Will update in a few months to make sure everything is still running smoothly in the car - but initial review: this place is an excellent choice for auto body and repair. A tree fell on my vehicle and had a lot of major and minor damage all along the body of my vehicle.Took 4 weeks to call, and get my car in and out, which is the timeline they gave me upfront. Vehicle looks like new, they used quality parts with warranties, and fixed everything they said they would. No surprises for me throughout the process, and they handled my insurance company and charges beautifully, Scott made sure everything got covered. Very professional with me, so as far as insurance claims go I highly recommend coming to this shop!Update: It's been 4 months and car is still working great! Actually had to bring it in again for an unrelated issue and second experience went just as well as the first. Highly recommend!Services: Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

One of the best auto repair experiences I have had in my sixty some years of existence. They replaced a door and windshield and did so on a timely basis. They handled the insurance claims and car rental. Repairs took two weeks and was done on schedule. I received constant text messages updating the progress of the repairs. If you need your car repaired, this is the place!

Sadly not my first review, however, this place continues to provide excellent and friendly service. I ve had my car serviced about 4 times now and they never disappoint. Every human you speak to is knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. It helps greatly in an already stressful situation.

Had the bumper and headlight repaired through insurance on my Mazda. Super happy with their continuous communication throughout the repair, and it looks as good as new!

Coats recently handled an insurance claim for us and the service was impeccable!! They are very professional, efficient, and communicative! Highly recommend for auto body repair! Repaired front fender and only took a week!

Many times I ve recommended Coats at South Saunders!It has to be over 30 years since Coats painted my Mercury Cougar at this location,and what a wonderful job they did!Now I have an old silver Ford Taurus 2006 that needs first aid.She has good mileage for her age and keeps on ticking, as the Taurus does. She loves her regular oil changes and I ve always provided for her needs.Has peeling and rust issues so she is hurting.Of course, a huge attraction too is that she s all paid for, long ago.She may not warrant the prime paint job that my Cougar got, but she was a different story.To close, I ve delayed getting an estimate, fearing my TAURUS is too far gone to warrant getting first aid for the rust and a new paint job, because that s what s needed.

My car was storm damaged and received extensive damage. I reached out to Coats Body Repair Service who has been my go to body shop for many years. Once again they did not disappoint. They did an excellent job on all the repairs plus customer service was A+. Peimon at the South Saunders location was extremely courteous, informative, and kind. He was very thorough in explaining the job while it was in progress and kept me regularly updated. They went the cheap route and "repaired" instead of replacing my daughter's car part after she was hit. The same part ripped like paper two days after picking the car up and they refused to adequately fix it. Not happy!

My Hyundai Kona was recently rear-ended by another vehicle and I went through my car insurance (Geico) claim process for getting the repair work done. I selected Coats Garage because I wanted to support a small business, and they were highly recommended online and by friends/family.Coats Garage did a fantastic job repairing my damaged bumper. They truly made the process so easy and convenient for me. Their service was outstanding, and they provided frequent updates regarding the status of the repair. When I picked up my vehicle, it looked brand new - they did an exceptional job with the repair.I highly, highly recommend this business! A young lady backed her vehicle into mine and through her insurance company I received a rental car and my car was fixed by Coats Auto Body. From the moment I walked into the door dropping off my car off I experienced nothing but professionalism and the BEST customer service and the exact same when I picked my car up. Also I received text messages every other day on the progress that was being made on my car. I had a GREAT experience with this company. I got rear ended in mid December. took my dads van to get an estimate so I could send over to my insurance company on late December. Called today out of curiosity of why I haven t heard from either my insurance company or coats body and they told me yeah we cant do the job because the clear coat is pealing from the entire car we can t fix or paint it since we can t guarantee the job wow so you guys wasted almost 4 weeks of my time waiting, when this van could have been fixed already somewhere else?. At least have the customer service to tell me all this when you guys first saw the car in the first place meaning back in late December will not be going back nor recommending you guys. Super frustrated, disrespected because of my time, annoyed the list goes on and on.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Peimon and his team at Coats Garage were absolutely fantastic! They worked really hard to get my car in to be fixed, even during a time where most places are backed up for months due to the pandemic. They kept me informed of the whole process. My car was returned to me in tip top shape. I am extremely pleased with their professionalism, communication, efficiency, and attention to detail. I don't really get into accidents at all but I was hit by somebody and had to get my car fixed. These guys were on top of it letting me know sometimes a few times a week with the progress was including with the text. If you want. The car looks like nothing ever happened and I was overall very satisfied with these guys. If unfortunately you need the services of a repair place, this is definitely one I would recommend.

