5 STARS. I would give 10 if I could. Mr. Tisdale came to pick up our SUV after a coolant line burst. He not only picked my family and I up, but he made sure we went to a great exit filled with auto part stores and hotels. He took great care of my family and did his job professionally. David's towing is blessed to have him on their team. Kudos !!!

We broke down in Gaston (what is it about Gaston?) and David's Towing did a fine job towing the van and repairing it. Haylee and the crew there were great. We had to wait for parts, but got a rental and went on with our vacation. The van was ready for us on our return trip. Excellent service!!

And the 5-Star Award for great customer service goes to David s Towing & Customs of Roanoke Rapids! Thank you for saving the day!!! When I saw David get out of his truck, I thought this is going to cost me an arm and a leg, but instead it only cost me a tow! A part on my car was broken while getting an oil change and not only would they not attempt to fix it, they left me sitting in the bay alone until David arrived to give me a tow. Not only did David give me excellent customer service, but he went a step further and towed me back to David s Towing & Customs, where he asked Chris to stop what he was doing to look at my car. Chris agreed with a smile, ordered a timing belt, put it on within less than the time to do the oil change and then they blessed me by not taken advantage of my mishap. I do not say this lightly when I say there are still good people, with great customers service and who represent their brand and business in the spirit of excellence. I rarely endorse or give referrals often, but I would certainly recommend with confidence, David s Towing & Customs of Roanoke Rapids, NC.Services: Part finding & extracting, Special vehicle towing, Car towing

Shame I have to give one star. I was out of town when my car broke down and got towed to Davids. He said I needed oil and when I picked up the car I got a one line bill for $484.08. When I asked for an itemization he said it was $175 for the code. I asked what the code was, he didn't remember. He gave me extra oil to take with me, he said that was $90, later he said $50. So that leaves an $219.08 for the oil change. Who knows if he did any of it? They saw someone far from home in a tight spot and took what they could get. Work done for free? You have to be kidding. What honest auto shop doesn't itemize a bill? A ONE line bill that says 484? With no detail at all? So you checked the plugs and did an oil change for 220? Plus 175 to read a code you couldn't even remember? Now you want to pretend I'm the one that wants something for nothing? That's you, Dave.

Driving up route 95 from the other side of NC to the far north east I ran over something taking out 2 of my tires. I was alone driving cross country and it was 11pm.My children were ready to jump in their car and drive the 4 hours to get to me then we were told about David s Towing.We called them and instantly was told that the driver was coming, was 15 minutes away and would stay with me until I was safely settled.The car needed to stay over night. The driver brought me to a Hilton hotel, went inside to verify they had a room for me and even waited for me to be checked in before he left. He even told me in the morning not to call Uber they would come get me.By midnight I had an update on the car and I went to sleep. The next morning I received a call saying the car was done and it was done before I had to check out of the hotel. Someone was on their way to get me. The pricing was reasonable and being a woman alone at their mercy they could have charged me anything . But they didn t.I got back on the road for a 12 hour drive. Imagine my shock when about 12 hours later I received a text from the owner just asking if I had made it home safely. I couldn t believe he would even think to do that! I told him I was still on my way but close, wished him well and finally made it home.I highly highly recommend David s towing. I can t rave about them enough, or say how safe I felt! Thank You to the owner for taking care of this mom and making her spouse and kids feel I was in good hands on Thanksgiving weekend!

My car broke down in Gaston, NC. The crew from David s picked me up quickly. I needed a new alternator. The turned it around within 24 hours. They also recommended a local rental car place and drove me over there. Overall, fantastic service.

Awesome friendly atmosphere. Had a flat this morning. They took care of me fast and didn't hurt my wallet.Family and dog friendly. Appreciate all they've done for me cause this wasn't the first time I needed them and won't be the last.

Wish there were more than 5 stars! The team from David s Towing saved the day for us after an accidental encounter with a deer on 95 South with us far from home.��Not only was there quick and efficient coordination with AAA to arrange towing, but the awesome David s Towing team also helped us work through other logistics (hotel, rental car, etc.) to get us back on the road quickly.��The genuine caring and compassion shown by the David s Towing team was a very welcome relief following the accident.��Our highest recommendation to the incredible people at David s Towing & Customs!

