My older car's gears started slipping then drove fine. I took the vehicle in, they ran diagnostics, and couldn't find anything wrong with it. While I had asked for a transmission fluid exchange, they recommended against it due to the vehicle's age and likelihood of actually causing a problem. Was pleased at their candor and not pushing to do something just for the money while also being mindful of my car. Thank you!

Would NOT recommend!! They have had my car going on a month to change a waterpump. In the process of changing the waterpump and timing belt that messed the motor up in my car. Then they went to replace the motor and that motor was no good. Now we are on motor two and something is wrong with this motor too. Do not know when my car will be fixed. Then in the process of all this I was told by the owner that he would just push my car out of his shop and I can take it somewhere else to get the problem they THEY caused fixed. Staff is rude, Josh thinks that everything is a joke and laughs everytime that I call up there to get a update or to ask a question. This is no laughing matter. I just want my car fixed properly and returned to me. But at this point I dont thik the car will ever be right and that i will always have problems with it.

I recently had some work done at this location due to a shifting problem I had from another AAMCO location that did a complete rebuild to my transmission. After the other location told me "There is nothing we can do" I took my truck here. I wish I had taken my truck here because these people were fantastic in addressing my issue and Brad assured me that it will be fixed properly. He kept his word and promise to me because there was indeed a problem which is now corrected, and my truck is shifting like it should be. I highly recommend this place because these guys know their stuff!

I brought Brad and his crew a challenge. A 1998 Ford Ranger that needed a new clutch and master cylinder. This repair is not a standard replacement and requires some special knowledge to get it right. Though it took them a while to figure it out, ultimately they delivered the fix perfectly and I expect to drive this truck for another 22 years! Thanks, Brad.Service: Transmission

I took my vehicle to 3 different repair shops. Trying to use an Auto Parts and Service Repair Warranty purchased through financing is NOT a process that seems familiar with most regional or national repair chains, Firestone, Mavis etc... the other, Grease Monkey, thankfully had a working knowledge of the Warranty process but was the 3rd repair option, 1st and 2nd mentioned previously, who misdiagnosed the issue with my vehicle, completely. Bad CV joints, axle damage and finally, the transmission. Referred to Aamco for this, the real problem was diagnosed, far from a transmission or CV Joint issue. Owners were well aware of the Warranty process, repaired the correctly diagnosed issue and a small amount of other work for free in return for an unexpected delay in service time. This whole process was stressful and a little surreal from multiple misdiagnosis, but these guys knew exactly what was they were doing. Grateful, thanksService: Steering & suspension repair

One star because I had to! I originally heard all good things about the name brand Aamco however this job I will never go back to! Took my van for a transmission replacement, they did my rear diff at the same time. Transmission fluid leaked when I picked up and my transmission Mount bolt was loose! My e-brake cable broken on driver side and left disconnected on passenger side. Took back to fix, transmission Mount got tighten, still leaked fluid when picked up never even looked at e-brake cables. Took back and said they needed to redo transmission under warranty, I let them and picked up it was still leaking has leaked since we got it back and now they want to charge me to fix it! I explained to them it was leaking since they originally did it. Fixed the leak which was the transmission pan gasket but didn t clean up their mess. now less then 2 weeks since they did the transmission flush with the pan gasket the transmission whistles upon acceleration. Looking for a new transmission shop, just wanted to warn people!

BEWARE!!!! Our sons car was having transmission issues and we left the car at the AAMCO Pineville to have it inspected. We were told that basically the transmission needed total replacement and they could get us a remanufactured transmission for $3300.00 plus labor, 5 months out. Also, they wouldn't look at a repair or rebuild. We were informed the total cost with labor to complete would be a little under $5000.00. They offered to install a used transmission as well (all high mileage ... my son's car has ~60k miles). We searched to see if we could find a transmission ourselves so they could install it, and found one with warranty for $2100. Their price for labor went up ~$600 (without warranty), or we could go through them at their $3300 markup for the transmission ... but the total price seemed to creep up (now over $5100). I lost confidence in both the high price and whether or not they fully explored other possible causes. I found another shop for a fresh start. They found the problem (a damaged transmission line) ... including tow, the cost is under $500.00. Also, the tow truck driver said the owner suggested they charge us extra for being a nuisance. We were the ones that got away......BEWARE!!!!

Brad and team were very flexible and helpful to get my transmission fixed. There were some issues right after the transmission was changed but they took care of everything without charging extra. Now it's running seamlessly. I definitely feel like their goal was to do a good job, not just get my money like other places. I'd go back in the future (bur hopefully don't have to since the transmission should be good for the next 3 years!).