Coats Auto Body is truly the best! They ve taken care of me and my cars on multiple occasions. Their staff is very friendly, and they worked directly with my insurance so there was very little work on my part. The quality of their work is also top notch my car looked brand new when it was returned to me. I also really appreciate that they are family owned and operated I d prefer to support local business any day, and this family is one that most certainly cares about you as a customer. Special shout out to the manager, Jamie, who really took the time to keep me updated on my car and explain the process to me. Great customer service!

Customer service and communication with me and the insurance company was fantastic! The quote I received was thoroughly explained and Scott was there with me every step of the way. Rental car was a breeze since there is an Enterprise rep on site. I would highly recommend Coats!

Jeff touched base with me regularly and Lindsay even stayed late on a Friday so I could get my Acadia back. I loved the car wise website & updates. Excellent Body Shop. I had several thousands dollars of body work repairs needed on my car. I received a quick and accurate estimate. The service was completed when promised with no issues. The car looked amazing. My car is red and a few years old so they had to a lot of blending with new paint. It was perfect. You couldn't tell it had any repairs. They cleaned the car afterwards and it looked better than it's looked in quite some time. I was very happy with the actual work. But beyond that, the customer service was outstanding. They kept me in the loop the whole time and gave me several phone calls to let me know the status. Every time I called the store, I was greeted by very courteous employees. I highly recommend Coats for all your auto body repairs.

Best body shop I've been to in Raleigh. I had them repair a rear fender from an accident in February and it was repaired to expectation and beyond. My car was returned and had been cleaned in addition to the repair work. The team is very knowledgeable and speedy - my car was ready before it was committed - and overall just really take care of you. All their staff is friendly and helpful, you can tell the culture there is really customer-centric. Lastly, Setting up my car rental was easy with an Enterprise rep on-site. One stop shop for sure. Best in town.

Unfortunately my brand new vehicle was hit and my insurance company recommended this place to go to. Exceptional customer service is their motive. I was promised a specific date and right on that date, I got a call to pickup my vehicle. Couldn't believe my eyes as the vehicle looked the same as it was before the accident. They have Enterprise Rent-a-car on site who also have great customer service.Service: Body & Trim

If you value your vehicle DO NOT and I mean DO NOT use this collision company. I never had to use a collision company before and they partner with Geico for Express Repairs . My passenger front end damage repair took a month for repair. Problem 1: They can only fix what is caused by the accident my hood had prior cosmetic damage in the center, and got further damaged by the accident. They told me It will be an additional $800 out of pocket because there was prior damage and they didn t want to touch It. Problem 2: The Weekly updates from the shop manager Jeff consisted of 2 weeks of saying they haven t finished my vehicle and they only have one guy who travels who can drop my dash from the rest of the repair. They took so long with my vehicle my insurance couldn t continue to pay for my rental car which I am covered for the maximum amount offered with the company. Problem 3: after my car was released, I had to contact them the next day because my breaks were working properly and my steering wheel button control were cracked. They told me to come back the next day and they would take a look at It. In a few short hours I received a call urgently telling me not to drive the car and they would come tow It. They had to set up a rental which was a strain because of their operation hours. The next day I received a call saying they didn t bleed my breaks correctly. Also that my break pads were very worn. At this point I wanted them to fix what they broke/ didn t fix correctly and get my vehicle out of their care. When I received my vehicle back my break pads were SCRUBBING horribly! After not operating my car for a month and a week or so how are my break pads scrubbing and they were not scrubbing when I initially brought my car in. Problem 4: As I am looking at my repair sheet It states, they cracked my front windshield during repair. Currently, they windshield has a crack in it. Last Wednesday they asked me to bring the car in but their glass repair doesn t work at the shop and they could only take pictures. I had to call them Monday because Paymon has an issue returning calls. He calls me back at the end of the day and says we can t fix It. This company is sick! Value your vehicle and DO NOT LET THEM WORK ON IT!Services: Body & Trim, Auto detailing

No one likes needing car repairs, but this was actually a fantastic experience, honestly the best I've ever had at a body shop. Completely above and beyond customer care and service!I hit some road debris Wednesday night and filed a claim Thursday morning. They had an appointment for me that same day, had a rental car waiting for me, got the (wrong) part in Friday, drove to the dealership and got the correct part that same day, and still had my car ready for me that same Friday! They even stayed open 15 minutes late when I got stuck at work so I could pick up my car! Less than 48 hours after my car got damaged, I'm back in my fully repaired car. I couldn't be more happy with this experience, and will be back again for any future needs.Service: Body & Trim

They made it brand new again!.. like almost every other car I've owned since moving to Raleigh. Coats does an awesome job and takes a lot of pride in their work