Ryan Pearson came to fix my flat tire after I called AAA. I am driving from Boston to Florida and was stranded. He was there in 15 minutes and did a great job! He went out of his way to make sure I had the right air pressure in my spare even running back to the shop to accommodate my needs. He gave me recommendations on where to get my tire fixed and was a gentlemen! It was the middle of the night and dark and told me I could wait in the car so I wasn t cold. He did a great job! If you have a foreign car like a BMW or Mercedes these guys are my go to. Because this is a small rural area we are like knowhere near a dealership of any kind these guys will get you straight. They repaired the value covers on my 650i and changed all 8 of my spark plugs and coils. They also do transmission work they have my Escalade right now. Prices are pretty decent to.

customer service at a minimum , was a good business a couple years ago now it seems as if he doesn't care about is customers. went for headliner to be re done and fix a leak, truck was there for 3 weeks before i took it upon myself to call to see what was going on with it (had asked for updates prior to dropping it off to include price updates etc. didnt know what fixing the leak would cost the starlight headliner was $600 last i was told) threw my truck together before i needed it, broken headliner board, sagging not put back together right and still charged me $1500, brung it back to them to fix, still hanging , some of the stars didnt work, the glue the sprayed to keep my headliner up is on my passenger seat, and some on my window. and on top of that my dome light wasnt cut out of the headliner and was in the floor in the back when i got it back claims the leak was the drain tubes for the sunroof and they replaced them. i dropped my headliner a few days ago and the drain tubes look like the original from factory. leak still present which i now know is coming from the sunroof itself, not hard to tell at all. was told to go a buy my own headliner board and bring it back to them but my truck will never step foot in that place ever again. a total of a month of loss time with my truck and running back and forth to north carolina. i shouldnt have to pay again for them to fix what they messed up. my truck looks better inside with no headliner at all if that tells you anything. 0/10 do not recommend.

Best customer service ever!!!I was broken down on 95 in the rain with my dog. Scared, alone and freaking out as cars and trucks flew by me. I searched nearest tow truck companies and David s came up. I called and he was compassionate, quickly talked me through where I was and sent a truck right away. His priority was to get me off 95 to a safe place.His driver was professional and moved quickly to get my car moved.Once at his shop David and his guys worked to find the problem with my car and allowed me and my big furry dog to hang out in their office out of the rain.I highly recommend David and his team to help with your towing and other automotive needs. They are a true example of there are good people out there, hard working men that care about their customers and community.

We were traveling out of town for the weekend and broke down on highway 95 in Virginia/ near North Carolina border. After emergency roadside warranty from the dealership and Triple A failed us, and had us sitting on the side of the road for 3 hours with no update, we decided to call every towing & auto repair shop near us. No one would assist, except David s Towing. Without hesitation, Ryan picked us up and towed us almost 200 miles to our destination. He went above and beyond in service! We highly recommend their services if you are in the NC area or break down on 95. Don t waste time with AAA.Services: Tires, Special vehicle towing, Car towing, Long distance hauling

Got hit by another driver outside of Emporia - had a wrecker to me within 30 minutes. Even got a tow an hr and a half away. Best towing service I've had in a very long time.

I wish there was a way to give more than 5 stars. On June 16, my family and I were heading to Myrtle Beach on vacation. Our SUV started skipping at the NC line on I-95 and it gave out just below Halifax. After a call to the local dealership, we were told to call David's Towing & Customs... that was a great call! Longer story short- our fuel pump system gave out and it was on a Friday afternoon.While we had to wait for parts to arrive and for repairs, David made sure my family and I were safe and comfortable until everything was repaired and safe to drive. As we interacted with others in Roanoke Rapids, we were told that David was "good people" and had a great reputation. We definitely agree!I hope your car doesn't break down, but if it does and you're near RR or Halifax, David's Towing is the one you want to call.

Wow! Where to begin...we had brake issues on 95 South while traveling to Myrtle Beach for vacation, and had to get off on the nearest exit, which happened to be in the middle of nowhere. Called AAA & she could not give me a time frame because it was Saturday. In LESS THAN AN HOUR, David comes to rescue us (my husband, myself & my 2 children). He drives us all safely to Napa, gets the caliper we need, and takes us to his shop. It was poor Brandon's day off, as they are closed on Saturdays, but HE CAME IN ANYWAY, swiftly fixed the caliper like he belongs on a Nascar pit crew, and got us on our way once more. I cannot express enough appreciation for these two gentlemen! They were truly angels in a rather unpleasant situation, and I am soooo thankful David's was the towing company to respond to our situation. I had visions of us having to wait until Monday to get it fixed & having to get a rental vehicle & unload/reload our packed up vehicle, but thanks to David & Brandon, we are only a couple hours off schedule. I obviously highly recommend this business, its owner, & employees...absolutely top-notch!!! Thank you both so much again!! :)

