Dixie trail automotive fixed the heck out of my old 1997 car. I brought it in with a laundry list of issues and when I took it back it was highway capable again.Their assessments were truthful and skilled and they did a great job updating me on the progress of the repairs. Also, their initial cost estimate was very accurate considering the amount of curveballs my car would throw at them.They were also very sweet to my grandmother, who had her car fixed after mine. She was worried about having to drive a long distance to get to a carwash so they got a detailer that they knew to come over and clean the car while it was at the shop. Really nice of them to arrange that!

These guys are excellent- incredibly honest, good prices and extremely helpful. I have had 2 issues with my car and both times they proved their honesty by not doing unneeded work. In one case, they removed the part they had just put in because it didn't fix the problem. They do everything they can to save me money on parts and service without reducing quality. I wish I had found these guys sooner, I couldn't recommend them enough.

Always happy with this garage. Lived in the neighborhood for years and have since moved. I have no issue at all driving a long way for honest and high quality work. They are fast too if you need an oil change. I feel clueless when it comes to car care beyond change the oil, change the tires. I never worry about being taken advantage of at Dixie Trail. Great care, quality work, fair prices!

This place has fallen under in recent years and it s obvious. We needed 2 minutes of their time to reset the engine and they couldn t even do that. They don t even do inspections anymore. After so many years of us using this places services it s obvious they aren t what they used to be and it s sad to see.

New favorite auto-shop in Raleigh! The crew here is so friendly, helpful, and does wonderful work for very reasonable prices. I m so glad I found Dixie Trail Automotive. If you need your car inspected, be sure to go in or call and make an appointment! They re busy, so you should schedule about a week before you need to go in.

Best place to take your car in Raleigh. Friendly and honest mechanics. My girlfriend and I have been going there for years and have never been let down. They've even let me know when I'm being ripped off in another state.

Honest work and certified-tech quality work at an equally honest rate. I have gone at least 4 times now with my two cars and have been more than satisfied each time. Friendly people too. I Couldn't ask for more from a small garage.

These are the nicest mechanics, but inexplicably they diagnosed our warped front rotors as maybe front rotors and maybe bad tires. We replaced the tires and the warped rotor pulsation was still there going strong. We returned back to Dixie Trail and they somehow changed the diagnosis to rear rotors, calipers and brakes. They changed these out at a fair price but must have noticed that the pulsation was equally strong. It was very perplexing when they reported that the vibration was very much improved but not gone. It was exactly the same as the very beginning. Took it to Jiffy Lube and got the front brakes and rotors replaced. Job done. Pulsation gone. The whole experience was expensive and mystifying given the fabulous reviews by others. The Dixie Trail mechanics are however very polite and very conscientious of cleanliness during these pandemic times.

Wonderful mechanics. We have used them for years and go out of our way (Chapel Hill) to bring our vehicles to them for repairs and maintenance. Great at what they do and honest in their assessments.

This is the only place in the country I trust to take my car to. I have been going here with all my vehicles since 2013 when I luckily moved in down the street. John and the other mechanics are a close-knit bunch of incredible knowledge, very friendly and willing to teach about whatever issues the cars are having. I now live in Carrboro and drive to Raleigh for all maintenance!

Been going to them before they moved to Dixie Trail from North Raleigh. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. I always tell people about Big John, Little John and Robert (Catfish) and how wonderful they are.

The best, nicest folks. Took my car in and was going to have a cab take me to work, I was only going a couple miles and the owner offered to give me a lift! Car was done by the end of the day, for a reasonable price.
