Simply put, this is how you run a local car care center. They've been here for as long as I can remember and I can't remember ever bringing a car or truck in for repairs or improvements that I wasn't super happy with the results and experience. A few weeks ago was no different.After buying a used truck that had hidden oil and power steering leaking issues (long story with another review) I called for an appointment and they worked us in within a few days. After a few hours they had diagnosed all the issues, not just the leaks, and presented us with a list of options, timeframes, costs and recommendations. As the tech worked on the truck they found a few more things and each time called and made sure I'd want to repair that as well.Two days later we had our truck back with no leaks and many other less visible issues repaired. So... simply put, you can't go wrong. Erin is working hard to continue her dad's legacy and when you can go somewhere where they know your name, know your vehicle and treat you as a friend instead of a customer... well, you wish everyone else you have to deal with could learn from that. One thing though... bring your checkbook. They're not a shade tree mechanic shop that will duct tape things to get them working and they're not the cheapest around. But, it's one of those things that good quality work, friendly service and peace of mind... well, you get what you pay for.

This place was super thorough, the staff as well as the owners went above and beyond. This is the only place that I'll ever take my vehicles from now on.They are definitely honest johns because the 75 cents change I left the week before was waiting on me when I returned. .Thanks "Mama T" David's Car Care...love you guys.

If your car breaks down I hope you have the good fortune for it to happen near North Wilkesboro. I have had family members on two separate occasions that this has happened to as we travel back and forth to the mountains. By fate I reached out to David's Car Care for assistance. In my life I have never been so well treated by a service company! You would have thought I was their next door neighbor. It was almost surreal, like I was in Mayberry and Opie was going to come in any minute. So was this just a one time thing? NO It happened again. Same crazy friendly service, great work and fairness in price. We could all take a lesson from them on how to treat people. Thank you David's!

David s Car Care offers great service. All employees are friendly and knowledgeable. They remember who you are and everyone is kind. I feel safe taking my car there knowing I won t be tricked and that the advice they give is solid. They are upfront about pricing and urgency. I will continue taking my car here and have convinced my husband to switch over as well.

I have been to Dave s Car Care a number of times now for different issues on an older car. One problem couldn t even be re-created in the shop, but they kept searching for the root cause of the intermittent problem and found (and corrected) it. They really cared that the issue was corrected! Their customer service is top notch. Holly was always respectful and friendly! She was so knowledgeable, providing me with options and recommendations. Their services are reasonably priced. Work was completed when they said it would be. This business is run with integrity. I would highly recommend it!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine diagnostic

The most positive experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I was quoted by a dealership workshop an atronomical price for routine maintenance and a few other issues I was having with my vehicle. This led to me finding David's for a second quote. Their quote was significantly more reasonable and I scheduled my car in for some work. The staff are amazing, from reception to the workshop everybody is friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. If they find an issue they will call to ask permission before working on it, the quality of work is second to none and the cost is amazing. I make a long drive to get my work done at David's and I will continue to do so as they are the only workshop I trust.

Very professional and knowable about vehicles. Received a 22 point vehicle check at no charge. This in itself was amazing to me in today s world. Jamie, the mechanic, explained everything he did and also the recommendations for a couple of other issues that needed to be addressed in the near future. After the service was complete, Jamie drove the car as well as one of the owners to ensure that the car was indeedfixed. I was also very pleased with the fair pricing for today s parts and labor. I was so much pleased that I booked an appointment to fix the future recommended repairs. Awesome company, that I highly recommend!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Staff is knowledgeable about all vehicles, as well as polite, respectful an unlike other auto repair shops. They truly care about you as a customer, an when u bring your vehicle to David's, u have peace of mind knowing your car or truck is going to be well taken care of and repaired correctly the first time!!

