Very honest and hard-working people, I can t express enough on this review how much Damon helped me. After being in a very bad accident, they understood what I was going through and worked with me to get through this hard time. I am grateful to have came across such great people. They do a very good job for the best price you can get within the surrounding counties. They will handle your towing, needs down to replacing tires. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE!

Damon is an absolute sweetheart! He is so polite and genuine. He goes above and beyond, but unfortunately when I asked how much he was he said he couldn't be bought I was stressed about the situation and because I was trying to get to work so his kindness and sense of humor was very much needed and appreciated.You will not find anyone better!

You never know when you are going to need a tow! This last Thursday we were traveling from Tennessee to Sugar Mountain for a weekend full of snowboarding. We were traveling with our two dogs who were ready to be out of the truck after 5 long hours of driving. Our GPS routed us through an undeveloped neighborhood that had switchback roads with 1.5 of untouched snow. We have 4WD and experience driving in snowy conditions. Long story short, we ended up in a ditch. Our dogs freaking out, and very limited cell service. I called almost every tow company I could find and none were able to help. BUT WAIT! We came across South Ridge and he was quick to answer, friendly and prompt. He was on his way within minutes and there within 30mins. Thank goodness we found him! 10/10 would recommend.

The other Friday night my son and I were coming down Table Rock Road from visiting some friends camping and I got a flat. Literally no sooner than my wheels hit the gravel from the paved patch at the very top. I rode down the entire road having a panic attack and spotty service. Till my psi said 3 and I hit the paved road at the bottom near the nice houses. South Ridge Towing & Recovery came and saved me! I didn t have to wait very long and he kept in touch with me (as best we could with my service). Was a very nice guy! Didn t make me feel uncomfortable at all which is important as a female alone with a kid down a dark road in the middle of nowhere. Definitely recommend!< This was a personal Facebook post I posted about a month ago. Since I ve written this post on my own personal page, I ve had to call on South Ridge towing again!! He came out and helped me with another flat up in Newland. Really nice guy and high recommend using his services! I ll never call anyone else in the area.

If you are in an unfortunate situation of needing a tow service - this is the only call you need to make! Damon was kind and compassionate after we had just been in a bad car accident. He was calm and handled our situation/car with such professionalism. Even making sure our children we were off the road and helped us get back home safely. He is the epitome of a true southern gentlemen. What a blessing he was to our family. Praying for him to have continued success in his business. Your kindness will never be forgotten! Thank you!!!! I recently had to have a towing company come get my truck after a wreck on hwy 181. The trooper called another company but they only had a rollback and was unable to recover my truck. So i found South Ridge Towing through some friends and called them. He showed up really quickly which was very nice. When he got there he went straight to working getting my truck out. He had to pull it over a guardrail but did an excellent job. He was a very nice and i highly recommend this company for anyone in this area or anyone passing through that may be in need of towing service. Oh and i almost forgot to mention, his pricing was phenomena. I highly recommend!!!!Service: Car towing

Hats off to Damon of South Ridge Towing Recovery. We were stranded with a flat tire and no spare and he not only showed us where to find the air pump but he took care of us making sure we got to our destination (an hour and a half way) towing our rental care. In a world where folks mostly look after themselves, you can always get lucky sometimes and find a good company that values their customers and treats them with the service they deserve.Rarely though, do you find a great company that goes above and beyond any realistic expectation and treats you like family!Damon South gives me hope that there can be salvation for humanity (no pun or hyperbole intended). I had never met this gentleman before in my life when my brand new truck broke down in the middle of nowhere in the mountains in the late afternoon. With 2 crying babies and a 7-year-old in the back seat to go along with a scared wife and a truck that would not move, I felt completely helpless.South Ridge towing was the only tow company I could find in the area that could be summoned. Needless to say that pretty much any prior experience I've had in my life with tow companies has been unpleasant to say the least. I was preparing myself to give up an arm and a leg to get out of this mess.Then I met Damon. He not only got us of the road, but he made sure that we were taken care of from the moment we met until the time we got home. He even allowed us to park our RV on HIS OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY since this was unexpected and we had nowhere to stay. His dad left us his truck for the night in case we had any emergencies with the babies. He met us the next morning and helped us make arrangements for a rental car and provided transportation to get us where we needed to go.I tried to compensate him for the extra care he provided us and he would not take it. He said he just felt he should be neighborly... to a family of complete strangers. I'm convinced he would have given us the very shirt off his back if we needed it.Me and my family are eternally grateful to Damon and everyone else at South Ridge Towing. We were blessed that we were able to cross paths, even in a dire situation. I really do consider you to be a godsend and may you continue to provide hope and fortune to those who encounter misfortune.Damon South has my whole-hearted and enthusiastic endorsement!! Had a wheel bearing for our on my truck while in the mountains around Boone, stuck on the side of the road. Called in to get a tow, and the gentleman literally dropped everything to come get my truck and tow it all the way back to Catawba. Price was half the cost it could have been. The driver was professional, funny, and had good conversation on the long trip home. I wish he was closer to me so I could use his services again. Can t reccomend these guys enough. Headed out for a weekend vacation camping and the truck died. Damon was quick to respond and was a tremendous help getting me, my wife, 2 kids and 3 dogs to our campsite and setup. Down to earth folks who just want to help. If you re in a bind these boys will get you out of it quickly and exceptionally. If you need a tow, they should be your first call!Service: Special vehicle towing

