Took my car here for an inspection of a VERY slow leak on one tire. They couldn t repair it which was totally fine, I was prepared to replace whatever I needed. But then they broke my pressure sensor and said they fixed it but it s still not working. They also put my spare on without my permission when the original tire was still very drivable. They were closing when I picked my car up so I didn t notice anything until I got home and I don t know if they messed up the original tire or what happened. They also don t have any tires of my size in stock so I m left with no choice but to go somewhere else because I can t drive on a spare. They also charged me for the tire repair without looking at it first and wouldn t refund it and chalked it up to labor fees even though they didn t fix anything (they actually broke things) and the inspection was supposed to be free. Overall the workers here are very nice and try to be as helpful as they can, I think there s just a lack of communication and streamlined service.

My wife and I shop at Costco located at 2838 WAKE FOREST RD, Raleigh, NC. Our shopping also includes buying car tires. I'm now convinced that there is a pattern of poor customer service with the representative named Mark who works at the Tire Service Desk. It happened again today, Nov. 27, 2023. Mark is rude, arrogant, and condescending. His customer service skills are simply poor.

Impossible to get them on the phone BUT if you ever do - they are incredibly helpful, kind, knowledgeable, patient, professional and ready to schedule you in! Best tire warranty and most affordable tires. Incredible deal!

Costco tires is the first choice if you have membership. Free nitrogen top up and $10.99 flat tire repair. Sometimes Costco offers 1cent Tire installations that can be a better deal. They don t have small car tires that I was looking for. I could find a battery for low price. They dont install car battery.

I was a Costco member for over 15 years. I took my F150 there to get new tires this year and during the instillation they scratched the chrome off the edge of all 4 of the wheels. I filed a claim immediately and after 3 months of hounding Gallagher Bassett, the third party company that handles all of Costco's claims, my claim was denied, stating that Ford made wheels that the chrome would come off. So now I have to file an insurance claim and pay my deductible on that which is costing me twice as much as I saved by going to Costco for tires. They have lost a loyal customer because due to no fault of my own they damaged my wheels.

The crew on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 is unprofessional. I came in for a simple balance service with an appointment as I usually do after an oil change and it took two hours and they still butchered the job. I returned on the following Thursday because the handling of my car was no the same and there was vibration in my steering wheel. The Thursday crew actually balanced my tires this time and they found out that the two tires LF AND RR were not balanced properly previously. The vibration did go away and the handling is back to normal. If something does not feel right after a service, do not hesitate to bring your car back there for redo. Some technicians are simply not qualified to be working there.

Received new tires at less than 50% of the quote from the dealer (and less than other tire shops). Within a week, I got a nail in the tire. The repair would have been covered by the road hazard warranty (included with Costco but not others), but the store instead gave me a brand new tire to avoid having to worry about the patch/slow leak the whole time that I had the tire. Earned my loyalty.

I went to Costco tires because I had used them 4 years ago for another vehicle and they did a great job and I saved money compared to other places. This time did not go so well. I got my care back after purchasing my tires and they tell all i should need is an alignment. I took my care to get the alignment and but the car was shaking badly. So I had the place I got my alignment done and they said that 2 tires were over balanced and two tires were under balanced. However, after that, I still had vibration getting coming from the rear. They recommended I get a force tire balance. I got the force tire balanced performed and they were able to get it into better balance than the place before however, they did say my rear right tire had a pressure rating that was a little high. After getting the car back I still have vibration in the rear (way better than before but still noticeable) so now I have to go and see about getting that tire replaced. In all the money and time I've spent so far in trying to get the tires to normal working order any cost savings have gone out the window and now I have to take my car back to the place that didn't do it right the first time to see if they will replace the bad tire. I looked at other costco tire centers in the area because I didn't want to take back to the place that couldn't balance my tires in the first place but all the other tire centers had bad reviews in the recent year as well. I'm sorry to say that costco tire center isn't what it used to be and any savings I thought I would have been getting has gone out the window. I won't be using them again and recommend you find a place with better wait times and a properly trained staff so you can avoid alot of wasted time and frustration.

Even with an appointment, it took more than 2.5 hrs to have my tires replaced although there were no other cars in line. That on top of the fact that it took 3 weeks to find an appointment. Love Costco in general but for the tire center here in Raleigh, it is bad bad service in general.

The Raleigh Costco tire center was chosen to replace two front end tires where there was serious sidewalk damage. Costco charged for two new tires, installation, balancing, and nitrogen filling only to then refuse perform the work. The reason they cited was that some of the lug nuts had cosmetic caps on them that were slightly swollen. This is easily overcome with a slightly larger 6 point socket, but nonetheless they refused.They said they would only change the tires if new lug nuts were provided, or the tires uninstalled new tires could be returned for a credit.Also in addition to the above they put the factory donut spare on the front of a front wheel drive car. This is dangerous on a front wheel drive car because it s a compromised wheel/tire combo on the front which drives, steers and handles the bulk of braking duties. This tire center lacks training and professionalism.

