Bought two (2) Porsches from John (owner of Import Performance) and I LOVE THEM BOTH!! First was a 2001 Boxster and a later trade of my old Cayenne toward the value of a newer Cayenne. His shop has properly, effectively, and affordably serviced all three vehicles, John s expertise and professionalism are superior. He and the guys in his shop have gone above and beyond my expectations related to sales and service. Definitely recommend!!

John always takes care of me and works within my budget where they can for repairs on my 2018 Alfa Romeo. Not many other than the dealer will touch my car but they confidently took it own. They did my front and rear brakes, machined my rotors, diagnosed a faulty start and replaced my starter relay. I come out cheaper than expected every time. Highly recommended!

So. April 2021..What can I say. John posted a 2002 VW cabrio for 3k and me out in California saw this and thought I want that! I contacted John who informed me that there was already a hold on this car, my heart was shattered. i told him if by any chance this person backs out let me know; and thank my lucky stars he text me and said "they didn't buy it" I put a $200 hold on the car and he informed me that it was non refundable I gambled putting this deposit on a car i barely saw and never drove and I was 3000 miles away. I'm sure John though I was crazy. Sure enough a week later we flew out to North Carolina and saw this beauty of a car. John still thinking I am nuts for picking up a car and attempting to drive it cross country being 20 years old and priced at 3k. He mentioned many times that he wouldn't allow his sister to take that journey and he made sure I understood that there was no refunds and I couldn't call him from the side of the 40 and ask for help. (Although I got the vibe that hes's a nice enough guy he would do what he could to help). I pondered on it for a minute, John was clear with what he repaired and let me take it on a few test drives. We were 3 girls not knowing too much about cars, about to drive this car 3000 miles back to Los Angeles. It started to rain, John replaced the wipers for us, John gave us Anti Freeze in case we needed in on the journey home. He had changed the battery, and put in a radio (because he disclosed the original one was broken) There was no way we could drive cross country with no tunes. We drove John crazy I'm sure that Saturday, we had thousands of questions, and although he never promised the car would make the trip; I really got this vibe that he genuinely cared that we made it home safe. I bought it! the 3 of us left with the car and headed out. I texted John multiple times still asking questions about things and he responded; I mean the sale was done... he could have been good riddance.. but he is a decent human being and in the used car sales world that is hard to fine. Long story short that little car made it home safely. 3000 miles in 4 days and pretty much through all kinds of weather. John was also kind enough to send us off with one of his good luck garlics. Would it have been Johns fault if we didn't make it, no.. but his honestly and genuineness made him easy to trust. The other gentlemen I believe his name was Phillip.. he went on the test drive with me, he was just as kind. Putting up with us 3 annoying women who just got off a plane is not easy and those two handled us with CLASS. John had another offer on the car, for more money he even showed the proof of it; he could have made up some excuse to not sell the car to me, but true to his word he held that car for me and that integrity these days is hard to find. And too boot by the time I got home, he had sent over all the paperwork I needed to go to the DMV. I appreciate John, and his shop for assisting me with this purchase. We had an amazing road trip home I can't wait to drive her in the California Sun. Good People here! Thanks Again!

Went in for a fuel pump installation. Not only did they do the whole job wrong (did not properly route the cables, nor did they plug up the fuel level sensor) they also charged for ~2 hours of "work" that amounted to a lower quality fix than I could have done. I had to get a friend of mine to fix the issues they caused. Do not go here, they are more than okay with lying to you. They were even going to charge for the new issues caused by their "fix."

My son & I went this past Saturday to purchase a Mustang. When we got there the young lady was detailing the car. While outside we met Phillip & he was extremely friendly. Within 5 minutes my son & I took the vehicle on a test drive. Once we got back she continued to detail the car. She did an excellent job. Phillip was beyond nice & very personable. He treated my son and I with the utmost respect. They didn t budge on the price but honestly the price they asked was fair. We were in & out in less than 3 hours. I have no complaints about the car or service we received. My son absolutely loves his mustang. Thank you!

Import Performance is not just another car shop they are car doctors extraordinary. My Mercedes stopped working one random day, it was dead literally, no life. I had it towed to the Mercedes dealership. The dealership had my car for an extended period of time before i received the call with bad news; my car was dead, unfixable, and would never run again. I was super bummed. I should have taken Mercedes straight to Import Performance. I don't know why i thought the Mercedes dealership was where i should have it towed... After all i got my oil changes , brakes, and all routine maintenance done at Import Performance. My car was towed to Import on a Wednesday, I was driving my car the very next day, Thursday. If the dealership said my car would never run again and within 24 hours Import had me picking up my car then, The mechanic at Import Performance did the impossible, my car is still alive like nothing ever happened. Thank you Import Performance. You guys are the best!!!! I love you.