They did a clutch replacement, the slave and master cylinder replacement, and also they turned my check engine light off from an oxygen sensor. I appreciate the culture of this place. Brad and his team are people with Integrity that you can trust. I originally ask that they replace a transmission coolant line but they could not find the correct line. So I told them to replace the rubber hose that is connected to the lower radiator which was a two inch hose. They did 5 days later and $405 labor unacceptable. They did top up the transmission so they say, I hope. I believe this is a case that should be heard at small claims court.Service: Transmission

Very untrustworthy shop. They charged me thousands to rebuild my transmission, replace my battery, only to return it to me with the alternator dead. Each week it was this next thing will cost $600, is that ok, only to charge thousands after they had completed the work. I ve never worked with sketchier mechanics in my life.

I had stopped by a couple of months ago with the engine light and tire light that had been on for awhile Brad immediately diagnosed the problems correctly but the tire sensors had to be replaced at Hyundai dealer had a poor experience there ; so when another problem occurred , I thought I d go to the AAmco place again .despite their busyness , the efficiency , knowledge and customer service at this place is outstanding ! Will definitely go back with my auto needs !

If your looking for a trustworthy mechanic, than Aamco Pineville is the place to go. Brad and his team took great care of my car, and communicated cost of repairs upfront so their was no surprises. Brad was very understanding of my busy work schedule and the customer service provided made me feel like I was a priority. Thankfully it was a belt broken and the repair took no time at all. Brad and the rest of the staff are incredible. They did everything they said they would and in a timely manner. My car broke down while I was visiting from Virginia and was forced to leave it to be repaired due to me not having the time or the money necessary to take it home to Virginia. The staff was understanding and worked with me allowing me to leave the car to be repaired and returning to Charlotte a week later to pay and obtain my vehicle . They did not charge me any storage fee which I found to be unusual because a lot of repair shops charge a fee if your car is repaired and waiting on their lot for pick-up. The car ran great on the way home thanks to all involved ! Definitely recommend this location for all your needs !!!!Service: Transmission

I called ahead to double check my warranty and service agreement would cover a quick check to make sure my transmission was in good shape. I was told yes it would be covered. I drop off my truck and come to pick it up later that day - charged $75 and they drove my truck nearly 100miles to tell me nothing was wrong with it. AAMCO was recommended to me through Goodyear. I have been having an issue with my car that is very inconsistent and have talked with multiple different people and no one could seem to figure it out. The car dealerships made it clear they didn't have the time to spend driving my car to see if they could get the issue to replicate. I called Brad and he said he was willing to drive the car for the week and see if he could figure it out. He called every day with updates and I know 100% he put a lot of time and effort into diagnosing my car. Way more than any dealership would. I appreciated his honesty throughout and will definitely be bringing my car back in the future. Mechanics are hard to find and trust and I would recommend AAMCO to anyone.Service: Electrical

Brad is a great trustworthy guy who cares for the people that are his customers. I came in thinking I had a transmission issue on my 2006 F-150, and they diagnosed the issue for free which was significant, but at least not transmission related. Brad s pricing fix for my engine issues was about $450 cheaper than the Ford dealership, and he offered a 12 month 0% financing credit company to lighten the load over the next 12 months. I have already gone back for other work since then in less than a month.Brad and the folks at AAMCO are my new go to guys in town!

Brad and Mike were exceptional! I lost the transmission in my Silverado 1500 while passing through on vacation. Even though they were slammed with work, which was very evident by the constant phone calls and customer traffic, they made every effort to get me and my family back on the road in a timely manner. Mike was Amazing through the process of helping getting my transmission fixed! After a long 7 week process excited to finally get my car back. It was supposed to be back Friday and after leaving messages or being told I will get a call back finally Wednesday morning I get through and am told the speed sensor is bad they should have it done by end of day. Ok, understand. Get a call at 3:30 my car is done! Yay. So we pack the kids to go pick it up. Pay and get in the car it doesn't start. They say it needs a battery, pay for a battery. Leave and call realizing my AC, radio, cigarette charger and back up camera don't work. They say drive it and after 30mins it will reset. It did not. I dropped it back off that same night. I had to call and follow up, they said the fuse blew for the radio and cigarette outlet. They fixed it but say my AC clutch is rusted and must have shorted the Tipm. Offered a discounted rate of $1673.70 to fix. But everything worked perfect before going in. I had another mechanic look and video the clutch it barely has any rust as the car is only 5 yrs old. The compressor is seized up now which it wasn't. They state its nothing they did. While everything started amazing well i regret my decision as now I'm left with a huge bill and no ac with 3 little kids and up to me to figure it all out. Oh and my driver door has black grease all over the tan door .

I recently had my Jeep Grand Cherokee serviced by Brad and his crew. Brad did a great job explaining to me what the problem was and what options I had. There was a mix up and delay in parts, rather than hiding behind the issue, Brad took it head on. I appreciated and respect Brad's approach to his business.Brad took the time to answer all of my questions, he is kind and courteous.