I was rescued in the depths of a hole, stranded with my daughter on an impassable rd with a BONUS flat tire--- in the center of nowhere, on Old NC 105.South Ridge Towing was the 3rd towing Company I spoke to. They drove over an hour at 11pm to find me , pulled my car out , towed us for an hour @5mph, and then changed my tire.Grateful doesn't cover it.AND! I wasn't over charged.They are good people, fair, and say yes when others say no.I will forever sing their praises.Services: Car towing, Local hauling, Tire change

Damon came and assisted us when no one else would! Our SUV would not start while we were on vacation at Sugar Mountain. We were 4 hours from home, and it would be over $600 to tow it home. No rental cars available, and no one to pick us up. Damon arrived promptly and helped us get it started. What a lifesaver. He couldn t have been nicer or more professional. Despite the fact my son had been towed (which is never good), getting it out was a good experience. The only problem was finding a place close by with an ATM for cash. Damon was nice & waited for us to find that (took 45 min). He let us get car even though they were technically closed for the weekend. Saved us a 2 hour drive back the next day!

I got a big church van stuck in a bush. Yes, I m wondering how I did that too. But this company responded so quickly. They were out to me in 20 minutes and worked very quickly. Only charged $100, which I was very surprised and happy about. I m so thankful for their kindness and efficiency!! Would 10000% recommend this company!

They definitely went above and beyond. I m 5 hours away, but they had to tow my daughter. She had been camping for a few days, and when she got back to the car, it wouldn t crank. They not only towed her car to Boone, but took her and her dog along. The driver went above and beyond to get her somewhere when he didn t have to. Thank you all so much.Service: Car towing

Damon was incredible. We hit a major pot hole in the road and ended up having 2 flat tires. He was more than accommodating and helped us get back on the road as quickly as possible. Beyond thankful for Damon and his employee. We were pulling into an Airbnb and started to slip down the hill due to ice even though we had a 4WD car. He was incredibly sweet and even helped bring our luggage to the house from the car. He was also very concerned about why well being, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend! If there were 10 stars that what I would rate these guys. The owner Damon and his employee Cody were awesome. We were stuck on the side of the road with our truck and a Fifth wheel. They were able to tow both. Cody waited with us while we waited for the second tow truck to come which was Damon the owner. They got us to a safe place. We had a tire blow out while hauling a camper, called South Ridge and with out hesitation they came and changed our tire and had us on the road in just over an hour. My Vehicle rear wheels were stuck in shoulder/ditch, needed winch-out service. At 9pm called dispatch number, wrecker technician named Cody arrived within 30 mins. They towed someone I knew, that individual and me are experienced in the vehicle industry and their wasn t a scratch or anything after the tow but they towed the pickup out of the creek turned on it s side in crossnore very late not good people honest workers helped us out a lot and was very patient all I have to say is you get what you pay for! I m glad they around

Had a dead battery in the NC mountains; AAA dispatched South Ridge. Damon and His wife we re friendly, professional and went WAY out of their way to get me a new battery late on a Saturday afternoon. If you need a tow or a boost in their area, call these fine young people. I won t call anyone else!

We broke down 35 minutes from home on Christmas Day. These guys came out and took very good care of us! Called Hamptons and Bills in Boone and both had over an hour and a half wait. Hamptons didn't even want to come (seriously super rude.) These guys said it would be 20 minutes. They're in Newland and we were stuck in Linville. They were there in 10. Gentleman (I didn't get his name.) took us back to Boone, dropped us off at home first and then dropped the car at the shop. All on Christmas day. He said their business is about helping people and hey meant it. I'm an agent with State Farm. They'll be getting business from my clients. I can guarantee you. Excellent company!

Had a flat on US 19. Called AAA and in less than 30 minutes I was back on the road thanks to the guys from South Ridge! They were polite, professional and I am deeply grateful for them and their service!