Unlike other car dealerships these folks were not pushy or aggressive they worked with me to make sure I was fully satisfied with the vehicle that I was purchasing they made me feel at ease . Sometimes dealing with a car dealership can leave an uncomfortable feeling the way that the salesperson will keep running back and forth to the manager's office to let you know what deal they can give you the salesman that I dealt with made his own decisions I had a trade in with nearly 300,000 miles they said that the mileage was too high for them to accept but after it was all said and done they offered to buy my vehicle anyway and I accepted their offer the car I purchase only had one fob and key they told me if I would leave it overnight they would be sure to have another fob and key made for me tomorrow at no extra cost to me this was indeed a laid-back atmosphere that I would be willing to go back to again and again. I do not hold back on Google reviews if I'm satisfied I will state just that and if I feel screwed over I will state that as well kudos to import performance Incorporated

I bought an old, worn out Miata from these guys. They worked with me on the price and took care of the car. I'm super happy and would work with them anytime!

I've been working with John and Noah on a possible purchase. There were a few credit glitches on my end and the deal is not complete. This review is to say these guys have gone to the extreme trying to help me get my issue resolved and have done so in the most professional manner possible. Whether this deal goes through or not, these guys will absolutely have my future business for the way they have stepped up when others would have have dumped my case long ago!I have to say "Highly recommend!"

Omg John is absolutely amazing. I recently purchased a9 Mercedes GL 450 from a car lot in Raleigh. Needless to say the truck was perfect but it had a few minor issues. We took it to our CERTIFIED Mercedes mechanic and they fixed it.(so we thought). Drove it for a while and took it back soon after with the same problem. Which by the way occurred 2 more times afterwards so I basically drove my truck a total of 29 days before it went back into the shop. The same problem still existed. But the bill kept increasing, diagnostics kept changing, and still the same. So our warranty never covered all the extra work my guys were doing that was not asked to do and at my expense. So thankfully our warranty God's referred us to this amazing place Import Performance. And I have to say when it came to getting my truck what it needs being punctual they had dates times etc. They were on it. From start to finish. My truck is running like it brand new. I would definitely recommend Import Performance

Import Performance was able to make a awesome deal with me and got me a nice good quality car that was a Volkswagen! Was very thankful. Very Nice and good people at import! They take care of all their cars- all the car s important features to make sure customers get good quality/best condition cars.Would defiantly go back and highly recommended!

Definitely the worst car buying and repair service I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. First took my Elantra there for the broken hood clasp to be repaired. It was wired securely down until I took it in. They told me I was good to go with zip ties holding the hood in place! I questioned it but was confidently told otherwise. I was 19 yo and believed John. 30 min down I-40, my hood caught air and smashed into my windshield. Luckily I was able to pull over. John assured me he would take the cost off of any vehicle I purchased from him. Got a car loan for a 2000 VW Jetta, and John did remove the $300 windshield cost off the purchase. Less than a month later, the brakes aren't working and are locked in place, the radiator hoses have separated several times, and come to find out the entire engine is ZIP TIED together. I kid you not, I still have photos because no one ever believes a "dealership" would sell a car in that condition. After totaling the car with my insurance a month after buying it for the brakes issues and other engine problems, John told my insurance I owed $2000 more dollars than I did, and he made far more money off the insurance than he did with me paying for it. I didn't see a dime of the insurance money and had to take out a personal loan for my next car.Don't trust John or his mechanics. He's sleazy and just looking to take advantage of people. I was recommended here by a person who'd been with him for 8 years. Couldn't understand why until I realized she worked at Buddha's Belly next door and was always in his shop.

Import Performance is by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. I traveled from Wilmington, NC to Raleigh to purchase a 2015 VW Jetta from Import Performance. They made my experience very pleasurable. Dropped the price to where I wanted it and I left with a full tank of gas. Well but from them again.

A little over a year ago I purchased a vehicle from here and the staff was nice but it was probably one of the biggest financial mistakes I have ever made. In just one year I have had to buy 4 new tires, a new gas cap that went with the vehicle, and a new catalytic converter with sensors and that is not including a new A/C compressor and condenser which also needed to be replaced and a new engine so I am left to basically sell this car for scrap parts after its been nothing but trouble for an entire year. Their staff is nice and I did not ever get my car serviced here so I cannot say much about that aspect but I personally do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this location.

We have two porsche cayenne's and my mother's Hyundai serviced at Import Performance. All services were completed on time and within estimates, AKA no surprises. The repair prices are roughly half of the dealer for most services. I really appreciate the full diagnostics with a written estimate of services needed immediately, within 6 months and then two other categories based on mileage. We found a 'GEM'.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Auto emissions testing, Air conditioning, Oil change

I am going to be a long time customer here. Import performance offers great service and they were very attentive to my car. Long story short, I had an issue the dealer couldn t resolve (without a large expense attached), and John with Import Performace was able to resolve my issue. He gave me the proper information about a service I should do in the future, but was not immediately needed. I appreciate them establishing great trust from my first experience with them!

I recently bought a used car from a private seller and realized quickly that it needed a few fixes the hard way. The Import Performance crew is always friendly, fast and thorough. Their prices are competitive and their work is superb. Leave your current car shop and experience they're great work! You won't regret it.

