Beware! Henry comes off friendly at first, sounds competent, and will tell you he can do the work, but I know first-hand that that isn't the case. I gave him $25,000 to restore my Bronco (which he said would be completed in 6-12 months). 17 months later he hasn't started and plans to keep my money. This is the real kicker: he won't return my vehicle and keys until I sign his hand-written document that I won't "harm his company in any way" (aka I can't sue him for my money). So, he still has my car and money. Really classy. In the middle of a lawsuit now and have found out this isn't the first time he's done something like this before.Hopefully, I can help someone else from going through this nightmare. I should of been weary when he told me he was working on Jay Leno's bronco...

I trust Henry to keep all my vehicles in great condition, some of them with over 250k miles. I can take cross country trips without a worry and even get insight when getting cars for my children. His ability to diagnose auto problems is beyond compare. You get what you pay for, and Carworx is worth every penny.

I had my first encounter with Henry today as I suspected a busted hose in my car. I cannot convey enough how helpful he was! He was very honest and knowledgeable. He did not try to rip me off. I trust him as though he was my own father (who is a mechanic in my home town). I am still almost in tears at his generosity and honesty. It turns out nothing was wrong with my car but he's got a customer in me for life!! I rarely ever leave reviews but I have been so impacted by Henry and his business that I had to share!

I have been a customer of Carworx and Henry for almost 10 years. There is no problem he can't solve. He delivers very quality work and with the most economical cost. He is a master at his trade. Nicest guy and helpful. It is a whole different experience than a big commercial repair shop. You get one on one service and actually get to talk to the mechanic working on your car. I feel very confident and at peace knowing my car is in the best hands.

In November 2015 I took my Mazda Miata to a well know motor company on Atlantic Avenue, hoping that they would fix my car, and get it running properly- They kept it and could not really find out what the problem was, going from one thing to another- after many stressful weeks, they wanted to charge me some outrageous amount to fix it.I had it towed back to my house.I took it to Henry at Carworx and he diagnosed the problem straight away, and had his mechanic make the part I needed for my car to get it running again.He not only fixed my car, he had his secretary post it on line and also he met with every prospective buyer, and last week I had a buyer and sold my car.Henry is not just a successful business many, he is a true professional in every way, he lets you know what the problem is and how he is going to fix it, he doesn't 'string you along' take your money and do nothing for you.I will recommend him to all my family and friends- Carworx is the best in Raleigh!

Was referred to Carworx by some good friends last Fall when our older-model car was leaking a ton of oil and on the brink of the junk-yard. I found the owner, Henry, to be a straight-shooter, honest, good counsel, and willing to take on a project when others told me it wasn't worth it. He and his team took on a very tough timing-chain/oil-pump repair and my car has been leak-free ever since and runs terrific. It wasn't a cheap repair, but it honestly saved us tons of money on finding a replacement vehicle, not the mention the unknown of a "new/used" car. He also diagnosed and helped me out on a couple of other repair issues that I'm going to DIY. Super-pleased with this repair shop!

I could not speak more highly of the professional auto repair facility than Carworx or then man that runs it, Henry Tilton. He is a man of integrity, honesty and vision. I had the good fortune of working for Henry Tilton when I was in high school some 30 years ago. I had little experience fixing things and he took me under his wing and personally trained me. That knowledge still serves me well to this day. When I was 17, I had my gear shift fail in an 1984 Audi on my way to catch a ferry with my girlfriend the passenger seat. Car was stuck in 4th gear. Finally stopped at dinner, borrowed some tools from a guy in a truck an crawled underneath to fix it AND make the ferry to Ocracoke, NC. I was a hero to my girl and Tilton was to me. I messed up my pick up truck my freshmen year in college and he helped me put it back together. He is way more than a skilled auto repair shop owner. Henry Tilton is an honest, engaging and creative person that always does his best to help you in anyway you can.Services: Transmission, Body & Trim, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes

Can't go wrong. I have had Henry work on two different vehicles and I have no complaints. They are quick with their work, knowledgeable in their work and stand behind what they do. I would recommend to anyone.

This guy is an absolute crook. He took us for a $4,000 ride to fix our car. In the end he didn t do anything meaningful and attempted to show us how to disconnect our battery so we could pass an emissions test. So glad karma hit this guy for tax evasion. Please don't anyone make the mistake of using Henry Tilton here at Carwox to work on their car. He has had my vehicle at his shop for three weeks now and will not return any calls or texts. I have gone to the shop on multiple occasions during working hours and the gates are closed. We sent a tow truck and the Police to the shop to retrieve the vehicle and he refused to give it up for some reason. We are now having to press charges. Please don't anyone make the mistake of taking your vehicle here. This man is very mentally unstable from the encounters me and my brother have had with him. I am the third person that has said they have had a very similar experience that I know of.

Had my Ford Explorer serviced here recently. Apparently it's a common for a Ford to kick out a spark plug, and I was advised this was the place to go for such an issue. Was not disappointed. Issue resolved in a reasonable time. Now back on the road.

I referred a friend to this shop and they did superlative work on it, the mechanics here have years of professional engine transmission drive-train experience. When no one else could diagnose my friends car this place not only found the problem, but fixed it for a very reasonable price. Great Shop!
