I launch my kayak here but usually just go for a nice stop on a walk or bike ride. It s really nice to sit on the floating dock and watch the sun set, and put your feet in the water when it s warm. The ramp is nice and everything well maintained, and there s a separate pier for fishing or wildlife viewing, with a floating dock on the end that a dinghy or kayak could tie to.

Nice boat launch, free to launch and park. It's a NC Wildlife public access.

Nice place to fish in the middle of the night. The dingy dock is a dark quiet place with tons of bait and a great location to get some nighttime pics of the shrimp boats at dock.

Absolutely beautiful boat ramp except If It Bolts too long and you fall off the ramp LOL it was near impossible to get that trailer back onto the ramp. But for most people with normal sized boats I'm sure it won't be a problem it's a beautiful place with good parking.

Boat ramp is always packed with weekend warriors or people with cars just parking at the boat boat ramp making it impossible to park your trailer I have lived here for years same every summer yuppies who go out drinking ex think they own the water cant even drive there boats then joy riders then there's the charter captains who have there clients meet them there for launch than you got you family's who just want to get out and enjoy themselves. Guys there's another boat ramp at Dawson creek just down the road oriental is for 20+ ft boat Dawson creek is not take your puddle ship down there

Limited parking, cars w/o trailers taking up spaces, narrow streets and tight turns leading to it. Ramp and dock is excellent, easy to use, and best of all no charge.

Nice ramp but very limited parking and desperately needs to be resurfaced with stone and drug occasionally. Huge pot holes in the drive area.

Good docks along ramp, disability accessible with parking space. Wish there was more parking, but the area has utilized all the space it can for that.

Very nice ramp and parking but needs to be larger. Not recommended for large boats

Great place to kayak. Birds, fish relatively calm. Ok for novices too. Porta potty at launch.

Should keep it a secret...but its perfect may run out of parking but two docks and very popular on the weekends.

Good times if you are fishing from the Pier there is something in the water straight out from the end of the pier and you're line can get cut or your bait can get stuck by what ever it is.