Great shop for imports, I had an alignment on my S2000 done here. Those cars are notoriously difficult to align and they got it done as close as they could to the specs I wanted. They were only limited by the equipment I had on the car. All in all a good shop with great prices and a dedicated team of mechanics.

Ivan was great, calm and collected. He was honest about the cars and trade ins. 5/5John came off extremely short tempered and gets worked up over basic questions but seems knowledgeable. 2/5I would ask to deal with Ivan if you re looking at cars.

What a great experience!I saw a couple of vehicles online on a different site, I found their web site, did some research, and made contact with Import Performance via text or "contact us" online and was contacted quickly! I made an appointment for this past Saturday. The place was easy to find and gave me a good first impression, as the first vehicle I wanted to see and test drive was already parked out front! I walked in and was greeted cheerily. I liked the look of the place, they have style! Everyone was so nice and laid back. No pressure. We spoke about looking for a good used vehicle for our son and what we were looking for. We were invited to test drive the first vehicle, while the other contender was brought up for us. Upon return, we discussed both vehicles, and took the second vehicle out for a test drive. Upon our return, we discussed the usual price and etcetera, but our conversation changed to different topics. It was like we had known each other for years! I can t explain it other than it felt nice, comfortable, and easy. Not at all like any other dealer it felt more like friends helping friends, auto enthusiasts enjoying each other s company, where buying an automobile just seemed to be a side transaction. Does anyone else feel the same way?Suffice it to say, we will be coming back, and from now on, Import Performance will be my first call when looking for a used vehicle or import vehicle repair. Thank you folks and it was great to meet you!

It is excellent i am pleased with the service they have provided. I walked in the door with huge repair issues with my car. Ron, John and his team are very knowledgeable and knew what to fix. They took care of my car and web of repairs my car needed which came with the 110k miles on it. When i drove i felt as if i am driving my good old car when it was at 30k miles in it(to summarize it is a good as new).I highly recommend this place if you owning a German brand car.

Drove 2 & 1/2 hours to pick up a 2011 DTS Luxury, with 58,000 miles. John had sent a video, and I looked at many pictures of the vehicle. He told me no dings, scratches, or? The car was not as expected! Water leak marks inside by sunroof, many dings, scratches, and paint flaws. Cut in rear seat, car not detailed, and... to beat all, duct tape on opening of passengers front door! Way below an average car. The 2001 DHS I drove over is in better condition, and it has 189,000 miles!

Import performance is easily the best! John, Nicole, and Jason are all so kind, helpful and friendly. I bought a neato little Subaru Forester from import after a LOT of searching in the area. After a month of driving my *new* (used) car, I still don't feel I could have made a better choice! John took the time (a lot of time) to talk to me about what he thinks is best option for me. This was my first time buying a car by myself (without my dad) and John spent time on the phone with my dad making sure my dad felt comfortable with the car as well. All the necessary and expensive work that older subarus need was done before I purchased the car. A few unforeseen issues popped up within a couple weeks of driving and Jason gladly fixed them for me at no cost to me. Everyone here made sure the car was safe and as ready as ever to drive it across the country. Still couldn't be happier with my choice and I cannot thank import performance enough. Definitely recommend buying car from them or getting your car fixed by them! They're simply the best around.

Went in to have the belts replaced on my Volvo as general maintenance. They gave me a quote which was accurate to what I paid in the end. All my questions were answered and everything was explained thoroughly. I've been driving my car for 3 or 4 months now and it's been running great. Highly recommend Import Performance.

Import Performance is a prodigious company! I take both of my BMW's here for all types of work. Each time Important Performance, especially John has kept in constant contact via phone or text of precise issues and cost or additional cost to correct the problem. Regardless, their prices are reasonable, 9 out of 10 times beating the price offered by the dealership. I highly recommend Import Performance!

I brought my VW in for routine maintenance and to diagnose/fix a slow tire leak. John and team did a wonderful job. They gave me written updates via text about the status of the repairs. All work was professionally done. I felt like they were a partner is helping me to get the most out of my car. They also arranged an after hours pickup. I will definitely be back.

Seemed very untrustworthy. Just took my car in for a state inspection. First of all, I made an appointment online with a drop down asking what needed to be serviced. I chose "state inspection." Then walked in and verbally said I needed an inspection and to check the coolant because I had to refill recently. Then I filled out a form and checked "state inspection" as the service requested. I waited for an hour for the guy to come back and charge me $60 for coolant (and check for a leak) and tire pressure and NO inspection. He acted surprised when I asked about it and stated he did not even know he was supposed to do one...He said he wouldn't have passed me anyway because the fog light cover was cracked. Then tried getting me to buy one.*** update: my car passed inspection the same day at a different place. NC doesn't have anything in it's safety inspection code about fog lights because not all cars have them***I don't care about having to get my light fixed but this all made him seem untrustworthy. How could you miss that I needed an inspection?? So now I feel like he extended my service to be an hour so he could charge me for an hour of labor. Maybe because I am a young woman so he assumed I wouldn't know any better? This is the reason why people are so skeptical of mechanics! If it isn't untrustworthiness, then it's incompetence. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I will go elsewhere to get my light fixed.
