped the truck off for the repairThey are the BEST

I've had two transmissions built by Mike with 0 trouble from either, both are still in use and my 700r4 is behind a big block.

Thought I had a transmission problem, but Perry's tech did a diagnostic and found I had multiple misfires and just needed a tune up. Thanks for saving me $$ for something I didn't need.