David Car Care is Superb Quality you won't find anywhere Wilkes County. Dave is very honest, upfront and affordable with superb quality work! BEST OF ALL They work in timely fashion and they even go the extra mile take you home if needed. David Car Care "DOES CARE!" Don't waste your time trying to get it done cheaply and than later realize (wished) you should have spent a little more to have the vehicle repair warranty the work and never have to worry about it again!All my life we have used vehicles and trust me, I learned price is never a factor but quality and honesty is worth every cent. I Have always used David Car Care never an issue and never had to take back in, they fix the problem the first time. The prices are lower than the dealers shop with the same quality repair results! What else can you ask for??? Thanks to Dave & Staff, I can honestly say, I wish your shop was here in FL. If I was able to drive my vehicles to your shop from FL, i would! Thanks for getting my vehicle to Florida safely. :o) May you & family and shop be blessed.. GB

The people at David's Car Care are honest, and driven to provide the best customer service. I go there because they really do care that you get quality service as well as get the best price available on all the parts you need. The Keurig in their lobby is certainly a plus when I have had to wait there more than a couple of hours! I also love that they even think about the little ones; my children look forward to going by there because they love to play with the wooden train set. Great smiles and hospitality. Keep it up, guys!

Best experience at an automotive shop since I moved to Wilkes county 6 years ago. Excellent customer service and very friendly (Thanks Holly, you rock!). Communication is key, and the ladies at David's kept me updated through every step. Excellent quality of work for a fair price. I recommend them to anyone needing repairs.

Erin and Holly are very friendly and have always done their best to give multiple options when fixing stuff, or saying this is the only option to fix this. Have never had any issues with any repairs that have been here. So much so I am now trusting them with my daughter's first car.

Holly and Erin are the Best!!! David serviced my cars for many years and now the girls are carrying on his legacy. I know he is really proud! I brought my daughter s Car from High Point for service because you want someone you can trust to be honest about what you need or don t need. You cannot find a better place for service!

First visit to David's - excellent service and they know how to treat customers. Large, clean customer waiting area with Internet access and comfortable seating with tables. They're a 45 minute drive for me, but wouldn't go anywhere else in the future. Dealing with a family run business is far better than the usual repair shop.

Although they strive for excellence and have a good rep. I brought it in thinking it had a problem well turns out it did not problem is they went ahead and did thourough checking to see if anything else was wrong and in many cases that would be good but I happen to be having major financial difficulties and absolutely could not afford to pay the 57 dollars and not have any work done. I would prefer that they ran it by me first and then I could have said me if you think there's no problem let's just flush my AC cooling system because I need my money to go towards things that need work at this time due too the financial strain it would have been a real blessing to not get the check over although nice I also did not know I'd pay if no work was done. Now I've spent 60 bucks I do not have on something I did not ask for. I even called before bringing it in and asked if I brought my car and nothing was wrong would I be chrged money. I appreciate there good work but this is a simular issue I've felt with several times before where shops don't confirm rather you want a service that seems like a good idea but especially with covid ppl in my opinion should be specific in these situations to not cause a person to spend cash on a service that was not necessarily a priority. I'd give a 5 star because they deserve it but I'm giving three stars for the miscommunication that put me in a position of putting the very little I had into nothing when I have two other vehicles that I can't afford to have repairs done too.. Beyond that is highly recommend them lol

Family owned, friendly atmosphere, fair prices. Two sisters run there place after taking over from Dad and they're doing a great job. I'd send my daughter there without worrying that she'd be overcharged because of gender or ignorance. Prices are fair (they have to eat and pay bills too) and the work is completed as advertised. Good place to do business.

Drove 45 minutes to get here, and it was completely worth it. Two very nice ladies run the place and they have super cute dogs behind the counters. The seating areas are comfy and everything in here looks great. Their prices are great, and I can't believe I didn't come here sooner. Great service, thanks.

They make you feel like family and always take care of your vehicles as if they were their own. Very reasonable prices as well. I highly recommend David's Car Care Center. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else.

By far the finest Automotive repair facility in the Wilkes County area. The level of detail that they go to provide you the most economic Auto Service is a above reproach... Holly is a service center manager that cares about every single one of her customers.

We have been using David s Car Care for almost 20 years and have always had a great experience and excellent service from the most knowledgeable people in the business. Although we have moved away from Wilkes, when possible we will still use David s!

David's Car Care provides quality automotive service with a friendly and thoughtful approach. They will tell you the truth, like it or not. They try to catch the small problems before they become large problems. I appreciate that. We wouldn't consider anyone else for our family's vehicles.