My motorcycle broke down on I-95 in Roanoke Rapids, NC. I called AAA and after just over an hour, they assigned David's Towing & Customs to get me.Meanwhile, not fully confident that AAA would find a tow truck that wanted to drive me 200+ miles home and hoping to save $800 out of pocket (who wouldn't?), I called a buddy to come get me (on a Sunday evening).20 minutes after being assigned, I got a call from a driver. I told him about my idea to have him drive me 100 miles and drop me so I could save money and 200 miles (round trip) for my buddy. He put me on with another driver who said they'd take me about 80 miles and he'd be there in about an hour. I asked him to let me know when he was on the way so I could coordinate with my friend. As we were getting off the phone he tells me "Good luck finding another tow truck because we're the only AAA around". I got the feeling that they were NOT coming to get me. They seemed agitated about losing my "out of pocket money".I sat on the interstate for 1� hours before calling David and telling him my plan to limp my bike a mile to a gas station where I sat for another 30 mins waiting. I was patient for two hours. I never heard from David's Towing again until I canceled the appointment. They were mad because I didn't want to spend $800 if I didn't have to... I must be a real jerk. They were still going to get paid by AAA.Seems some others have good things to say about this place, but they LEFT ME STRANDED.I know David's response will be that they were super busy and not his fault... Your driver said 1 hour and never called again. He also said the "Good luck" thing. I was gonna tip your driver $100 for saving me the $800.

Got a 100+ mile tow from Ryan through AAA, he was extremely professional and helpful throughout what would have been a very stressful process. There was some confusion between the tow company and AAA (AAA kept cancelling the request on me) and he stayed on the phone with them until it was sorted out. He even looked at the car when we got to the destination and gave a recommendation on my next steps. If I ever get stranded in Roanoke Rapids again I will go straight to David s!Service: Car towing

My friend had her pick up stolen it was abandoned in roanoke rapids they called her 2 weeks later and said she owes 1000$ to get out of impound that gotta be against the law she was the victim how does she get punished for it

I ran over a nail and damaged my tire. David s Towing came to my house to put on the spare. The gentleman changed the tire and said he could take the damaged tire to see if it was reparable. He said he d call me the next day to let me know. He delivered! Impeccable and affordable service! I highly recommend them.

David and his team were Lifesavers. Stuck on the side of the interstate with engine overheating. Not only did they get me safe and off the road within 30 minutes but then were able to repair my vehicle same day so I could get home which was still five hours away. They even took me to a local hotel, drop me off and pick me back up when my vehicle was done. Not an experience you wish for anyone, but so glad they were there to help and get me back on the road.Service: Car towing

June 10 2023, My husband and I were traveling to Pa. We stopped at exit 173 and our Tahoe started overheating. We pulled in the Walmart parking lot and called AAA at 1230 pm we waited for over an hour and finally a person called said he was 100 miles away. He recommended David s Towing so I called AAA back and requested him. AAA didn t not call him so we waited again til around 5 pm. I decided to call David s Towing myself. He was very understanding and helpful. He told my husband he would send someone to us in the next few minutes and he did. The young gentleman that came was very polite and helpful. He didn t want to leave us til my sister and brother-in-law were there to get us and our trailer. He even called back to ensure we were safe. Monday David s Towing towed my vechicle to Whiteville NC for me with no problem. I highly recommend David s Towing. I was not worried about leaving my vechicle over three hours away from my home. I only wish we had a company like this near us in Florida. We were forced to pull over on 95 after our car wouldn t accelerate. They came quickly and towed us on a Holiday late in the day to their business and began working on the car which they discovered was missing a part. Not only did they drive us to a hotel and picked us up the next day but searched and found the problem part we needed and in a timely manner we were headed home. All of the employees including Tasha in the office were friendly and so accommodating. I got into an accident in Roanoke Rapids yesterday and David helped remove my bumper that was hanging so I could make the 350mile drive home. He was helping another customer and was flagged down by the police officer for advice and he ended up fixing my problem and giving me pointers to make it happen. I wanted to pay David but he refused to accept anything from me even though I tried multiple times.I hope I don t ever need a tow since that would mean my car broke down but I will say my experience with David was absolutely exceptional! There are still good people in this world and if David had another business that I need, I would call him without hesitation. THIS IS WHAT PUTTING THE CUSTOMER FIRST LOOKS LIKE AND BUSINESSES LIKE DAVID S TOWING & CUSTOMS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PLACE TO CALL!Thank you David for helping my wife and I during a tough experience of being in a wreck 350 miles from home. Southern hospitality at its best in David and the people of Roanoke Rapids, NC!

My granddaughter was headed to SC and had an issue with gas they just got, off South bound 95. Had to be towed and of course tank drained. They needed a room since it was a Sunday. David towed the car and secured a room so they were safe. Next day was in touch with them on outcome of her car. When completed he picked them up and brought them to shop. Then they headed back down 95 south to South Carolina. Can t thank him enough for his expertise and thoughtfulness in caring for the kids. Nice to know there are still knowledgeable and caring people in the world.
