The staff is great. Everyone is nice and very helpful. They also pay good rates in cash for recyclable materials. Use their services with confidence.

I cannot express enough how much I enjoy the folks at this scrap yard. I've never gone to a scrap yard where everyone knows your name and you are greeted with genuine appreciation as a customer and a person. I've been in this business for less than 2 years, so I'm still learning a tremendous amount. I love that these guys are always willing to answer questions and to take the time to assist me in learning or gaining more understanding of all the nuances that can accompany working in metal recycling. I enjoy the fact that I feel like I'm a part of a team, which can be a valuable feeling when you work for yourself. The culture at this yard is head and shoulders above any experience I've had in eastern North Carolina, hands down, not even close. And the fact that they pay better than everybody else is just gravy.

Went there today and I was impressed with all the work they've done to the place. It's much cleaner and way more organized. Ya might have to be as OCD as myself to appreciate that! Lol the gentleman man named John helped me and was very personable as well as helpful. Was told they are paying top dollar compared to other scrap places. I'd definitely recommend anyone with metal to get rid of go to them and give them a try. Hopefully I'll be back soon.

The nicest people ever. Everyone is so helpful. If you just have light iron hit the scales on the right on the way in. Hit the call button and give your last name. Then drive to other side and someone will point you to the pile you need to unload in. If you just have copper, batteries, brass or other non ferrous metals skip the scales on the right (unless you have both) and just past the scales at the back of the building you will see an area with a bunch of small numbered dumpsters. Grab a cart and unload, go into building and they will weigh it all there. Once you have unloaded, hit the big scales on the way out (unless you only had non ferrous) and wait for them to tell you they have your weight. Then park out front of the office and go get your cash. They have an ATM right there. You just scan a little barcode she gives you and it hands you your money. So no trip to the bank. There are regulations in place for what can and cannot be taken so check for that online especially if your bringing in a car. Best to separate all metals because if there is two metals on one piece they pay you for the cheapest one. If you take your time before hand to cut it off or whatever you will get paid more. A magnet will be most helpful.

The man running the scales for the precious metals. Flat out lied to a person today. He told her sheathed and thnn wire were they same thing and made her combine her boxes and gave her .60 less per pound. Her one box was all thhn wire 12guage and larger solid. Her other box was regular romex. She was a black women and judging by his body language and how he spoke to her, and taking advantage of her. I believe it was racially motivated. I will never go to simms again after seeing this.

Yard hand is very rude, they assume that the CUSTOMER knows the ins and outs of the yard. They pay okay that's the only reason I have 2 stars.