The team at Costco Tire Service Center in Raleigh were excellent. We've bought 3 sets of tires there and the road service coverage is great. We were towed to the shop after a bad puncture. The tire could not be repaired and because of its age, a replacement would not match the other 3. Mike, Steve and Justin were great. They had a set of tires overnighted, squeezed us into the schedule the next day and even gave generous credit for the damaged tire. Kudos to the dedicated team. Advice: get an appointment to avoid the summer rush.

If you are in any kind of urgency do yourself a favor and find elsewhere. This branch is not looking for more customers. Appointments one week out walk ins end of day if you get there first thing in the am

They have great prices, and the staff are super friendly, but they are tremendously overworked and in need of a front-end person to help them out scheduling and making appointments etc.... This wasn't a one shot occasion I've stopped by the counter several different times over several different months. The management of Costco should get these folks the support they need, you can't even get the tire people on the phone they're so busy working.The staff are the only reason this is two stars instead of one the staff or five star but the disorganization of this department by Costco management brings it down to two

Michael Casey, Garrett and Rico were beyond excellent! They assisted me with a screw that was stuck in my tire by getting me in and serviced quickly and efficiently. They were extremely helpful, friendly and hard working.

Do not give your service to Costco tire. I went in for a SIMPLE tire rotation. After 20 minutes of walking around the store, I get a call from the garage telling me my tires are bad and they cannot rotate. They don't explain to me how and why they are bad. What transpires next is trying to up sell me to buy 3 new tires. I went to the counter to get my keys, the tech told me to go around to the garage and they will give me my keys. Go to the garage, ask for my keys, I then get told they are going to bring my car up. After 10 minutes of waiting, I loose my patience and demand to know where my keys/car is. Then I finally get my keys. After a few minutes of arguing with the employees, I finally get an apology. Do yourself a big favor, go somewhere where. Terrible service from the garage employees. Not the initial member at the counter, he was friendly.

Love Costco in general but as for the tire service area, Long lines and wait. They could use at least 1 additional person up front to assist customers. One person can't be expected to answer phones, answer questions of customers and check in customers. It's not the fault of the attendees but mangement to ensure sufficient staff.At the end of the wait, the staff was courteous and helpful but the process needs improvement.

Long lines and waits at the desk as there is usually no one there. Couldn't get anyone to answer the phone at the desk to make an appointment for tires I had shipped to the store (line just rings and rings). After multiple attempts at calling, had to talk to a manager on the phone who had to walk over and have someone call me back to schedule an appointment. Got there for my appointment waited in line at the desk for 10 minutes and they had no record of my appointment. They were able to get me in that day after I told them just to return the tires, but the whole situation was too much work and a total mess. Will be looking at simpler options next time. Customer service in general at the tire center could use some work. A simple apology goes a long way.

Made the mistake of purchasing tires from Costco, after two rotations I was told at the Apex store that I needed an alignment so I went to Meineke and had it completed asap. On the next visit I was told the tires were worn unevenly, and they couldn't be rotated and that I needed new tires. I was also told that I couldn't get any credit for tread because this was a manufacturing issue not a tire issue. Please learn from my mistake and buy your tires from somewhere else!UPDATE! Robert Moyer the Director or Costco Tires contacted me and is facilitating the tread credit that I should have received. Even though it was a bit of work. The right thing was done in the end so I have updated my review to reflect that.

My wife had a terrible experience this morning. She wasn t sure where to park or how to check in so she pulled up next to the garage to ask someone where to go. She was greeted rudely and was subsequently mistreated, disrespected, and scoffed at by multiple Costco Tire employees.

Had my tires balanced and rotated for the first time since purchase today. Staff particularly Trent G and Mike W were professional and courteous.Did not take long to get work done and same was performed in a businesslike manner.

I paid them for tire rotation and balance. They didn't remove old weights from one of the wheel and placed weights all over in other wheel.I need to drive 400 miles with horrible vibrations on a Lexus LS to fix at another location.Won't recommend wheel balance to anyone at this location.

The tires are a good deal and the guy at the counter was very nice. But it was super crowded, there's no sign directing you to Tire entrance, you have no idea where to put your car, and if no one is at the counter, you may just wait up to 15 mins before they come back, even if you have an appt. One would think they'd check if there's people waiting with people scheduled. Then trying to check out there were 10 people in front of me, some picking up, some trying to order tires, some just asking questions. Very poorly run. Then they give me my receipt and I have to go look in the parking lot for my car. It could be anywhere. I found it miraculously and there's no keys. Have to go all the way back. Total fiasco. There's got to be a way to have a proper drop off, know where your car should go and will be. Just dedicate spaces for Tire Service. That is obvious. Don't tell people to park anywhere and just look for their car. That's a joke. BJs has a separate entrance entirely away from main entrance. You know exactly where to go. Maybe go there and see how it's supposed to be run.

The appointment system is useless. I made an appointment for 10:00. I arrived at 9:35 and was standing at the Tire Center desk at 9:40. They repaired one tire that had a nail. I left at 11:20.

Really sweet of you don't mind the wait. Some of the better prices but make an appointment, they don't work that fast if you don't. I don't get the free rotations they offer because appointments are tough to get on my schedule.

Fixed / patched the nail in my wife's tire for a very reasonable cost while I shopped. No wait for drop-off at 5:45 and pickup was done immediately after I finished shopping.
